They make a good point at the 15:31 mark. That's not a good point that's weird conspiracy conjecture. No actual 'point' is being made by saying The Elite will run out Malakai Black and Miro and Andrade. You don't think Page and the Jacksons wanted Punk to be fired?

You don't think Page and the Jacksons wanted Punk to be fired? I think "they didn't want Punk around" and "they specially 'conspired' to get rid of Punk" are two very different things, the latter of which being unsubstantiated nonsense even Nick Hausman isn't reporting on, and that it's not a 'good point' to just make shit up. CM Punk attacked a co-worker and endangered his boss. Why can't you treat him like an adult capable of his own actions and of receiving consequences for those actions?

Jack needed (and likely received) a metaphorical slap on the wrist. No more, no less.
He went a little too "insider" on a line that most of the audience didn't and wouldn't care about knowing it'd likely agitate the great Chicago Man-baby, and for that he definitely needs punished, but like... a month or 2, tops.
I would've given him 2 weeks, but I can also see why a month would be given. These kinds of things have been happening too much in AEW and Tony needs to put an end to it. I think a month unpaid is fine, if only because I assume guys suspended can take indie bookings in the interim, anyway, if the financial hit's hard.

Why would the Elite want to run out Andrade, Miro, or Malakai Black? Conspiratorial garbage by some weird neckbeards.

Maybe the Elite did want Punk to be fired. Maybe Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Christopher Daniels, and half the backstage crew wanted Punk to be fired. They're still not the ones who got involved in an altercation with Jack Perry and confronted Tony Khan. They're not the outside counsel that Khan conferred with and said Punk should be fired.
Punk screwed Punk. The thoughts and feelings of the Elite didn't. Khan did what he had to do because of Punk's own actions.

Jack Perry hasn't done anything that CM Punk hasn't done a whole bunch. Just because it caused Glass Phil to go off the deep-end doesn't mean he should be fired. You can only punish him for the act, not because how it caused someone else to react.

People really try their damnest to try and place the blame on The Elite whenever Punk screws himself over. Dude physically assaulted people and threatened his boss. By all accounts they were hanging out in the locker room getting ready for matched. As for the decision to fire him, that was Tony and his legal team I imagine, don't think the Bucks, Page, or Kenny have a legal degree.

They make a good point at the 15:31 mark. Lord help me if I ever get to the stage in life where I rely on some youtube druid with 2k followers to support my position, not because he makes my points better or more insightfully than I could, but because this is the only type of bottom feeder that will even agree with me. Check out DarkSydePhil next, he may have some enlightening takes on the subject.

If reports are to be believed, half of the reason that CM Punk melted down as severely as he did is the fact that the Elite were content to just ignore him and let him dig his own grave and force Tony Khan's hand. Of course they are probably thrilled to see him go, but the fact that he actually got into another physical altercation backstage and got himself fired is Punk's fault, and Punk's fault alone. We seem to be at a point where Punk was so clearly and objectively in the wrong in the situation that the Elite are being criticized for, quite literally, doing nothing.

I'm more pro-Punk than a lot of people around here, hell, I think the Elite are a bunch of f**king dorks, and grossly overrated by their fans to boot. I make no secret of where my allegiances lie. But this was the only outcome here. Punk had to, and it's his fault. No grand conspiracy by anyone. It's one thing to make vague comments about stuff. Quite another to get violent to the point OTHER PEOPLE were in danger. I had more typed out here. Then I read it back and decided better of it. I'm actually burnt out by it all to the point I want to stop watching for a while. I was at All In and had a blast. Then a week later I have All Out on a screen and I don't give a toss. That's what this has done to me.

And, just as an aside, I think it is just as likely that Punk's imminent debut (likely for more money than what Cody was being offered) was the reason for his AEW departure as any animosity with the Elite.
Cody's swan song promo took a direct shot at Punk, and seemed to imply that Cody was irritated that Punk talked about challenging the wrestling monopoly, and got credit for doing so, while sitting around doing nothing but being a codger on social media, while Cody actually did challenge the wrestling monopoly, but wasn't given as much credit. Cody and the Bucks, to this day, consistently praise and acknowledge one another on social media. Punk and Cody? Not so much.
Speculation, sure, but if we're going to divert this conversation into the "point" being made that the Elite "drove Punk out of AEW just like they did Cody" I think that also has to be discussed.
