144. MERMAID CHRONICLES PART 1: SHE CREATURE (2001)I'm honestly unsure if this ever had a Part 2, but what a title! It's a decent little mermaid turns monster movie with some great Stan Winston work. 145. TAMARA (2005)"I Know What You Did Last Summer" meets "The Craft" in this one when the shy school journalist (who just happens to dabble in witchcraft at home) breaks a story revealing some of the football team are juicing. The jocks decide to get revenge, but, in the process, accidentally (whoopsie) murder her. Things get worse for them when she shows back up to school the next day... A very fun movie that I'm surprised I'd never seen before. 146. THE BARRENS (2012)A Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw 2, 3, 4, Spiral) helmed movie about a family who goes on vacation in the woods where the Jersey Devil may be living...or perhaps the father is just going insane and imagining everything. It's a slow go, low budget affair. The ending is kind of amusing. 147. HELLRAISER (2022)I'm two years late to basically say the same thing as the majority of viewers. A lot of scenes seem too dark and the movie is overlong. {Spoiler}That said, I appreciate the rich guy building a GLASS ONION style house for the Lament Configuration with a THIRTEEN GHOSTS style set-up. 148. DASHCAM (2021)The found footage follow-up from the director of Host is sunk by an unlikable main character despite some interesting happenstances. I'd be more likely to recommend the other 2021 movie titled Dashcam that's about an editor who gets sent the wrong file by the police and uses his skills to investigate the potential assassination of a politician. 149. FROGMAN (2023)A found footage movie where a man is out to prove the cryptid Frogman of Ohio is real after his initial "proof" video is debunked on a site that totally isn't Youtube. Like a lot of FF, it builds and builds slowly with the main characters until getting to the third act when they throw all their money at making it chaotic. It's a well done one of those with a very unique ending. {Spoiler}I knew nothing about the cryptid, so seeing a giant Frogman with a wizard wand was a trip. 150. NO WAY UP (2024)Managing to combine Sharks and Plane Crashes on the "anxieties people have" list, a plane crashes into the ocean and the hole it causes allows sharks to get in. The survivors lucky enough to be in the air locked back end of the plane have to figure out if they can wait for help or have to swim to the surface to gain attention. Kind of disappointing. {Spoiler}Plus, I'm just weirdly bitter that they have a scene where a character gives an "OK" symbol, the people in the plane warn of a shark, the guy turns and doesn't see it, gives the "OK" symbol again, and then moves into his doom...because the rule of threes says his detached hand, still giving the "OK" symbol should float past that daggone window. What a bummer. 151. CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT (1991)After a student preparing to leave for college accidentally releases a vampire buried into a flooded church, a town is thrown into over-the-top chaos. It's a wild horror/comedy with a load of weird, goofy humor that is presented straight forward. Garrett Morris as the town drunk who hijacks a van, slaps a cross on the top of it, and just shouts whatever scripture he can remember to keep the vampires away is perhaps the best part. 152. BLOCKERS (2018)Perhaps the beginning of John Cena's lewd comedy run as a group of parents try and prevent their daughters from losing their virginity on prom night. A pretty fun comedy mixed between all the horror I've been watching lately. Ike Barinholtz is a funny dude (also, he's pretty good as Two-Face in that Batman podcast series from a couple years ago). 153. THE OMEN (1976)That's right. I watched the prequel before watching the well regarded original. It's...really, really good, dark and moody. 154. DAMIEN: OMEN II(1978)Little Damien is now teenage Damien and he's in military school with a bunch of people elbowing him and being like "Guess what you are!" Some outright insane kills in this one. The elevator one...daggone. Just...that poor dude. Then...the crow one...DAGGONE...honestly, if everyone who mildly discomforts your child dies an absurdly awful death soon after said he events...maybe, check some things out?

80. The Wizard of Mars (1965) 81. Hostage for a Day (1994) 82. Down Periscope (1996)So, after not seeing this movie since the 90's, I decided to watch it a few years ago during the pandemic. I was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed it, so when I saw it show up again on YouTube I figured I'd give it another go. For those not familiar, Kelsey Grammar plays an unorthodox Navy officer given command of an old World War II diesel submarine with a crew of oddballs for a war game to see how well it can hold up against the contemporary 1996 US Navy. Hijinks ensue. As I said, I'm genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie, and it's not even a low expectations situation. This is a genuinely fun movie that I'd really recommend if you're looking for a ninety minute time killer.

98. Aliens for Breakfast (1995 TV movie) - Watched this on YouTube. So lately, I had been looking up a lot of information, such as Reddit threads and YouTube videos about the mythical film known as "Shazaam." Yes, the one that supposedly stars Sinbad as a genie, which unlike many children of the 1990s on the internet, I know it doesn't exist. However, I do know of this film and remembered that it starred Sinbad as an alien, as well as starred Ben Savage. In fact, I remember watching this film back in 1995.
After nearly three decades, I revisited this film. For what it is, it's harmless. It's a made-for-TV movie. It's short. It's mainly aimed towards kids, but I think it was alright. I learned it was based on a book, but I looked it up and it seems like it's not a novel, but rather a kids book with pictures and stuff. I could try it out if I want to.
In the end, this movie is just there. It's inoffensive and I thought Sinbad was funny in some scenes.

65-The Ghost Galleon-Creepy Koffee Movie Time on Amazon Prime
Creepy Koffee was a 5 or 6 season long horror host show out of San Francisco.
This time they aired the third of the Blind Dead series. Which is slow and moody and oddly fun.

She Creature never got a sequel. Was part of a series of films where directors remade old Corman horror films. Tamera is one I got on a multipack and really enjoyed. Need to sit down and go thru all 6 of the Omen films now. Got the blu ray set of the first 5.

#1) "Shogun Assassin", 1980. 7 out of 10. #2) "Turkey Shoot" (aka. "Escape 2000" and "Blood Camp Thatcher"), 1982 Australian thriller. *snip*7 out of 10. #3) "The Return of Captain Nemo", 1978 American sci-fi adventure. US Navy divers find The Nautilius and wake Captain Nemo from suspended animation, ask his help in stopping evil genius Dr. Cunningham from taking over/destroying the world. Originally planned as the pilot for a TV series, but it sank on air. Jose Ferrer is good as Nemo but not what I'd call great... he is proper and stately and commanding when it's called for but looks out of place when he's in the middle of an action piece. Burgess Meredith is the evil Cunningham, and I'm pretty sure he didn't bother to read any of his lines, he just ad-libbed whatever he said. Bit of a mess. Show felt like several episodes of something cut together, with pieces missing. The show has The Natilius with a nuclear engine, an electrified force field, a 'concentrated light weapon' (aka. laser), and zappy ray guns, the villain has a nuclear sub manned by robots, a 'Delta Ray', a henchman in a metal mask with gun that can freeze people and psychic abilities, and it's all just there without any reason or explanation or logic tying it together, you are just supposed to accept it and move on Fun, though. Kind of. 6 out of 10.

67-Night of the Living Dead-Creepy Koffe Movie Time airing Amazon Prime
Seen this movie 100 times since first seeing it one Halloween night when I was a kid. If a horror host airs it I watch it to see how the host is. And Balrok and No Name are great. Imagine hanging out after a night at the bar, with a few friends. Yall are trashed and watching some crappy or not crappy older horror film. That is Creepy Koffee Movie Time.
Got dancers, the Cave Girls, got a house band The Deadlies. And most episodes got a comedian appearing plus life advice from Annie Cruz.

68-Meridian Kiss of the Beast-DVDr ripped from a VHS from a Showtime airings in the early 90s
Charles Band of Full Moon use to own a castle in Romania. He wanted to make a version of Beauty and the Beast aimed at adults. Got Sherlyn Fenn fresh from Twin Peaks.
When this aired in the early 90s on Showtime I was recording any horror that I could. Somehow that tape survived decades. Then when I got a set top DVD recorder in 2010 I started transferring all my tapes to DVDR.
Besides this version being titled just Kiss of the Beast there is no difference between this and the DVD releases. Just I held onto it cause it was a tape that got watched a pile of times.

69-Night Shift-Warner Snapper case DVD
This DVD might be older than some of the posters here. I am sure the film is.
Ron Howard directed thsi comedy. The Fonz is a morgue worker, and this morgue is way way too clean. Fake ass movie morgues.
His new co worker on night shift is Michael Keaton.
Toss in Shelly long as a hooker who just lost her pimp. And you get what is surprisingly still funny early 80s comedy.
Was surprised ot see Joe Spinnel as the owner of a NOT PLATO'S RETREAT like spa in NYC.

Terry O'Quinn of Lost fame gives a very chilling performance as a man who murders his family when they don't meet his standards. I haven't seen the sequels yet. I did find this very good.

99. Guardians (2017 Russian movie) - Watched this on DVD. For years, I had been curious about this film. I had heard a lot of negative feedback about this. Recently, I read that there was some appreciation for it in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. I found out that my local library carried it. I requested it and then picked it up. I also decided to watch it.
The main thing I will say is that this film has a lot of issues. I don't think the concept was all that bad. Yes, it does have a lot of clichés found in Marvel films. I even saw some similarities to this and "The Avengers," along with elements to other Marvel IPs like "Fantastic Four" and such. Hell, the bear guy is pretty much the Hulk. That one female character is Sue Storm (or Richards; aka Invisible Woman). I couldn't help but think that one character knocked off The Winter Soldier. Plus, I liked the big climactic battle, especially the bit with the bear guy firing a minigun. Also, the visual effects looked good, at least for the most part. The biggest problem this film had was that the story was not engaging. I could think of other problems, like the makeup job on the villain, who looked ridiculous. This film was shot on a $5.4 million budget, at least in American money. It was shot for 320 million in Russian currency. I don't know how high that is. I also didn't really feel engaged in some of the character backstories, as they are some that I have heard many times before.
In the end, it's not a good film at all, but I can't say that there weren't redeeming qualities, either.

100. The Fall Guy (2024) - Saw this in theaters. I had wanted to see this since seeing the trailer and planned to see it in theaters. Although I have heard that this didn't too well at the box office, this was still playing at one of my local theaters. Other theaters were a bit far for me to go to. Much to my surprise, I noticed that a decent amount of people were at the showing I attended. My guess it was because of the Juneteenth holiday.
Anyway, it's a bummer that this didn't too well. I had a good time with this one. It was funny. It definitely felt like a parody of sorts of action movies, especially when watching some scenes with the stunts. I am sure it had to do with the main character being a stuntman. No, I'm not familiar with the TV show of the same name, even though I have heard of it and it starred Lee Majors and Heather Thomas, but I do know it's about a couple of stunt people who go after bad guys. I thought Ryan Gosling was good in his role. He also had good chemistry with Emily Blunt. I also felt like many of the action scenes and stunts worked with how well they were shot, as well as kind of spoofing the genre, but not in the way that it's bashing it, but rather with some affection.
I am glad I got to experience this on the big screen.

2024 New Releases
#27 Inside Out 2
It turns out this is the first G rated new release I've seen this year and the first out-and-out 'kids' movie. A lot of time children's media is dismissed as not really mattering because it's "just for kids" but I think it’s massively important. Thankfully there are fewer hands more skilled at this than Pixar.
9 years is a long time to put between films but the kids who would’ve seen Inside Out when it originally came out would be in their teens now and I think this movie will still speak to them. It’ll speak to people of all ages, anybody that’s had to cope with anxiety or embarrassment. Which is pretty much everyone.
Everything that made the first movie great is present here. The characters are enjoyable, the mechanics of the mind are illustrated in stupidly clever ways and there’s plenty of laughs throughout the runtime. Personal highlight for me being when the emotions need to interact with characters from Riley’s past TV show and videogame memories.
VERDICT: Much like its predecessor, Inside Out 2 is a wonderfully creative and enjoyable movie with a relatable message that while universal is still important. Whether you have kids or you don’t, check it out.

81. Hostage for a Day (1994) 82. Down Periscope (1996) 83. Capricorn One (1978)This is another one of those movies that I've always been curious about, but never actually curious enough to sit down and watch it. But it showed up on YouTube and figured it was finally time for me to give it a go. For those not familiar, three astronauts are forced to fake a manned mission to Mars in an attempt to save the space program. But when it's decided things would work better if the astronauts don't survive the journey home, the astronauts escape and, with the help of a journalist, attempt to expose the hoax. Besides being the template for a thousand conspiracy theories, this movie is probably best known for starring a pre-"I killed my ex-wife" OJ Simpson as one of the astronauts. The movie is a little too long and gets dull at times, and it also has some logic gaps, but over-all it's an ok political conspiracy thriller.
