I was pretty sure all those "incidents" were confirmed. As far as proof, well the suspensions not even a week after those "omg fake newz" stories were posted couldn't just be coincidence. I'm not saying you should hate Orton. Feel free to boo or cheer him all you want. The fact is though, he has gotten in hot water, and has managed to be pushed to the moon(usually very shortly after said supensions) while others with lesser offenses have been punished or let go. Just because he is over as a heel doesn't mean suddenly he's immune. RVD was hella over with the fans, then he screws up and had both titles taken away and depushed like a mofo. It's hypocrisy. That's it. I think the people who accuse WWE of hypocrisy can be quite hypocritical in regards to Orton as well. Yes, he's shown up on these signature lists. But so have Rey, Edge, Kennedy..etc. No one's demanded they be depushed, and I'm sure people still hope Kennedy will be revealed as Vince's illegitimate son. And people can't wait for Edge to win the title upon his return. His bad behaviour? Austin, JBL, HBK have all done worse. But since they're favourites no one ever says anything (granted HBK has redeemed himself so he might not count). I have this funny feeling the same people criticising Orton for being a jerk to women, are the same one cheering the hell out of Austin when he shows up. More apathetic about Austin than anything else. And if it helps when he said screw it and didn't want to job to Hall, I thought he should have gotten something more stern than hugs when he came back. If someone has drug issues or attitude problems, I want them to get healthy or mentally straight so they can wrestle again. I also think they should get punished or depushed. As far as Kennedy, sure he's been teased as McMahon's son, but he's lost a LOT of matches on RAW since he's been there. The others, yadda yadda. There's always favorites to Vince who won't get the full wrath. Also it's only hypocritical if you like someone for one thing and hate someone for the same thing. I like Edge because he's entertaining and is a fun wrestler to watch in my eyes. I dislike Orton because he bores me. The fact both have drug issues doesn't factor into my like or dislike for them, though I hope both settle those issues and can be healthy. Because while I may not like Orton the wrestler, and POSSIBLY the person, I sure as hell won't let that cloud my judgement to want to see him addicted or dead.

Edge already owned up to being on that list, when it FIRST came out many many MANY months ago. That's why we're not mad at him. Also he doesn't have a history of being a douchebag save for his infidelity, the last case of which was 2 years ago. And if he and Matt can patch things up, then who are we to keep bitching about it? Another example of somebody confessing is Gregory Helms, who explained why he showed up on that list. Remember that first list revealed he had used steriods prior to the wellness policy. In his blog to defend that (pre Feburay 2006) steroid use he claimed he was "as clean as a whistle' since the drug policy was started. It them emerged in August he'd been using steriods till at least Febuary 2007. Same with Helms (explained his pre Febuary 2006 useage, claimed he was now clean. He wasnt) He didn't pay at all. You know, meanie could have sued. Also, the back thing wasn't anything to do with WWE. Wife beating is okay if you're entertaining?

Wife beating is okay if you're entertaining? Wow when the hell did I say I supported that or even excused it? I guess I should've covered that. Frankly I don't find that supportable in the least and thus it's why I don't mark for Austin all that much when he shows up. I'm so sorry I couldn't get to all your talking points. And since Austin pretty much confessed to it, at least it's not like he tried to cover it up. And I was under the impression the lists were one and the same, looks like I was wrong, but again, see my previous comments. I don't think anybody on that list deserves to be near a title for a while, even after serving suspension.

Did Austin ever tell his side of the story? I think it's a valid point, Debra might not be the most trustworthy person in the world, since I saw her on (I believe) Hannity and Colmes saying Austin did steroids all the time (Maybe he did, I dont know) and she was asking Hugh Morrus "HOW WOULD YOU LIKE A 500 POUND MAN BEATING ON YOU EVREY NIGHT!?" Ah...huh. So, sure, he might've abused her (which is wrong, don't get me wrong) but who's to say she's 100% trustworthy/innocent? He had a chance in his book to set the record straight, all he said was 'there was an incident' and 'he regretted it'. No defense or anything, Also, considering he plead no contest in court for assaulting her, I have to think it was the truth. If it had been in self defense, he surely would have said something (although even in self defense I don't get how she ended up with bruises in her face and back, all her had to do was restrain her) Ah, well I wasn't sure, didn't know the specifics of her injuries or if he ever said anything about it or not. Didn't read his book because I just had a feeling it wouldn't be very interesting.

It is bizarre that a guy who has been busted on many occasions for varied offences would be basically handed the spot of their top guy, carrying the company basically. It doesn't really set a good example and the other guys may think they can push management quite far and still get rewards. Shawn Michaels in the mid-90's anybody?
