Awful news, though it does explain a lot.
When Kenny looks hurt in the ring, I always want to believe it's just his masterful selling, and when he's weird in promos I want to believe it's just his sense of humor. It sucks to know he's been in an overwhelming amount of pain, and for the sake of his comfort and well-being I hope he's able to recover sooner than later.

Damn, I've suspected he was struggling by how he's clearly limiting what he does and only announcing singles matches at the last minute (just said it in the ratings thread actually) but it's obviously worse than anybody thought, including Omega.
Given the problems he had going into his last extended break it's not sounding promising long-term but at least he has every motivation to get fit and healthy because there's no way he'll want to go out on THAT segment.

Diverticulitis definitely counts as a valid "glad it was caught when it was" thing. For a given degree of 'at least', at the very least it's not something joint, bone, or muscle-related, but at the same time, I'm just thinking how long it took Matt Hardy to really fully recover from the abdominal surgery that he had once upon a time.

I almost have to wonder if the weirdness of that promo caused TK/Jericho to insist Kenny get checked out. Just because of how sudden this came about, they announced the title match for Worlds End on Wednesday, then on Friday, this comes from out of nowhere.

I guess that's why he said he's out indefinitely. Because how quickly you recover from diverticulitis is really a case-by-case basis. Depends on a lot. Might not be very long at all. Might be quite some time.

After wrestling with the huge list of injuries he had a couple of years ago (I can't imagine wrestling with vertigo) and now wrestling with this, I'm pretty certain Omega isn't human and should be studied.

I had vertigo earlier in the year and could barely even walk around or just function properly in general, the thought of wrestling with it...jesus f***ing christ. But yeah, Omega is something else. |

I wonder if painkillers or extreme pain were the reason why he sounded so distant and out of it during that promo last Wednesday. I don’t think he drinks or gets high so it was all the more strange when I saw it. Edge, Christian, Danielson, HBK they’ve all come back stronger after indefinite multi year breaks and I’m sure this will be the same. Probably pain, like I know for sure he doesn't drink or get high, it's come up quite a bit. |

Kenny is legit, alonside Danielson, the best in ring worker the past 20 years. Hopefully he can return and give us the best bout machine one last time
