Actually they dropped the ball with everyone they inherited from WCW, except Booker.

Just for the record while the IWC generally has a hard on for Raven the rest of the WWE fans could careless about the guy. Besides by the time he had his second run in the WWE he was so beaten up he had nothing left. I doubt anyone in the WWE is crying any tears over how they handled Raven nor should they. He was pretty over in ECW and WCW

Oh and seeing as we'ree talking about Raven I'll also say they missed the boat with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts.
He could have been bigger than Hogan if they had gone in that direction.

Vader - Ok what happened here? How could they possibly mess this one up?? My theory on Vader has always been what RD said in Death of WCW -- when Hogan no sold his powerbomb, his career as a legitimate main eventer was effectively over.

Completely untrue. He was easily in the best shape of his career during that run. Near the end the guy almost had a six pack. Go find his first match with Punk, which was just when he left WWE. Or his first TNA appearances. He was in amazing shape.

But he wasn't given the chance for people to care about him. In ECW, he was their one of their top acts. In WCW, the only reason he didn't break into the main event was because there were too many guys there. Apparently, Roddy Piper wanted a feud with Raven, but it didn't happen because it would cut into the pay of the top guys who were there at the time. Raven was huge in WCW, and this was during WCW's hottest time.

Goldberg. They brought him in too late and didn't use him well when they did.

Raven was the Ric Flair of ECW....the heel-glue that made everything work. His feuds with the Sandman, Tommy bloody Dreamer over 2 years, beating up poor Stevie Richards (but he's ok!) ,etc.
Thats why when Terry Funk pinned him for the ECW belt, it worked.
But WCW first wasted Raven. He was a midcard heel success, but like Booker T, Benoit, Eddie G, Jericho, the glass ceiling kept them from the top card.
Hell, it was Raven why I became a then-mark for DDP. But whatever.

Way too many to count.
As for Christian, I have a firm belief that he will be back someday. He didn't really leave on bad terms. He left of his own free will.

About the only good thing to come out of his WWE run was his match with Rhyno at Backlash. He never even got to do any cool promos!

True, but Raven was big with WCW fans at house shows and tapings (I know, I saw it myself)....they still blew someone to heel-carry the company after the NWO angle was piledriven into the ground. As to an earlier comment that someone posted, WWE weren't going to let Christian Cage be world champ. If they really did, they wouldn't make him a bloody punchline, the Ass Creme guy to Golddusts' jokes.

One of the only good things about Raven in WWE, was his music. I loved that music.

Raven. Wow, I can't believe they screwed up with him. I thin Raven was the most under-utilized character in the wwe, I think bhis run made him look real weak in my eyes.

It just about made me violent when he changed his look entirely to try to be more Eish and the next thing you know he lost a loser gets fired match. He really tried to work with them and they gave him nothing.

they shouldve tried to go out and get Samoa Joe before Umaga if they wanted a Samoan Bulldozer. Joe would beat Umaga any day in my thoughts

On the show that had the 2MPT taking on the Brothers of Destruction as the main event (instead of the Hardyz ), the hardcore match between Raven and Rhino was easily the most impressive match IMHO. They did miss the boat with Raven. They missed it with Christian (who apparently LOVES the TNA schedule, so WWE would not have been able to resign him anyways). I don't know why they did not sign Daniels, but I suspect it might have been the reason that they could not sign Styles or Joe (i.e., signing with the WWE would initially be a pay cut). The one that they really missed the boat on was Vader. If it were not for HBK's refusal to job, Vader would have won the title at Summerslam and went on to have a run as a monster heel that all the faces would gun for. Instead, we got crap.

Actually, that Backlash main event was supposed to be 2MPT vs the Hardyz, but HHH, SCSA, and UT all got Vince to change it. Those two weeks where they were building the Hardyz up for that main event showed that the crowd was frothing at the mouth for them to get pushed into the main event.
Way to listen to the fans, Vince.
