Triple H has came out of retirement twice. Together, it's best to take the words "Triple H" and "Last ever" with a huge pinch of salt. And you never know, maybe the Saudi King wants to see these two go at it next year. Triple H is such an NWA mark that after spending 5 years pretending to be Ric Flair he's now pretending to be Terry Funk. He's gonna replace his sledgehammer with a branding iron.
"Because I am THE GAME, you egg sucking dog!"

It would be a lot easier if Chief Madison stopped calling me a loose cannon and taking my badge away every week. Forget about the badge! When do we get the freakin GUNS!?!

If I'm not mistaken, Dixie at least paid her people. It might not have been on time, but she paid them. Paul still owes people money. I think his closeness with Vince McMahon is why people tend to forgive Paul Heyman.

I think it is presumptuous to assume that HHH and Vince are mad. I am confident that HHH absolutely does not care. Vince runs around at 100 mph and probably thought bout it for like 2 seconds before getting on with his work day. It just seems since they bought wcw and wcw they feel there should be no valid organizations beyond theres. What do you mean it "seems like"? Vince has been doing this ever since he bought the damn company (the WWWF)! It just seems since they bought wcw and wcw they feel there should be no valid organizations beyond theres. It seems like WWE can't win. When they weren't signing a lot of indie wrestlers, there were a bunch of people screaming that WWE only cares about creating Randy Orton clones and can't recognize all the real talent that was out there that they should have been signing. I know it's not necessarily the same people now complaining that WWE is trying to monopolize wrestling but it seems like a group of people will be be pissed at WWE no matter what they do. Uhh...yeah. You can't please everyone, dude.

I imagine it has something to do with jerking off. Srems to me if you are doing as the term suggests, your technique is all wrong. Not necessarily.

...hard to shit on stuff I'm very definitely not the target audience for. Go to the WWE thread and you'll see that's not true. LOL!

The Corporation, past the Steve Austin feud (Attitude Era version). Over pushed heels who rarely got their comeuppance and when they did, you didn't care.

No, rented a couple of VCRs, but no gaming systems. The same.
I never saw a place where you could rent a game system, but plenty of VCR rental spots.

I'm amazed, with this being a wrestling centered board, that nobody has posted the best part of this particular season yet.... Oh yeah!Piper no sold that basketball like a pro.

Remember prog rock critics of punk rock in the 70s. They were like "they're only playing three chords!" And punk fans were like "Yeah!"

Not sure if he's underrated, but Mr. Perfect was gold back in the day. His commentary on the Jake Roberts-Jerry Lawler match at Summerslam had me drinking and I don't drink.

This thread is making me think WWE missed the boat with having Backlund do more in the early 2000s. Now, they’re rightfully gun shy about having older wrestlers work after what happened with Jerry Lawler and to a lesser extent Sting. But as mentioned Backlund still looks to be in good health and takes care of himself. In the 2000s all Backlund did in WWE was a Rumble appearance in 2000 and a battle royal in 2007. He was also Kurt Angle’s manager for a brief spell and might have had some other random appearances. I could have seen him being a good WTF competitor for the hardcore title around the early 2000s every now and again (not a full-time schedule). Other than that he could have also had a brief match with Kurt Angle to get his revenge for Kurt turning on him. Kurt would obviously win, but both guys are good enough workers to make that bout believable even with Bob’s age at the time. Other than that he could have had a brief run or two in one of those odd couple tag teams. Sort of like when he managed Darren Young. I’m not saying they ever should have had Backlund as a full-time in-ring competitor during the 2000s, but a couple dozen matches or so during the 2000-2010 period would have been fun. I feel his 1994 heel work is underrated and he would have worked in the Attitude Era as a member of the Corporation.

Just a random question that popped in my head.
I'm a big enough nerd that I'd go eat at any of these if I were in the neighborhood.
Lawler has the place in Memphis he pretends to podcast from. Victoria/Lisa Marie has a place in Chi-Town. Steiner owns a Shonies in Ackworth, GA. I know JR used to have a place, but I believe it went belly up, and the same for Abdullah the Butcher's House of Hepatitis in Atlanta.
How many more are there that I'm missing?
(Yes, I know that one isn't endorsed by Cena. I don't care).
