So show me where midgets were integral parts of the last big boom of wrestling we saw.... And no the midget Hardys or Dudleys or Booker don't count they made 1 appearance and were then gone....now we are getting this crap every week and he's the focal character not used to make fun of another person to set an angle. Not the Attitude Era, but if you go back in time, you'll see plenty of midget wrestlers. And nobody dislikes a "kid-friendly"WWE more than me, because it means more endless Cena title reigns. I don't like Cena but I wanna punt the midget, I generally don't say to many bad things about wrestlers or wish them to lose their jobs but the midget is one that I hope goes away and never comes back. Or goes back to coming out from under the ring during a match and getting roughly 2 minutes, that was fine, now it's annoying. And like I said does the WWE even know what they want to be? Adults are not going to find the looney toons midget humor all that funny, while parents are probably offended at Jillian rubbing a chicks face in her tits or Mickie making out with one before doing a finisher.. You can't appease both groups...make up your mind.

It's over with most of the fans, so it has its right to stay.
I still find it overly silly, even for wrestling standards. And I don't find midgets amusing. But that's just me.
If you don't like it, change the channel/fast forward the segment.

I'm not a fan at all of Hornswaghgle, but, he's on screen for, what, dive minutes a week? If that offends people that much, you need to seek professional help! How about instead of giving 5-10 minutes to a character with no future and no upside because a midget can not be a money drawing wrestler... We give those minutes to London and Kendrick? Wouldn't that be a bit more productive? Personally it blows my mind that Hornswaggle gets more TV time than London and Kendrick, how can anyone even fathom that.

Unfortunately, Hornswoggle gets better crowd reactions than Londrick, at least for now. People will get bored eventually with him like all of the WWE's once popular comedy gimmicks (Eugene comes to mind) but they're not gonna drop something that still gets crowd reactions.

London & Kendrick were Tag Champs on SmackDown for a whole year, had probably the "best" push (for being a tag team) in years, but they still fail to get a consistent reaction from the crowd. Hornswaggle has a better future than Londrick. Sad? maybe. But that's how pro-wrestling works.

Here's what I'll say though, for some reason there are moronic WWE fans that only watch Raw or only watch Smackdown and act like the other show sucks. Generally it's that "Smackdown sucks". Hell Batista appears on Raw mentions Smackdown and the crowd boos then he makes the face like "hey f*** you that's my show". Sadly they'd probably have to almost completely repush Londrick again thanks to these dumb fans that think they have to "pick a brand" not realizing hey it's the same company fools. And I just used them as an example, any wrestler with any sort of future give him the 5-10 minutes a week. He may be able to develop into a money drawing wrestler, something Hornswaggle will never be. No one will ever buy tickets or PPV's to see him.

I mentioned this in the wrestlecrap section. It appears clear that the reason for Hornswaggle to be Vince's son is to push Finally. He has appeared more on TV, got more mic time, and now looks to be building something with Vince. While I am not a huge fan of the Looney Tune stuff. I thought the segment on Raw was funny and I am old. Just my opinion

No..but the Hornswaggle stuff was obviously aimed at kids, but it as more of a sarcastic joke to you not a serious question. Hey if you like it, that's fine......personally I thought the ridiculous Katie Vick "I screwed your brains out segment" was funnier than Hornswaggle.

And hey I liked that segment with katie vick aswell. I laughed harder for that then last weeks hornswoggle segment with carlito. I thought it was well played with Triple H and the coffin.

Has Hornswoggle actually increased Raw ratings Actually when he was revealed as the son the rating dropped off and didn't really come back after.....I believe they had a 4 that night dropped to 3.1 the next and have steadily been in the low 3's since.. That payoff to that angle really pissed people off apparently.

Because he's over and marketable.
Sure he's never going to be The Rock or even a Hardy Boy, but there's a lot of hornswoggle signs and he always gets a loud pop.

He's not really comparable to a "regular" wrestler who gets pops though, he's more like a comedy gimmick that gets pops. Although comedy gimmicks can be hugely popular for a while, they often have a relatively short shelf life (Rikishi and Eugene were hugely over as "comedy" faces).

For the upmteenth zillionth time, The reason Hornswaggle is getting pushed is because he is supposed to appeal to little kids. The WWE is trying to shake off a reputation in the mass media as a company that forces its employees to take drugs that cause those employees to either die prematurely or turn into crazy murderers. The company needs to win back as much support as possible and improve its image, so it is trying to appeal to families and kids, and the Looney Tunes-style antics of Hornswaggle fits the bill. If you don't like the character, turn off your TV when he's on. If enough people turn off their TVs while the guy is onscreen, the company will take the ratings issue as a hint. Sorry, I know it seems obnoxious to start a new post for this, but the same question keeps coming up so many times that it's frankly kind of ridiculous. I'll understand if the mods prefer to lock this, but I almost think this thread, or something similar, should be stickied. Why should I have to turn off my TV? How about these corporations like the WWE start ENTERTAINING loyal fans? What's actually ridiculous is just accepting what they hand us and not speaking on it. 15 threads on a subject isn't the answer, but people speak on this because we shouldn't have to just give in to what someone believes is entertainment. If it sucks and we are their ratings, they need to change it.

The reason Hornswaggle is getting pushed is because he is supposed to appeal to little kids. Then why, when asked, the McMahons always refute that they're core audience is kids. Guess they want to have their cake and eat it too. They really are in their own little universe.

Yes I think Hornswoggle is there for lighthearted laughs, but I don't think he's supposed to be a kiddie character. Don't forget he is the guy who stripped Melina naked -- twice. I'd say he is aimed at the horny teenage and Mick Foley demographic based on that.
