Ratings threads are never gonna beat the "the secret to fixing ratings is to do what I want it to do" allegations. That is everything in a nutshell. There is a lot of "we" don't like this when it really should be "I" don't like this. I keep saying I know best but no one listens! Gonna open a change.org to remove the Kingdom from TV

There is a lot of "we" don't like this when it really should be "I" don't like this. Isn't it obvious that it's just someone's opinion though? 'In my opinion the reason the ratings are falling is people don't like x'. So many people on this board give opinions on what other, larger groups of people are thinking or want. They could be wrestlers, executives, TV networks etc. A lot of the time, naturally, it will follow their own opinion. You could pull up any posters history and see examples of this. I don't get why this has become a fixation of ratings threads.

Dude needs to work a lot harder on his story telling. Yeah wrestling matches are cool but we need more than that. People sleep on the Saraya/Ruby/Cool Hanf/Zack Knight/Harley Cameron feud, best feud in all of wrestling, us Rammers know. I actually just saw their backstage brawl a minute ago I was in to it. So are cool hand and Magic not a team anymore?

I'm not going to single out posters but there are literally posts in this thread saying "we need..." Right but isn’t the implication “in my opinion” the show needs x, y and z? Then don't say "we" and act like you're speaking on behalf of all wrestling fans.

Nah, cause if you judge by the YouTube wrestling sphere, X, and squaredcircle there’s a lot of people out crying about what they want from AEW, and a lot of it sounds the same. This is what I speak of in general. While AEW gets a lot of hate currently, there’s a lot of constructive criticism. And even the constructive criticism tends to be met in bad faith by AEW loyalists 🤷 lol I give up. But ima be here seeing how AEW chugs along

Except it doesn’t for various reasons that feel too complex to go into outside of you don’t know who actually pays attention to the product and whose hearing it from here for one. The same way those places don’t speak to what WWE should do, the only difference being that it’s so embedded into a wrestling fan that WrestleMania could have zero matches announced and be a surprise card and people still would watch because it’s WrestleMania.

So no opinions, online, on wreddit, on Twitter, from podcasters, from wrestlers on yt are to be taken into consideration because we don’t know if they actually watch the product. And complex reasons. Got it 👍🏻

Got it 👍🏻 I mean, my wider point is that the fanbases of those places can come off as fickle and it’d be hard to listen to any of them because some are grifters, some want to complain without watching the stuff that would change things (something Britt Baker herself has said countless times in interviews about the women and how watching and supporting them would get them more TV time) and some flatly don’t pay attention to stuff that’s happened. You can only cater to those types only so much, especially if those people aren’t going to notice when you do actually try. It’s like when people say “AEW should tell more stories” when arguably, the issue is that they can tell too many without prioritizing some or the people that might want it are used to how WWE does things when that’s not what AEW should be aiming for.

Got it 👍🏻 A bunch of them straight up don’t. Or don’t pay attention enough for the complaints to warrant any weight. It’d be like me complaining about RAW storylines even though I haven’t watched in years. I might know the wrestlers and want some of them to be somewhere else doing anything else, but I made the conscious choice of “RAW isn’t my thing, and what people like there I don’t”.

But the attendance for this show was well over 4.000... Unfortuantely, AEW will be out of business by the end of this year. Sorry, just the facts. If you don't believe me, just ask WWEFan69SUKIT! on Twitter.
