I also could be considered a comic loyalist, and like I said I dug this film. However I don't think it's just 'loyalists' who would think making a character like Gwen who has nothing to do with a character like Black Cat into Black Cat a dumb idea.

Somebody just tell me how the Paintball Goblin comes across really quickly. That's the only part of Spidey 3 that I'm really having any sort of issue with. Came across convincingly. Didn't seem odd at all.

I have no problem with the movie people changing things around, as long as they get the gist of things right. I am not stupid enough to demand a shot-by-shot remake. But when the denouement of your story defeats the whole "Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" theme then I have issue...

Look at it this way: how many of those people saw Spidey without his mask and said "hey look, it's Peter Parker!"? None of them. New York's a big city, and unless you know the guy personally, seeing him unmasked isn't that big a deal. When those people got home, they probably would've said "Spidey saved the train I was on. He's a young dude." Not something like "Spidey saved the train I was on, AND HE'S PETER PARKER, QUICK GET SOME WEAPONS, WE'RE GONNA GO BEAT UP HIS AUNT MAY!" That's true. I just wouldn't expect any one of those people to not immediately run to the Bugle or the Post and say they know what Spidey's identity is. Seeing a guy's face briefly and knowing who he is are two different things.

Came across pretty awesome I felt. And I understand the arguement about Sandman being the guy that pulled the trigger destroying the whole ' great power, great responsibility thing'. But I don't necessarily agree with it. I personally would've they left it alone, but to my mind, Peter could still be haunted by the fact that had he not did the wrestling thing and hadn't lied to Ben about going to library, Ben would've never been out there waiting for him in the first place. So there wouldn't have been an opportunity for ANYONE to shoot him. Ergo it was Peter's own selfishness at that point and ignoring his responsibilites that put his uncle in harm's way, when he could've prevented every bit of it. And as guilt ridden as Pete is, I think he would feel responsible for every bit of that. Thus I think the power and responsiblity theme, while different in this scenario resonates just as strongly.
To me at least.

seen it..don't now what to say..
it had awesome effects ( maybe too many for my taste) it had tender makes you wanna cry moments
it had cheesy almost like stayin alive moments that I felt were unnecessary They combined like 3 storylines into one long movie
I liked it but was also kinda disappointed in it...I loved Topher as Eddie and Bruce as the waiter I also loved the trailers b4 the movie
this is just my opinion

Harry was legit badass in this film. I had no problems with the mask.

I really liked Harry in the movie. Franco is more thne just a pretty face. He did good with a poorly written part.

OK, I need your guys help. I've seen the movie once opening weekend. I keep seeing a scene in my head I dont know if was actually in the movie, or I just dreamed it up or what. Hopefully someone whos seen the movie can answer it for me.
In my scene, Dr Conners is in a lab, and injects where his arm is missing with some serum. The arm grows back, and for the moment, he's happy. All of a sudden, he starts getting stressed, and falls down behind a desk and screams. Thats the end of the scene.
Was that in Spidey 3 or am I imagining things?

Though that scene could very well show up in 4. Maybe I'm seeing the future ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I thought the Johnny Cash wannabe act sucked huge. Just way to over-the-top. I also thought the ending sucked. I know there's another one coming but still.

It is usually over-the-top.

The acting by Dunst and Toby both brought this movie down. They could have both actually looked like they cared.

I'm certainly not gonna try and change your opinion (that would just be pointless on my part). Alls I'm sayin' is Cash never danced like a goof. Hell, I don't think I've ever seen Cash dance, period.
