I'd argue Hangman is a solidified main eventer even if he's not nearly as important to AEW as MJF currently. People love moving goalposts about him because he was already an established guy in Ring of Honor but he was solidly seen as a midcarder with some upside and AEW is where he became a bonafide main event level talent. I’m no Hangman expert but I always sort of thought he was like a Seth Rollins-type: he can go down in the midcard to mix it up for awhile but he can go right back to title matches without having to be “built back up”. He doesn’t necessarily have to be in the main event, but he’s still at the top. |

The Foley storyline on the Raw where he won his first world title. A great episode of Raw to be sure, but Foley and Rock had been feuding over the title for a month at that point. |

I hope Disney has a "every dark cloud has a silver lining" moment and aborts the multiverse. It ain't working. From several accounts, Majors was like this when he was a nobody as well. idk, just seems like a dick move. You cant get someone into something by berating then. Vince coming out saying "ARE YOU NOT HAVING FUN?" energy It’s not like he got on the house mic and started yelling at her to get out the building or something. Honestly I get people don’t like Bald but the outrage over this is a bit of a stretch. By the same token, no one here really seems outraged by this. No one’s calling for Dax to be fired or even have to apologize to the lady. The reaction is pretty much “Oh look, the King of Dork Mountain is back on his bullshit again….”, which is quite fair. |

I love the sheer joy in Schiavone's voice when he gets to call an awesome spot. As long as he's been calling wrestling, it'd be really easy to jadedly go through the motions, but during good matches you can really tell he's happy to be there. Schiavone and Michael Cole both managing to swiftly turn their legacies from “bored corporate schill” to “great announcer who genuinely loves calling wrestling” in the past few years has been a very welcome development. |

Very glad Kenny went to the doctor before it was too late. Wrestling is littered with examples of “Listen to your body, not your wallet or promoter”, we don’t need any more careers/lives getting cut short by wrestlers pushing themselves to the breaking point.

What's with all this "CM Punk is taking over NXT from HBK!" talk that Cultaholic keeps pushing? Ibou at WrestlePurists, who is close to Punk or his buddies, was hearing that is Punk's long term goal. He's usually right about stuff related to the guy, which is why you see folks pushing it. It’s classic Punk to think “Triple H should totally shove his best friend who’s doing a good job out of his job so I can have it, even though he probably still hates me.” |

I’m not going to claim that Otis Redding’s original version of “Respect” is better than Aretha Franklin’s iconic version but it is a very good version as well. Pretty sure most people don’t even know Aretha’s version is a cover, which is a big disservice to Otis.

Maybe not the worst ever but a big name that never gets mentioned in these type of threads? Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. Just sort of meandered around the midcard for years while Brutus the Barber became one of the most over acts in the company.

This man has been in the business for over two decades and the thing he's most famous for is biting his boss. For some reason, I always think of Tito Santana when Ace Steel comes up. Tito had like 100x the career Ace had, then retired to become a teacher. He still does a show here and there but he was by all accounts a really nice guy and great worker who had a terrific career and then moved on when it was over. I don’t know why my brain chose Tito Santana as the juxtaposition point for some loser who had maybe a month’s worth of relevance in his life, but it did. |
