Early '91, Sarge was WWF Champion, Mr. Perfect was IC Champion, and the Hart Foundation were the Tag Champions. Good times as a kid ... My family told me that I watched some shows before this time, but I guess I was too young to remember it.

I'm surprised to see so many people who were around for wrestling in the late 80s. World Champ: Savage IC Champ: Honky Tag Champs: I wanna say Demolition, not sure though. It appears that me and several others were around for wrestling in the late 70s. Up until the early 1980s witht he advent of cable, I only watched the NWA so I remember Harley Race being the champ.

Here's the first person I remember holding each belt...
World Heavyweight: Hogan I-C: Tito Santana Tag: Windam and Rotundo Womens: Lelani Kai
may not have held them at the same time, but we only got superstars and very rarely got to see champs wrestle....

Nice thread. I started in late 85/early 86 so...

I believe I became an official fan of WWF around Summerslam 1993. Things were so much simpler then:
WWF Champion: Yokozuna WWF Intercontinental Champion: Shawn Michaels WWF Tag Team Champions: The Steiner Brothers
Like the OP, I didn't really follow WCW at the time, so I have no idea about their champions.

Hogan was the world champion is all I remember when I first started watching wrestler as a tot in the very late 80's, early 90's. Started watching the WWF in July 1991. Hogan was the world champ, Perfect the IC champ and the Nasty boys were tag champs.
