The funny thing is, as much as I dislike Michaels and feel he's been vastly overrated in the eyes of many, HE didn't really bury Bret. Others sure picked up the slack though. This documentary also reminded me how much I despise Gerald Brisco. The man must have a permanent brown spot on his nose from being up Vince's ass all day. I'm not surprised he'd get in on the bashing. I wonder if he'll ever talk about how him and his brother conspired with Jim Barnett and Vince to buy Georgia Championship Wrestling out from Ole Anderson when Ole had to go take care of family matters at home? Scumbag. So then Mr. Mackman turned all the water in Madison Square Garden to wine, and blessed all the little chidren of the world, and made doves cover the skies as far as the eye could see. That's when I knew that this is what it sounds like when doves cry, of happiness, like the sound of Mr. Mackman's laughter.

Finally got a chance to watch the documentary and I thought it was excellent. For the most part, it's a pretty honest look at Shawn and covers almost everything. Some cool footage I never saw before, like more from the MSG curtain call and Michaels storming out of the post-WM press conference after losing to Michaels.
Having now watched the Bret Hart segment, I really don't think they ripped him that badly. It's definitely one-sided. There's no question there. But they really don't rip on Bret too much and now that I've seen it, I think a lot of people overreacted to this segment.
No surprise that the WMXX match with Benoit isn't mentioned. Disappointed that the Kurt Angle feud was annoyed but that's just politics. Of course, there is some selective history. It was only one guy who beat up Michaels at that bar. Also, they still are claiming that his match with HHH is the first time Michaels wrestled in almost five years. They all completely ignore the fact that Michaels did actually wrestle one match for his Texas wrestling promotion in 2000. I'm not sure how well known this is but I remember it being pretty big at the time.
Shawn has all the mannerisms of an old queen on the DVD. He sounds just like Harvey Fierstein. Although at least you could understand what he was saying. Jannetty has become almost incomprehensible.
