that was awesome. my only complaint is during the montreal segment, there was no bret intertwind from his DVD that just had him say something like "That was complete Bullcrap, or something". idk i just thought that would had been funny, if during their explanation, he just would had been like "smurf these guys" anyhow. GREAT DVD. it was awesome seeing them talk about early rockers crap. almost sold me on the DVD. all the klique stuff was great. and i had a feeling how this dvd was gonna go anyway, so it wasn't too shocking to me. DEFINATE BUY, but i still say the AWA dvd is the best they put out, bar non. I liked the AWA DVD a lot, really good stuff there. As for those who say that HBK and Bret should bury the hatchet, they don't really have to. I mean, it's not like either of them have to see the other or work with the other ever again. Not surprised that Hogan and Bret got buried on the DVD there as those are 2 of Shawn's biggest enemies.

Just watched the whole thing. A great DVD but 2 things stuck out for me: 1. Man they just buried Bret for no apparant reason 2. I wish they could have elaborated more on his 2002-2003 run. Hogan also got some heat for refusing to job. I bet if Vince and Hogan were still working together, that wouldn't have happened. Gotta love WWE's policy of burying people that don't work for them. That pretty much is why they bury Bret the way they do. As soon as he got the HOF induction and the DVD out of him, it was business as usuall

The ending made me feel sick, it made out Michaels himself was god.

The ending made me feel sick, it made out Michaels himself was god. Isn't he though? Isn't he? If I had to have a favorite major name in the business, it isn't Hogan, Warrior wasn't around long enough for me to really love (though I like him alot) and it sure as hell isn't Hart it would be HBK

Yeah, I have read Shawn's book and watched this documentary on his new dvd. My opinion of the man hasn't changed much. I felt like they were really putting Bret Hart down, and saying he was totally at fault for the screwjob IMO. I don't like what HHH had to say about him at all either. His issues with drugs were very depressing, especially at the beginning where he was contemplating suicide after he was fired by Vince the first time. Two things were clearly evident to me after watching this entire documentary:
1. Shawn Michaels is/was a complete asshole behind the scenes, has/had a huge ego problem, and probably does a lot of the more charitable stuff he does now out of guilt from his past.
2. Shawn Michaels has been for a long time, and still is, my 2nd favorite wrestler of all time.

I know Nash has said that in hindsight with a more mature perspective, he would of treated a number of people better if he could. Though, Shawn's always had a soft spot in some respect. For example, his standing up to the security to back off of a mentally challenged fan who had hopped the barricade.

This actually sounds terribly interesting. Now I have the In The Vault HBK DVD, does the new DVD have a lot of the same matches?

I'm gonna try to pick this one up tomorrow. I'm really interested in his rocker years and what all he and others have to say about the msg incident.

I do not have the from the vault dvd but on the box of the new dvd it says 10 of the matches are on dvd for the first time. There are 14 matches on the dvd on top of the 2 hr documentary. So more than most of the matches on the dvd are new to dvd. It has the entire 1995 Royal Rumble on it. That is almost worth it for me alone. Now I have a dvd with Mantaur, Duke the Dumpster Droce and probably a few other wrestlecrap luminaries I am forgeting thanks to inclusion of the 1995 Royal rumble.

I wasn't even looking forward to watching this one that much. I have seen all the documentaries that WWE has put out so far and I believe this one to be the most honest.
Couple of things I want to highlight that stood out for me were.
1. The Screwjob. Vince taking all the blame for it when all three were in on it from the start was very decent thing for him to do. Also the fact that HHH said he was the first to mention screwing Bret to Vince shocked me quite a bit.
2. I didn't like that WMXX and WM21 were completely missed out. But that unfortunately can't be helped.
3. Seeing Marty how he is today really made me sad. Couldn't understand most of what he was saying.
This DVD is a definite must buy. It just reminded me of the kind of Legend Shawn Michaels really is. I had forgotten so much of what he had done in his career.

WM21 is actually one of the Deleted Scenes.
Too bad there wasn't a WMXX Deleted Scene. Although, maybe there was. A Super Secret Hidden Easter Egg of sorts. Who knows.
Seeing Sherri on the DVD made me smile. I completely wasn't expecting that.

The funny thing is, as much as I dislike Michaels and feel he's been vastly overrated in the eyes of many, HE didn't really bury Bret. Others sure picked up the slack though.
This documentary also reminded me how much I despise Gerald Brisco. The man must have a permanent brown spot on his nose from being up Vince's ass all day. I'm not surprised he'd get in on the bashing. I wonder if he'll ever talk about how him and his brother conspired with Jim Barnett and Vince to buy Georgia Championship Wrestling out from Ole Anderson when Ole had to go take care of family matters at home?
Scumbag.

yeah I don't buy this "Shawn buried bret" here. Everyone just stated their opinion like "I don't see why he didn't want to lose in Canada" or "I don't know why he didn't want to drop the title" and "Bret was being unprofessional" when he destroyed the survivor series set and punched out Vince McMahon. As much as it was justified and understandible, it was unprofessional. After all, it is just wrestling, not a real competitive sport.
The only one who seemed to have an axe to Grind was HHH.

I've only seen about 4-5 wrestling DVDS with documentary...
The HBK DVD(IMO THE BEST!) McMahon(2nd best, i liked this a lot) Benoit(it was pretty good) Monday Night Wars(I liked it)
and why are you guys saying he burried bret just because they MENTIONED the screwjob, and the only one who had bad things to say about bret was HHH, and saying how WWE wont let it go because they talked about it on the HBK DVD(one of the biggest parts in his careers, no angle, benoit, or lesnar so you cant just skip over it like that) Bret Hart DVD(THE BIGGEST PART OF HIS CAREER, HOW CAN YOU SAY THEY SHOULDNT HAVE A MENTION OF THE SCREW JOB IN A DVD ABOUT BRET FRIGGIN HART?!) and the monday night war(which was a big part, about as big as the mankind spoiler, it changed a loto f things with a new star in wcw, the creation of mcmahon and mcmahon being an evil guy)
seriously folks. HBK comes out as the bigger man where Bret wants everyone to feel sorry for him because he didnt get the title, when there are about 1000 wrestlers i could feel more sorry about then bret hart not getting his title that hes won multiple times before....
