I think either another try at a face run (based off the msg pops) on smackdown or a heel ecw run would suit carlito. I like that idea, but ECW is loaded to the brim with heels right now. Now, if his face run on Smackdown let him wrestle on ECW now and then, then I'm for that one.

Carlito is said to be unhappy with how things are going for him nowadays in WWE. The feeling backstage is that he doesn't have the attitude it takes to get a major push. The belief is that he isn’t giving 100% in his matches. pwinsider Said to be... the feeling is... the belief is... Incisive, cutting journalism there. Investigative work at its finest and most authoritative.

Flair's promo against him years ago......shouldve lit that proverbial fire under his ass and realized that it wasnt fully scripted. Flair, shot from his heart that day and I for one, see what Flair sees. A spoiled second generation that thinks hes World Title material. He's not, He COULD become it but not in his current state of mind. He was basically given the US/IC titles but (for MOST cases) you have to earn a Main Event feud. You have to TRY to get over, you have to TRY to STAY OVER and you have to basically give a damn. I really dont think I've ever seen Carlito with "fire" in his eyes...He's not bad in the ring and he could become somebody but that day isnt tomorrow.

Granted he's been buried deeper than the earth's core, but I never saw what was so great about him anyways. Sure he's charismatic, but his wrestling is mediocre at best and he never improved.
If he wants to leave (as the rumor says) then let him. Let him go back to Puerto Rico and hold his dad's world title for 25 years.
This is, of course, my own opinion.

He just has that look on his face like he'd rather be someplace else. I can't get behind that.
If you look like you don't give a damn, why should I?

Maybe he's displaying that behavior backstage as well. Just a guess on my part. He's ok, not the greatest or that interesting nowadays. I liked him the most when he was on Smackdown trying to get petitions to have Teddy Long fired.

I've never understood Carlito's appeal. Where is it, exactly?

I've never understood Carlito's appeal. Where is it, exactly? Well, he does have that SLOOOOW springboard move that he does.

I saw him wrestle when he was in OVW. I swear to God I thought he was moving in slow motion. I'm glad I wasn't the only person who thinks this.

You should see his WWC stuff. It's obvious he was pushed in the biz by his father. He's just so boring. His best stuff was with Maria and the Cena angle on Smackdown.

Judging by how some people go out and "defend" him, it definetly looks like that. El Cernex I am just giving you a hard time. I disagree with you, but respectfully. I think Carlito seems like he's not trying because 3-4 minute matches are beneath his skill level. He probably needs to feel challenged. And I think outright firing him would be stupid. Big Show and Mark Henry both got sent to developmental to be reinspired. Why would he not deserve that chance, especially given his potential? Exactly. Really, Carlito is scary good, but the WWE Style is so beneath him that he doesn't feel challenged. And that combined with continually jobbing and participating in crappy storylines wouldn't sit too well with me, either. Look, there is no worse feeling in the world than not getting what you deserve, regardless of what you do for a living. And WWE's policy isn't set up for midcarders to get over; it's set up to maintain the status quo and make sure that Cena and Trips don't lose any momentum, to be damned at the expense of everyone else.

Adding a springboard elbow won't make a main eventer out of you. The name of that move is called "The Cure", as per Sick Boy in WCW.

maybe he's feeling this way because he's jobbing like crazy as of late....let the man win some matches for a change...i mean come on a guy that went from holding the IC and US title to jobbing every week, i would be complaining to if i was him about getting a major push

Exactly. Really, Carlito is scary good, but the WWE Style is so beneath him that he doesn't feel challenged. And that combined with continually jobbing and participating in crappy storylines wouldn't sit too well with me, either. Any halfway talented wrestler can do just fine with the so-called "WWE Style. It's just wrestling with no piledrivers and shooting star presses.
