Kenny is laying the ground work for what SHOULD be an absolutely incredible next run. He has quietly assembled his very own “Sinister 6” if you will in Jay White, Takeshita, Will, Okada, Bryan (who should be given the Shawn/Taker special attraction schedule going forward), and even Hangman.

Kenny’s the GOAT. I am convinced that he could (and would have) conquered and ruled over any style of wrestling he so chose with his career. The Golden Curls vs Bucks storyline was the best thing AEW had produced, creating a star in Hangman. He and Will Ospreay delivered the most believable blood feud hatred over the course of 2022 simply via social media. The work he did to create Takeshita (before Jericho and Callis made the story about themselves). He nailed the threat of the EVPs while making the audience genuinely concerned that they were witnessing a potential attempted murder. All of that without even touching on his Attitude Era-levels of comedy in the Belt Collector run.

Guy is absolutely incredible. Can’t wait for him to return to weekly TV.

I’m loving this grumpy, old man Kenny. I find it hilarious that, in what could be one of his last runs (given his health troubles), he is choosing to go damn near full-on Cornette-gimmick. In touting Punk, talking down the Bucks, admitting that locker room brawls are a good thing, shit talking Meltzer, etc, it is almost as if Omega’s looking at his haters and going, “Alright, you think I can’t work? I spent a career being the very best at what you hate, and now for my encore, I am going to make you love me.”

And it is absolutely working. Cornette, Last, and those of their ilk are eating up Omega’s shit.
