Piggybacking off the above, what was the last “former heel had to actually earn trust” storyline? The last I’ve I can remember is Rollins having to get back into Ambrose’s good graces, I’m assuming there’s been one since then. I know they okayed with it earlier this year with KO and Sami but KO hugged him after like 2 weeks, that’s too forgiving.

*raises hand* "Life-altering" could be good or bad so why is everyone just assuming the worst? The dude is 77 and has a history of steroid use and taking bumps. That, coupled with him having major surgery on his back, is why nobody is assuming it was positive. Also, back surgery is one of the hardest surgeries to recover from even for a person without Vince’s physical history. |

I had the exact opposite thought of “He’s trying to get back in the ring” when I read “life-altering”. Given his age and what he’s put his body through, I’m wondering if he’s going to be wheelchair-bound.

Honestly this just sounds like a random PPV set of matches rather than the biggest show they've ever done. Hell basically everything they've built would almost be a set of rematches to some degree. That's just what feels like the issue. This should feel HUGE. Tony should be going full throttle in the sense of even doubling the Okada/Danielson and Ospreay/Kenny matches but bigger. And he's just not. Could not agree more. There’s not too much juice anywhere on the card. With the possibility of Omega/Ospreay withstanding. This should be the biggest show in AEW history and the presumed card feels like Fight for the Fallen. To play Devil’s advocate, look at the traditional biggest WWE shows ever. WM 3 had Butch Reed/Koko B Ware and the Dream Team vs the Rougeaus. Summerslam 92 had Nailz/Virgil and Crush/Repo Man. WM 17 had the APA & Taz/RTC and Test/Eddie Guerrero. They do need a few “Dear God, THIS is an event!!” matches but there’s going to be some filler on the card. That’s just the way of wrestling. |

Every time I see Patrick Wilson in a movie, I think “Patrick Wilson must be a really nice guy or something because he is an absolutely awful actor to keep getting cast in actual movies.” |

I agree about Sean Waltmann. He was alright as the 1-2-3 Kid, but I thought he took a big step in WCW. Syxx walked so X-Pac could run. I was gonna say Waltman got bigger each time he jumped ship. Probably one of the guys that benefited most from that crazy time period, actually. |

I was just thinking.... what does SNL now do on late Saturday nights? I'm wondering how the BOTB number compares. I know its probably not fair to compare because the times are different... but just curious. Usually in the 4 million viewers ballpark. |
