If I had to eat Apples every show for two and a half years I'd be pretty miserable too. Let him spit out Skittles or a Wendy's burger every now and then the poor guy hates apples already!

Everytime there's a thread about Carlito being unhappy I always see posts like, "Oh Carlito is happy, waaah waaah" or "Carlito is living the dream, how dare he be unhappy" etc etc. I hate this. It's BS. I don't care what your job is, you get unhappy from time to time. Travelling all the time becomes exhausting and depressing and if you see other guys flourish and you're stuck behind everyone it'll get to you. I know, I know, "he should try more", but let's face it, creative have nothing for anyone except the top guys.
I don't care how much money you're being paid, if you're unhappy, you're unhappy. Many, many musicians give it up early due to extensive touring and constant recording and promotion and such. The same applies here.

When he went to Smackdown, he won the US Title. When he first went to RAW, he won the IC Title. He was the only guy who beat John Cena twice, along with having high-profile fueds with Randy Orton. That said, it is his fault he is in his position and no one else. He, like Shelton, got pushes and did nothing to keep their spot. Shit, I remember when everyone WANTED for Carlito be face, even when it was obvious that Chris Masters was originally planned to be face. Creative has nothing for top guys you say? I give you Mr Kennedy, Bobby Lashley, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, MVP, CM Punk, Big Daddy V, Snitsky, etc... All because guys like Shelton Benjamin and Carlito, both whom have no grasp of in-ring psychology and are only loved here because of their supposed athleticism, are not getting pushed doesn't mean the WWE only cares about the top guys.

Carlito should go somewhere where he'll be appreciated for his accolades. Somewhere where he'll get the respect he deserves. Somewhere where he can't really lose. That somewhere is simple. TNA's Main Event scene.

In my eyes the real problem is how quickly people rise in the ranks, and perhaps why we need the EU title back.
It should be about slow progress over a decade not two years. He's already had his chance with the US belt, which in my opinion was far to soon to.
Look at Lesnar, within a year he was the WWE Champion...wheres there to go from there?

Look at Matt and Jeff Hardy. They work hard every week and where has it gotten them. Maybe Carlito just sees the writing on the wall and isn't afraid to voice his opinions. Uh, I would say that it's gotten Matt and Jeff fairly far. Matt's in the best feud on Smackdown for the US title, and Jeff was an option for a main-event slot on Cyber Sunday. They get a PPV payday almost every time. I'd even go so far as to say that both of them are probably going to main event sooner rather than later.

As I've said many times before, the majority of posters here probably haven't experienced the "real world" yet, which is why their opinions tend to be simplistic and cliche with these types of situations. If a wrestler wants to be paid well, he's branded as selfish. If a wrestler wants to hold his spot for as long as possible, he's a prick. If a wrestler loses all the time and/or is unhappy with his career, he's ungrateful. In other words, wrestlers are robots, and aren't allowed to have the same mindset that normal people do when in a work environment. Welcome to Wrestlecrap logic.

Carlito in TNA would have clean wins over Samoa Joe and would feud with Kurt Angle for a year for the title.

From 411mania:
"- Carlito lost twice during WWE's shows in Puerto Rico (where he is a major star) over the weekend and WWE.com has now put all of his merchandise on clearance."
Sad to say, but it looks like Carlito may be on his way out. His stock has dropped dramatically since he faced HHH at Unforgiven, jobbing twice to DH Smith and getting beaten up by Snitsky last week. Supposedly, he's been a big backstage problem as well, and has a lot of heat on him.

It goes back to what he said before Wrestlemania. He complained to the media about being left off the card and that he was forgotten. Ever since then, WWE made it a point not to push him. Now it's finally coming to a head.

Well, looks like Carlito is on his way out. source: PWInsider.com
-- WWE has put nearly all of Carlito's merchandise available on WWEShop.com on clearance. They rarely do this to nearly all of a wrestler's merchandise unless he is no longer affiliated with the company.
-- Carlito made two special appearances on the Smackdown/ECW tour in Puerto Rico because that is his home country and obviously the market where he means the most. Carlito jobbed to Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio on two shows on the tour. Fans where shocked by the result of his match with Matt Hardy considering that San Juan is his hometown. He was also on the losing end of a six-man tag match on Friday, but did not take the pinfall.
-- As noted last week, Carlito is said to be unhappy with the direction WWE has been pushing him in as of late. It it is being said that requested to be released from the company last week. WWE has not granted him a release yet but may do so this week.

They're shocked he lost? WWE ALWAYS makes people lose in their hometowns. No idea why. Besides, Carlito is/was a heel with tons of heat in Puerto Rico. Having him win wouldn't please the crowd.

I know the guy isn't real popular on these forums but I still say he has plenty of talent and I'll be sorry to see him go.
