Investigate the entire Church of Scientology and shut them down once and for all. Honestly, after what the organization allegedly tried to do against the US government itself, I’m amazed that the feds didn’t go scorched earth on them. Without getting any further into the topic as it would violate a few board rules, the US government cannot go “scorched earth” against any religious group per the 1st Amendment. |

It probably eventually comes to a head, anyway, it just doesn't derail a bunch of shit. It's not as big a what-if as "what if COVID never happens", but it's still one of the big branching points in the company's history. this and "what if Cody stayed in AEW" are probably two of the biggest branching points. Cody leaving AEW also had a massive effect on WWE, so I’d say it’s the biggest “What If?” in recent years for all of wrestling. It’s also the polar opposite of Punk in that it worked out tremendously well for all parties involved, whereas everyone came out of the Punk to-do much worse. |

I've seen on Twitter and in Facebook comments some of the hardcore Punk fanbase now turning on Ace Steel with their theory that the Punk problems in AEW started once Ace joined the company and all of Punk's outbursts and missteps have been because Ace Steel has been egging him on like Ace is Punk's Lady MacBeth or some shit. Just wild the reaches some will make to defend their parasocial boy. They’re like the Soviet politburo turning on whoever might have fallen out of favor with the Leader. Almost like some sort of….cult of personality…, |

It's still wild to me that they brought him back. HIM. The guy that was biting Kenny. Just absolute stupidity It’s extra baffling because Ace Steel is, and I think this is being fair to him, an absolute nobody. Like if HBK or somebody bit a guy, you could sort of understand if they brought him back after some time passed and hopefully fences had been mended but bending over backwards for a zero like Ace Steel is just bonkers. |

I do think Khan should have fired Punk after the press conference, but he does deserve credit here. It’s pretty historically rare for a guy causing trouble (or worse) to get fired. The JBLs of the world got to be bullies and assholes forever without repercussions.  I realize I’m one of the very few huge Stevie Richards fans in the world but I’m always bummed that people forget he took JBL’s goddamn head off on the Smackdown after ONS. |

I’ve said this before but Rene really is the heir apparent to Mean Gene. She’s got her own character but she never really actively tries to get it over, she’s just able to bounce it off the entire roster.
And Tori’s really swimming with an actual character to have fun with.

In New Jersey, they actually hire falconers to walk up and down the boardwalk now. It seems to work well; apparently, getting a bit of funnel cake before an eagle devours you isn’t worth it to the gulls and they stick to the beach.

Yeah, Collision is going to get absolutely crushed this weekend and you'll have your people like see CM Punk was the only thing keeping AEW afloat! I don't think we can really have any meaningful discussion re: CM Punk as it pertains to Collision's ratings until January. There's also the Wild Card and Divisional Rounds of the NFL playoffs on Saturdays, too.
But yeah, football always hurts wrestling ratings. It hurts Raw on Mondays between MNF and the CFB National Championship game. People shouldn't be surprised it affects Collision, either.
Baseball playoffs start in a few weeks as well. It’s just going to be a tough stretch for a spell. |

For me with Jake is Wrestlemania 6 before his match with Dibiase The first thing I think of with Jake is the promo after slapping Elizabeth. Mean Gene yelling, "Get the hell out!," after put it over the top. “I could cultivate her into something even I could want!” would just be an edgy try-hard line out of the mouths of most of today’s top promo guys but Jake made it sound like he was the Devil incarnate. |

Hopefully they don’t go the “Cena brutally buries the guy on the mic before the match, then loses the match but his opponent still isn’t over so it’s really just a big waste of time” route that they just did with Theory and they did with face Roman years ago.

I doubt Tony was scared for his life due to Punk's fighting ability, he saw his MMA career. He probably was scared of Punk acting unhinged and lashing out around precariously placed monitors and production equipment (possibly throwing things). One of those falling on your head could do a lot of damage. He said others backstage were fearful which backs that up, they wouldn't be if only TK was in the line of fire. As stated above, I doubt Punk was physically intimidating Tony. I think it’s more like Punk got into Tony’s face with some colorful four letter adjectives. In other words-Tony couldn’t handle being yelled at. Getting in someone’s face is physical intimidation. |

Good point. And on a side note, the Bret Owen cage match had a mess up that largely goes unnoticed. Jim Neidhart and Owen are in the cage beating up on Bret. Anvil is to lock the cage door so the other Hart brothers can't get in. Anvil can't get the padlock on the cage door in time, so he shouts to the brothers on the outside "wait! wait!" That actually could work in only that specific context; that does seem like the type of thing you do when playing/fighting with your brothers that actually manages to work sometimes. |
