News and NotesWill Hart Be Checked Into The Heartbreak Hotel?Shawn Michaels has now what he wanted all along, and that's a shot at the WWF World Championship. At Saturday Night's Main Event Blizzard Braw it was Michaels former bodyguard, Diesel, who got his opportunity at Bret "Hitman" Hart and the WWF World Championship. However thanks to interference from Michaels, Diesel would come up empty handed due to a disqualification. On the December 19th Raw Hart was being interviewed in the ring by Vince McMahon when he was interrupted by Michaels. Michaels called Hart a paper champion while stating that the only reason he was still champion was because of him and that he "owed him" a title shot. Moments later Diesel would interrupt and state that he deserved a rematch due to Michaels interfering in his opportunity the night before. After this several more superstars would come down to the ring to plead their case as to why they deserved a shot. Owen Hart claimed he should still be the champion if it wasn't for Gorilla Monsoon unfairly stripping him of the night after he "beat" Bret in September. Lex Luger rightfully pointed out that he hadn't received his championship rematch after losing the title to Bret at WrestleMania. Mr. Bob Backlund would claim that he has been the champion since 1978 and that he never lost and wanted the belt so he "Could become God again". Lastly Undertaker would appear on the video wall to state that he's been overlooked too long and that it was time for him to become champion again. Finally Gorilla Monsoon would come down to ringside to make a decision. Monsoon announced that on the following week's Raw there would be a six man Royal Rumble match with Michaels, Diesel, Owen Hart, Luger, Backlund, and Undertaker with the winner receiving a WWF World Championship shot at the Royal Rumble event. Michaels would draw #1 and start the match against Luger who drew #2. Hart, Diesel, Backlund, and Undertaker would follow in that order. Hart would be the first man eliminated after being tossed by Undertaker. Undertaker was looked at a big favorite going but after getting the best draw looked to be really in the drivers seat. Undertaker seemed to be the man to beat until Irwin R. Schyster would come down to ringside and hop on the apron as Undertaker was about deliver a tombstone piledriver on Michaels. Undertaker would make the mistake of going after IRS which gave Michaels the opening to superkick him over the top rope. Michaels would find himself in trouble moments later when it looked Diesel was going to dump him over the top rope. Lady Luck was once again on Michaels side though as Backlund would dump out Diesel while the Heartbreak Kid landed safely on the apron. Luger would then dump out Backlund right after. Surprisingly that left just Luger and Michaels, the two men who started the match, as the last two men remaining. Luger would overpower Michaels with clotheslines and slams and seemed to be well on his way to a title shot against the Hitman. Another Luger clothesline would send Michaels over the top rope. However only one of Shawn's feet hit the floor and the rules for the Royal Rumble state both feet of a competitor have to touch the floor for them to be officially eliminated. Luger's music was mistakenly played as he celebrated what he thought was a victory by standing on the second rope with his arms raised in triumph. However then Michaels would level him behind with a double axehandle, sending Luger over the top rope and down to the floor. Through a combination of ability and luck, Michaels had won the match and was now going onto the Royal Rumble to meet the Hitman. Hart and Michaels are no strangers to one another as they wared over the Intercontinental Championship a few years ago. However this time the stakes will be even higher. In their previous encounters it's been Bret who has had the upper hand as Michaels has never been able to defeat the Hitman. Will Michaels be able to rise to the occasion and finally beat his rival and reach the pinnacle of sport? Or will the Hitman once again have his number? Viva Double J: Jarrett Conquers Las VegasTired of not being able to catch a break in Nashville "Double J" Jeff Jarrett has now moved to the entrainment capital, Las Vegas, Nevada. While Nashville "missed the boat" Las Vegas has rolled out the red carpet for Double J. According to Double J all the big wigs and executives in Vegas are vying for his services, wanting him perform his newest album, "Ain't I Great" in what Jarrett is referring to as the "Double J Sweepstakes". Along with his change in residence, Jarrett has also now acquired a new Roadie. However this Roadie doesn't just do mic checks and set up stage equipment. This Roadie's main job is being a nuisance and helping Jarrett win his matches. The Roadie made his first appearance on the December 19th Raw when Jarrett took on "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. During the bout a suspicious looking man wearing a doo rag and sunglasses would wander down to the ring. Eventually Bulldog and Jarrett's match would spill out to the floor. Bulldog would get the better of a punch exchange before rolling Jarrett back into the ring. However before Davey Boy could get back in, The Roadie would climb under the ring and grab Bulldog's leg from out of the view of the referee who then proceeded to count Davey Boy out. With his recent wins over Bulldog, Mabel, and Doink; Jarrett has now earned a Intercontinental Championship opportunity against Ramon at the Royal Rumble. With The Roadie now backing up, Jarrett is as confident ever, telling Ramon to shine the title belt up because after the Royal Rumble it will coming home with him. Ramon's reply to Double J? "Don't sing it, bring it!". Death and TaxesBenjamin Franklin once said "that nothing is certain except death and taxes". However according to Irwin R. Schyster paying taxes is certain even after you're dead. After joining and helping the WWF All Star Team defeat Ted Dibiase's Million Dollar Corporation at Survivor Series, the Million Dollar Man has made ridding the Dead Man from the WWF his new top priority. Million Dollar Corporation member Irwin R. Schyster has "launched an investigation" against Undertaker, claiming that after he's through with him that it will be Taker who is resting in peace. On the December 26th Raw Undertaker would take part in a mini six man Royal Rumble to determine the new number one contender for Bret Hart's World Championship at the Royal Rumble event. Thanks to IRS's interference, Undertaker was robbed of that opportunity. As a result Undertaker has put his championship aspirations on hold to get even with Irwin and at the Royal Rumble will get his chance when he goes one on one with the tax man in a grudge match. New FacesTowards the end of 1994 there have was many new faces who surfaced in the WWF. Perhaps the most promising of these newcomers is "The Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama. The 6'7" 330 pound monster lives up to his nickname as he excels in all forms of fighting whether it be boxing, kick boxing, or martial arts. These attributes have caught the eye of "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase who is looking to recruit Kama into his Million Dollar Corporation. Another big man looking to make big waves is Maxx Payne. At 6'6" and 350 pounds Payne is definitely an imposing figure. Hailing from "The State of Euphoria", Payne is an exceptional guitar player and while you wouldn't guess it by his appearance, also an accomplished amateur wrestler who was a former All American collegiate wrestler at Iowa State. Maxx uses his amateur skills to great use with a brutal armbar submission hold that is aptly called the Payne Killer. Entering the Tag Team ranks will be identical twins The Bruise Brothers, Ron and Don Harris, two giant West Virginia mountain men who have never seen a color TV in their life. Managed by Uncle Zebekiah these towering twins will surely make quite the impact in the tag team division. Another rugged newcomer who has arrived on the scene is the Arkansas hog famer Henry O. Godwinn (appropriately giving him the initials of H.O.G). The rough and tumble 300 pounder has proven to be quite capable inside the squared circle, utilizing a devastating reverse DDT that he calls the Slop Drop to put opponents away before humiliating them by performing a literal slop drop in which he empties his bucket of slop onto them. There's also superstars coming to the WWF from all over the world such as Hakushi from Japan, Aldo Montoya from Portugal, and Mantaur from Greece. Hakushi, managed by the face painted Shinja, is a high flyer who appears to be fearless and is known as "The Modern Day Kamikaze" due to his daredevil style in the ring. Montoya, another wrestler who excels in aerial tactics, is also a former soccer player. Montoya uses his former experience as a soccer player to good use in the ring by executing a Pele Kick, except instead of kicking a soccer ball he kicks the opponents in the face. Hailing from The Island of Crete is Mantaur. Managed by Jim Cornette this close to 400 pound half man half beast is looking to trample anyone who gets in his way. Surely all of these newcomers will make their mark in the WWF in 1995. RankingsSinglesBret "Hitman" Hart: WWF World Champion(c) 234, Calgary, Alberta 1. I like that you still did the finish of the real Rumble for the six man Rumble. A good way to set Michaels up as a threat to Bret.

News and NotesLT: Looking to Sack Bam Bam at WrestleManiaThe Royal Rumble was a night Bam Bam Bigelow would like to forget. Bigelow and his tag team partner Crush were huge favorites in their Tag Team Championship defense against the underdog duo of 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly. Even though Bigelow had been ailing for the previous few weeks with a knee injury he would continue to wrestle through the pain with his manager "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase still signing for the match at the Royal Rumble thinking that there was no way the undersized duo of Kid and Holly could beat his Million Dollar Tag Team even if one of them wasn't one hundred percent. It looked like Dibiase was going to be right as Bigelow would eventually use his two hundred pound weight advantage to smash the Kid into the canvas. Bigelow would then go to finish the Kid off by squashing him with his moonsault. However with his bad knee Bam Bam would have difficulty maintaining his balance on the top rope even having to step down and climb back up again. Not helping matters for Bigelow would be his own partner Crush who accidentally shook the ropes when hitting them to give Holly a clothesline, thus causing Bam Bam to lose his footing and fall off the top rope and hit the back of his head, knocking himself out. The Kid would drape his arm over the unconscious Bigelow to score the pinfall and complete the massive upset. After the match a disgusted Dibiase and Crush would head to the back not even bothering to help Bigelow. When Bigelow finally came to the capacity crowd in the Tampa Sundome laughed at and heckled him for being pinned by a Kid half his size. One of the people in the audience laughing at Bigelow was none other football great Lawrence Taylor, the former linebacker for the New York Giants who is considered by many to be the greatest defensive player of all time. When Bigelow took umbrage LT would apologize and offer a handshake. Instead Bam Bam would shove him down before leaving in a huff as LT's friends restrained him. As a result of his actions Bigelow was temporarily suspended. Bam Bam refused to apologize to Taylor and instead challenged him to a match "any time, anyplace". Taylor initially declined the match but after repeated insults by Bigelow eventually accepted the challenge. It was then announced that the match will be taking place on April 2nd at WrestleMania XI. Despite LT's accomplishments on the gridiron he very likely is going to be in over his head against Bigelow. LT has never had professional wrestling match before while Bigelow is a seasoned pro and one of the best in the sport. However maybe LT's tremendous athletic ability will overcome his lack of inexperience. Being a former football great LT is also used to studying game film and being well prepared so he might be able to perhaps recognize some weaknesses in the Beast From The East's game. Bigelow also hasn't been 100% over the last few months due to his knee injury. Granted after not wrestling for a month as a result of suspension might have helped the injury heal a bit it could still be a hinderance to him and something LT might target. Who will come out on top when world's collide at WrestleMania XI? If You'll Be My BodyguardAt the Royal Rumble Sycho Sid made his shocking return to the WWF by helping Shawn Michaels defeat Bret "Hitman" Hart to capture the WWF World Championship. It was later revealed that Sid, who has been committed to an insane asylum for the last two and a half years, is Michaels new bodyguard. Later in the night Michaels former bodyguard, Diesel, would win the 30 Man Royal Rumble which earned him a World Championship shot against his former employer at WrestleMania XI. Although that could change as before WrestleMania XI there will be Saturday Night's Main Event Road Block on February 18th where Hart will get his championship rematch. Hart could very well win his title back and it instead might be him facing Diesel at Wrestlemania. Diesel will also be in a match at Road Block when he takes on the maniacal Mr. Bob Backlund. If Backlund can apply the crossface chicken wing on Diesel and injure him that will drastically reduce his chances of becoming champion on April 2nd at WrestleMania. According Michaels, Sid is a much better and much more dangerous bodyguard then Diesel ever was. While it's debatable that he's better it's hard to argue that he's more dangerous. On top of his tremendous size and strength, Sid is also completely unhinged and can seemingly completely snap at a moments notice. It's because of this unpredictability that many are questioning why Michaels would hire Sid as his new bodyguard. On top of being big and powerful, Diesel is also calm and cool and more importantly was also loyal to Michaels, only rebelling against when Michaels started to take advantage of his loyalty. Sid on the other hand seems to be a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. However Michaels doesn't seem to care as it was because of Sid that he's now the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Diesel although he's currently at odds with Michaels still cares about him and has even warned him about how aligning with Sid could come back to haunt him in the long term despite the short term benefits he's received because of. However these warnings have fallen on deaf ears as Michaels has stated that Diesel's jealous both of the fact that he's the champion but also that he's been replaced by someone far superior to him. Diesel and Michaels are currently both on the road to WrestleMania. However will they manage to get past their respective Road Blocks to even make it there? Departures

After this it's Wrestlemania in April and then the first In Your House in May like IRL. The weird thing is, in this timeline the SNMEs have apparently been on PPV since the very start of it (oversight perhaps?), so it seems redundant to rebrand them since there isn’t really a significant change in format that I’m seeing.

There really isn't but I felt it was kind of due for something different anyways with both SNME and IYH being so synonymous with their respective eras. Looking back I probably should've just had SNME as TV specials like they were IRL. I think it was just I wanted them to have more of PPV feel with more matches on them while still coming off as a little less then the Big 4.

I figured the kayfabe reason for bringing in In Your House would be that all the PPVs were moved to Sunday since that’s what happened in real life in 1995.

News and Notes
No Laughing Matter Over the last several months Doink and his sidekick Dink have found great joy and laughter by messing with and playing pranks on "Superstar" Scott Steiner after the Superstar and his manager Jim Cornette started to bully Dink. However it appears that they perhaps poked the bear too many times.
Steiner tired of being pranked and humiliated by Doink, would challenge him to a match with the two going one on one on the March 4th Superstars. However before the match Steiner would come out with his arm in a sling, stating that while he would like nothing more then to tear Doink limb from limb that he was too injured to wrestle. Taking the "injured" Steiner's place against Doink would be fellow Camp Cornette member Mantaur. When it looked like Doink was about to win with the whoopie cushion Steiner would shove him off the top rope to draw a disqualification. Steiner would then rip off his sling and level Doink with a clothesline, revealing that he wasn't injured at all and the whole thing had been a set up. Meanwhile Mantaur would grab a hold of Dink before feeding him to Steiner who in despicable move executed a backbreaker on the 4'0" tall clown. Afterwards Dink would have to be taken out on a stretcher.
While Steiner had a right to be upset it was a undoubtedly a cowardly move and one that was way over in the line. However at WrestleMania Steiner will have to pick on someone his own size when he takes on Doink who has vowed revenge for what the Superstar did to his little buddy. Will this new serious Doink be able to avenge his companion? Or will Steiner get the last laugh on his foe?
City versus Country Nearly two years ago Men on a Mission rapped their way onto the scene. While the hip hop trio garnered a lot of popularity it unfortunately didn't translate to championship success for Mabel, Mo, and Oscar. At WrestleMania X they would fail to win the WWF Tag Team Championship and then shortly afterwards Mo would go down with a knee injury that would sideline him for the rest of the year. Mabel would enter the single ranks but other then qualifying for the 1994 King of the Ring didn't make much headway as solo competitor either. Mo would return in December to reform Men on a Mission. However it seemed like it was a different Men on Mission from the one of old as they began to display more aggressive behavior in the ring that even Oscar was taken aback by.
When it was announced that the Smoking Gunns would be receiving a Tag Team Championship match at Saturday Night's Main Event Road Block against 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly, Men on a Mission objected saying that they should be the ones getting the title shot. Wanting to prove that that they were the rightful number one contenders MOM would challenge the Smoking Gunns to a match. On the February 5th Wrestling Challenge the two teams would square off. Both teams would wrestle within the rules at first before Men on a Mission's new aggressive style began to come to the forefront with Mo feigning a handshake and then sucker punching Bart in the face. Eventually the Gunns would get the win when Billy rolled through a top rope crossbody to pin Mo. The Gunns would start to celebrate their hard fought victory afterwards when to the shock of everyone they were attacked from behind by Men on a Mission with Mabel sitting on Bart while Mo DDTed Billy. When Oscar would attempt to try to talking sense into to them Mabel and Mo would attack him as well with Mabel squashing him with a splash. When WWF Interviewer Raymond Rougeau would try to get a world with Mabel and Mo they angrily declined comment before storming to the back.
Since then it's been a very different Men on a Mission. No more dancing, no more smiling, no more waying their hands in the air like they don't care. They now have perpetual scows on their faces and have ditched their colorful purple and gold attire to all black. They also want to be referred to as different names as Mo is now Hard Knocks Horn and Mabel is now Big Daddy Frazier while often being seen chomping on a cigar.
While a lot of the fans might not like it the change of attitude has led to a lot of success in the record books for Men on a Mission as with recent wins over The Headshrinkers and 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly they've now become the number one contenders to the WWF Tag Team Championship and will get their shot at WrestleMania XI. Will the Gunns shoot down their rivals once again? Or will Frazier and Horn finally complete their mission of becoming champions?

I'm interested to see what direction you go in with Backlund's "I saw the light" line. IRL that set up his "President Backlund" campaign, but I always thought there were two more interesting directions they could've gone.

News and Notes
Diesel: On a Road to Ruins? At WrestleMania XI Diesel would capture the WWF World Heavyweight Championship by defeating his former employer "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. However the win wasn't without controversy as at one point it looked like Michaels could've had Diesel pinned after a superkick if it wasn't for the referee being late to make a count due to being tied up with Shawn's bodyguard Sycho Sid. It was originally scheduled to be Diesel defending his newly won title against Michaels on May 14th at the first ever In Your House PPV. However Sid would have other ideas.
On April 3rd, the night after WrestleMania, Vince was conducting an in ring interview with Michaels and Sid. Michaels blamed Sid for his loss and then said that at In Your House he could take the night so he couldn't screw up again. This obviously didn't sit well with Sid who called Michaels a little puke and told him that nobody gives me the night off. An angry Michaels would yell back with Sid backing down and feigning that he was afraid. However really he was just setting Shawn up, cowardly leveling the Heartbreak Kid from behind when he turned his back. Sid would then proceed to give Michaels three powerbombs until Diesel finally made the save. Shawn suffered a back injury from this attack and as a result was out of the match at In Your House.
With his split from Michaels, Sid was now a free agent. Opportunistic manager Jim Cornette, always looking for top talent, would quickly snatch up the maniacal one and sign him up to a contract. Since then Sid has gone on a rampage destroying opponent after opponent with powerbombs and stretchering them out, saying that the carnage would only stop until Diesel gave him what he wanted, a World Championship match. Diesel has agreed and will put his title on the against Sid at In Your House.
Sid is more intelligent then he appears and many feel this was his plan all along. It seemed odd that Sid, who has always been a self centered individual, would be willing to play second fiddle to Shawn as his bodyguard. However he was just waiting for the right time to strike. Now that he has Michaels out of the way he a clear path to the title. However beating Diesel will be no small task. It should be an evenly contested bout as both men are about the same size and also utilize the same finishing maneuver in the powerbomb. It's been debated whose powerbomb is better? That question will perhaps be answered a In Your House on May 14.
Bigelow: Looking to Burn Million Dollar Corporation to the Ground WrestleMania XI was supposed to be the biggest night of Bam Bam Bigelow's career. He was in the main event of the biggest show of the year and was going against a guy who had never wrestled a match before in ex football player Lawrence Taylor. However instead it up being the worst night of his career. Despite never wrestling a match before, Taylor is also an unbelievable athlete as he was one of the greatest football players of all time. Taylor also was well prepared as Diesel, the current WWF World Champion, trained him in the months ahead of the match and was able to teach him some moves. LT would utilize these moves well and gave Bigelow more then he bargained for. However eventually Bigelow's tremendous experience advantage would come into play and it looked victory was his after he hit a moonsault. Fortunately for Taylor he would catch a break when Bigelow hurt his previous injured knee on the move and was slow to cover. As a result was LT was able to kick out at two. LT would then target Bigelow's knee with a series of football cut blocks before hitting a flying forearm off the second rope to score the upset win. All of LT's family and friends celebrated with him in the ring while an embarrassed Bigelow limped to the back with his manager Ted Dibiase, berating him all the way for losing to a football player.
After WrestleMania it was obvious that Bigelow's days as a member of the Million Dollar Corporation were numbered with Dibiase looking disinterested during his matches and his teammates, Crush and Kama, refusing to tag him during a six man tag team match. After the said six man tag Dibiase would publicly fire Bigelow from the Corporation with Bigelow then retorting "That you can't fire me because I quit!" before leveling Dibiase with a punch to the face. Unfortunately for Bigelow he was then attacked and beat down by Crush and Kama.
Bigelow would revenge on the following weeks Raw when Crush was taking on WWF World Champion Diesel in a non title match. During the match IRS would attempt to interfere on Crush' behalf but Bigelow would thwart this interference to allow Diesel to hit the jackknife and score the victory. While he was no longer with the Corporation Bigelow had made a powerful new ally in Diesel. Bigelow and Diesel would then team up to defeat Crush and IRS on the next week's Raw.
Bam Bam has vowed that he will mow through all the members of the Corporation until it's bankrupt. At In Your House he's planning on staring with Crush as the two former Tag Team Championship partners are set to collide in a grudge match.
Yokozuna: Back and Bigger and Badder then Ever! It looked like Summerslam was the last we'd ever see of Yokozuna after being buried by the Undertaker in a casket match. However at WrestleMania XI the former WWF World Champion would return bigger and badder then ever as he dominated and won the 20 Man Battle Royal. Now weighing at around over 600 pounds the former sumo star is more dangerous then ever and is looking to become champion once again. Yokozuna could earn that opportunity by winning the King of the Ring. The winner of this years King of the Ring will receive a WWF World Championship opportunity at the In Your House PPV in July. However whoever wins this tournament will really have to earn it as this year an extra qualifying round has been added meaning that there will be 32 men involved as apposed to 16. One of the first round qualifying matches will take place on the May 14th In Your House PPV when Yokozuna takes on Adam Bomb. Who will move on in their quest to become not only King but potentially champion?
