I've come to the conclusion that Randy Orton is pretty much untouchable. They have actually just stopped bothering to punish him at this point. He gets caught on roids... they give him the title. Twice. He wasnt even off TV. He's Teflon.

It is bizarre that a guy who has been busted on many occasions for varied offences would be basically handed the spot of their top guy, carrying the company basically. It doesn't really set a good example and the other guys may think they can push management quite far and still get rewards.

I'll give this to Orton - at least he's being booked close to his real personality. If only they would book Batista as a heel (as it should be) maybe I'd be willing to suspend disbelief and mark out once in awhile.
Better yet...suspend Batista. He's obviously juicing. You can gain 20lbs of muscle just by standing next to him for a few minutes.

Batista acts like a dick to people backstage, gets into an embarrassing altercation with Booker T in which the entirety of the locker room backs up Bookuh Man . . . he gets punished with infinite title shots, cries for another every week, finally wins it, defends it once against Khali then claims Khali had his chance. HBK in the 90's . . . nuff said. To be fair, it's not Just Orton. I think it's safe to assume that if Creative wants you to be pushed, you have a free pass to drive a bus full of nitro glycerine and nuns through an orphanage. |

What message is that? Oh, right, roids. Cause you sold them to him? The man was out with injury for a long time and has now returned. Wrestlers typically train a lot while on the road and now that he's back he could have very easily put size on by getting back into his regular and day-to-day workout schedule that he didn't get to do while injured. It sounds like I'm talking in circles, but I'm just trying to make a point. I hate how people immediately go to the "Steroids" ideal. I can't wait to see what happens when Bobby Lashley comes back from a rotator cuff injury that most definitely hampers lifting weights. We'll see "Bobby must be off the roids" posts and as he gains back size we'll see "I guess Bobby found his roids" posts. Is it just me? Anyone? |

Jerks always get pushed. It's like an unwritten rule in wrestling. Like the unwritten rule that a wrestling promotion needs to have at least one Samoan on their roster. Or that wrestlers have a significantly higher tolerance for pain in hardcore matches compared to regular matches.

Orton is also friends with Triple H outside the ring, as well as Batista. Batista is a legitimate douche, but Orton's actually not too bad of a guy. I've met him outside of the ring and any promos, he's pretty cool.
And I disagree, Orton has talent, he's pretty agile and can jump. He can saddled with a lot of bad moves, including those dumb chin locks. Also, Johnny Ace is a complete moron and can't book crap.
