Though they have tended to wear it out in recent years, I have only ever met one person who wasn’t a fan of A Christmas Story. I make a tradition every year to not watch a single second of it every Christmas

Consensus has generally changed but at time of release Spaceballs was considered one of Mel's lesser works.

Never got why people are obsessed with the Room. Not near the worst film ever. And it isnt even bad enough to be entertaining. Respectfully disagree. It's a car wreck in slow motion, and I loved it. Granted, it's the kind of movie you see with friends. I saw this with a dozen people and we all howled through it. Especially at the sex scene. The footage was used twice.

I think Spaceballs might be the only Mel Brooks movie I don’t care for.

Watched it with a group once, most were laughing some. I was sitting there wondering why. But hey I am likely the only fan of horrible movie Vampeggedon.

I think what makes The Room stand out so much over other laughably awful dramas like it is that it's just good enough to make it extra weird. If it were the same movie filmed on someone's cellphone it wouldn't really be remarkable at all but with how it's shot decently and actually has a soundtrack and stuff it gives it this kind of surrealist feel that makes it memorable.

It's a polished turd. They sure got a nice shine on it, but it's a polished turd.

Rocky 1 through 4, and Rocky Balboa. Those movies are hard not to like.

ADult Swim ruined the Room for me... they ran it as their April Fools Day joke all night...at least twice. Tommy Wiseau's weird accent also gives the film a very strange tone. Also for a while it was hard to see because Tommy was/is super protective of it. (less so now that he went oh itwas intentional joke!) So it had a cult following based on that there was this weird movie that is funny in an Ed Wood kinda way that it's hard for people to see because the Foreign weirdo that made it refuses to let anyone see it if he thinks they're going to make fun of it.

They should make a sequel to The Last Airbender. Call it "The Second To Last Airbender."

I'm almost the reverse. 1-2 are good movies, but lean a little hard into the melodrama for my tastes. Mr. T makes 3 watchable for me, and 4 I enjoy because it fully embraced the camp. Haven't seen Balboa, because it just sounds wholly depressing.

Consensus has generally changed but at time of release Spaceballs was considered one of Mel's lesser works. The lesser works of a master can still be better than what most others put out. Not being able to measure up to his best work isn’t really an insult.

Not being able to measure up to his best work isn’t really an insult. I know I mean I love Dracula Dead and Loving it but I know most people think it's probably his worst film. I was more pointing out a fact that Spaceballs was not universally liked on release... something I was kinda shocked at myself when I found that out.

Short Circuit is pretty cool along with other 80s movies of the same type. Goonies has already been mentioned. How bout Gremlins?
