No, but not because I think he shouldnt have fired Punk, but because I think he needed to fire them both. Really send out the message this backstage shit on camera, in fighting bullshit needs to end and if it doesnt, you'l be out thr door. He could have always hired Jack back in year, but I do feel he needed to send a message and it feels like he only sent half a one. A smartass comment into the camera is in NO WAY EQUIVALENT to choking someone.

Jack needed (and likely received) a metaphorical slap on the wrist. No more, no less.
He went a little too "insider" on a line that most of the audience didn't and wouldn't care about knowing it'd likely agitate the great Chicago Man-baby, and for that he definitely needs punished, but like... a month or 2, tops.

I wouldn’t have brought him back after Brawl Out in the first place. Honestly the thing is I think there is a part of me that might have been willing to give Punk another chance, within reason, after that whole thing, if not for how in the aftermath he just kept doubling down and constantly trying to make a martyr out of himself while never showing any sort of contrition or regret whatsoever. It was still a wildly terrible thing that it's amazing he didn't see any real consequences for but it's the refusing to apologize and instead continually trying to repaint the situation to make everyone else look bad, the picking random fights with Jericho and Moxley, and the lack of any sort of apology that really got him entirely to, "F*** this guy," levels for me. The refrain of "The apology must be as loud and as public as the disrespect", while he just kept setting bridges on fire with no public displays of remorse or contrition.

I would've given him 2 weeks, but I can also see why a month would be given. These kinds of things have been happening too much in AEW and Tony needs to put an end to it.

I just can't believe Tony fell for the stinky Elite's 5D chess Machiavellian plan to influence/force Jungle Boy to say off the cuff mean things about Punk knowing it would cause him to go into a violent rage at his coworkers and staffers :/ smdh how could they do this

The pessimistic part of me fully expects Andrade to, like, roundhouse kick Jack Perry on sight and then be like "what are you gonna do, FIRE ME" afterwards.

Yeah, Jack Perry's offense is an offense. But the punishment has to fit the crime and a suspension is an appropriate one. Jack Perry getting fired for a shooty comment on camera would be the stupidest overreaction to a situation since Bryan Danielson kayfabe choked Justin Roberts with his tie.

If CM Punk's out of pocket, unplanned, antagonistic comments didn't warrant a firing, then Jack's one comment didn't. Repeated violence? Yeah that's firable. But if 'did something dumb once' is the bar then pro wrestling's about to get real empty.

Making an innocuous comment on air is not the same as PHYSICAL VIOLENCE. You don't get to assault someone just because they need a comment towards you.

I mean, if Perry's comments deserved firing then why wouldn't Punk's comments during the scrum or his shooting on Hangman Page after Collision deserve the same? Punk was fired because he was violent with his co-workers and boss. Jack made dumb comments, not comparable at all.

I’m shocked the vote is that clear
It really shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, really. Again, I'm not even going to touch the whole "if you're against CM Punk, you clearly are for everything the Bucks and the dirtsheets do" argument brought forth by his defenders. The simple fact is it shouldn't take a whole lot of brainpower to connect the events as they've played out and understand why the decision was made the way it was.
Do people really think Tony Khan, the man ridiculed and perpetually called "a bitch" for the better part of a year because of how much leeway he gave CM Punk, would suddenly conspire with other talent working for him to force him out the door on the same night the biggest event in modern professional wrestling history is going down? With all the various dirtsheets and mainstream news outlets putting a microscope on the proceedings? Where the company is very likely filming a documentary detailing the behind-the-scenes events taking place? At Wembley Stadium, a place with over 200 CCTV cameras recording 24/7?
Seriously, if anything these events has just made it more apparent that there is a not-insignificant number of delusional wrestling fans who need to seriously differentiate the worlds of reality and kayfabe a little better. The toxicity is reaching a boiling point that is being driven purely by the toxic masculinity that plagued the whole niche for decades. Is it seriously going to take another major tragedy to put it into perspective for some people that real violence is never the answer?

at this point I don’t think any tragedy would change anything you’d think with the discussion here and everywhere else the vote would be more like 70/30 though even if I can’t quite understand the logic behind the 30% and they probably can’t either

They make a good point at the 15:31 mark. That's not a good point that's weird conspiracy conjecture. No actual 'point' is being made by saying The Elite will run out Malakai Black and Miro and Andrade.
