I remember hearing the story about Shawn showing up wasted but didn't realise it was the show where Vince announced he had bought WCW. I had no idea he was involved with the company in 2001. Last we saw him on TV was when he handed the commissioner reigns over to Foley in mid-2000, then he vanished and returned in 2002 with the nWo. He was still showing up at TV tapings and events in '01? Huh. He was originally supposed to return in '01, but he showed up the tapings "in no condition to perform". I remember hearing about this back then.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't talk about his WM21 match with Kurt Angle. I know, I know: if he is with another competiting company, he doesn't exist. But in his book, Michaels pretty much called it the best match ever, and ended the story of his LIFE on it. Maybe in some deleted scenes somewhere??? I dunno. They mention Kurt Angle (in a positive light) on this month's Legends of Wrestling on WWE 24/7. So I wouldn't go as far as to say they always disavow any knowledge of former talent's existence, if only ever to mention them unfavorably. Who knows why it wasn't mentioned on the DVD? I picked this set up in Best Buy today. I had a coupon for ten bucks off thanks to my reward zone membership, so I got it for a STEAL - the low, low price of ten dollars and change (after taxes). So I figured why not? I already have most of the other WWE produced interview/tribute discs. Might as well have this one too. But I swear, if this set isn't as good as you all say it is, then it's eye-lasers for everyone!! First YOU...then one day, your heirs!!!KNEEL!!

In HBK's book, he brought up the rumors that he refused to job to Austin at WM and flat out denied them. He chalked it up to the internet (IRC) and people adding onto his reputation. Yeah, but didn't Taker say it did happen when questioned about it on the Off The Record show? I'd probably take his word over Shawn's. Actually, on off the record, Taker didn't really say it did or didn't happen. His words were, "Shawn Michaels wouldn't of done business, then it would have been a long night for shawn michaels." or something very close to that. You could probably still find that interview on youtube somewhere.

good dvd.. What amazed me is how much Vince let Shawn get away with and how Shawn could bitch at vince about anything and vince let him. I mean I could see Vince allowing Hogan to do that since Hogan was the man but Shawn? Maybe their homosexual relationship rumor is true.

I'm gonna buy this DVD eventually, if only because HBK was one of the best performer's of the last 20 years. I still think he's totally full of shit, reborn or not.....So I'd like to see what he has to say. He's already changed his tune about losing to Austin at WM, we'll see if anything else doesn't jive with documented events.

It's a great DVD set to buy....very informative I liked how they talk about Shaen being all drugged up arounf Wrestlemania 14...then they show a clip of the DX public workout and you see a battery that someone from the crowd threw at Michaels actually hit him in the face as he's talking ad HBK just turns away and walks out of the ring and leaves the arena only to return later and beatup Stone Cold...
there's also some good DX HBK clips and theres the bad like him in a robe sticking his hand down in the robe by his crotch then take his hand and rub a fans face with that same hand...they also mention about how Shanw was fined $15,000 dollars for stuffing cottonballs in his tight spandex biker lookin shorts and goin out on national tv...like I said a nice DVD would make a nice Christmas present

Amazing DVD.
I haven't seen every WWE documentary, but without question out of the ones I've seen this was the best. A real honest representation of what happened in Shawn's career in the ring and behind the scenes without really blatantly taking shots at other people other then maybe Hogan.
By the way, can anyone figure out anything Marty Jannetty says?

Wasnt it amazing though with just how much f***ing crap Shawn got away with as an employee? The guy was always drugged out of his mind, talking back to the boss. How many other employers would put up with that.. All of this and the guys is still a millionaire. I guess the lord does wonders for some people:)

Shawn will have a great legacy because he never went on the outs with Vince. However, if he would've jumped to WCW, they would've buried him.

The new HBK dvd ends in the oddest way possible. The second the documentary is over, they fade to black of course, then fade to "WWE Would like to thank Pro Wrestling Illustrated" and they focus on that for a solid 10 seconds before finally shutting off.
WWE is acknowledging and even THANKING the dirt sheets now in such obvious and grand fashion? I think maybe because of how PWI lists have ALWAYS put Shawn over?
It's a trip!
