Personally, I'm just going to turn my inner smark off and enjoy my favorite event of the year. Same. Watching with a non-regular, so just going to enjoy (and bite my tongue if Reigns retains).

Just please STOP THE FLYING HEADBUTT. THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE Truth be told, never a fan even before the brain damage issue. It comes across as the most ridiculous move that would hurt the user more than the victim (and as we learned, for real).

I'll back you up in that I never watched TNA and sporatically watch NJPW (and was taking a break when Gallows was in WWE), so I think I've seen, only two AJ matches. But I've seen plenty of Gallows and Anderson, plus I'm a sucker for tag teams. So yeah, my excitement level for the big four gets from Japan are Nakamura, Gallows/Anderson, and AJ last.

He's done some law enforcement work in my neck of the woods. He became a deputy in my neighboring county a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if he's still with them. Maybe it's just the picture, but looks like Bull ate the rest of RTC.

I hope that if he's cleared he really is feeling great and healed. I miss him.
Has there ever been a superstar injury with this much press and fan concern?

Honestly, while I don't think that Jericho coming back and doing Classic Chris is a bad thing, I think the issue is that he does it so darn often. Like, when The Rock, HBK, or even Mick Foley make an appearance, they do their usual routine - spout catch phrases, pander to the audience, and generally eat up 10-15 minutes - and then go away until the next time they appear. But Jericho comes back, doing the same thing... and does it for 1-4 months before going away. And as people have mentioned, while he's putting people over when he feuds with them, it means a bit less every time since he never, eeeeeeeeeeeever wins... and yet, when they try to prove that yes, Y2J is still able to hang with these new guys, and he does get a win, people get upset because Jericho never wins what the hell. ...still, they should turn him heel for this run. It's like we love it when Ron Simmons shows up and exclaims "Damn!" a couple of times a year, but give him a regular thing for a couple of months where we hear it a couple of times a show, it would get very old. I almost feel like when Mick or Rock shows up (especially the former) and does catchphrases and panders, they do it with a wink and a nod to the audience. Jericho does his catchphrases and seems to be just as serious about them being cool as he did a decade ago.

It actually started for me with his podcast. He was so obnoxious. And when he started coming back on the show occasionally, I just couldn't not notice how unfunny he was. It feels like some pantomiming charisma. He's loud, smiling, energetic, but nothing he says means anything. He uses the same schtick as he did 15 years ago and the stuff he says that's supposed to be devastating are just weak. He's like the older middle-aged guy who says something he thinks is hilarious, and smiles like he's the shit.
Plus he just looks like a massive douchebag these days.

Even if they screw it up again, I'm interested to see it all unfold. Like the guilty pleasure of watching an explosion from afar. That's kinda how I am about wrestling. I may not like what's going on, but I still want to experience what's happening to the characters I've invested so much time into. That's what kept me watching alot of tv shows long past them jumping the shark.

Definitely High. No matter how I feel about the product, PPVs are always fun. Being a Royal Rumble, it'll be extra fun. Plus, I plan on watching it with a friend, instead of alone like I usually do. Take some snacks, he brews great beer. Also, he doesn't watch wrestling (used to watch the Attitude era), so when there's kindof a lack of bias. I don't bring my own fanboy opinions into it at all (don't shit on Reigns or Cena) and only get wrestle geeky when he wants me to explain a person or gimmick.

How about everyones eliminated and they have only number #30 left. Then out walks Triple H new champion. I was actually imagining something like this just last night. The last two guys in the ring before 30 send each other out. Roman Reigns hasn't been out yet so everyone knows, when he hits the ring, he's won automatically. Then, "Behold the king!" Trip comes out, not even in ring gear and enters the ring. He then takes the title as champion. What's going on? Cut to the back to find Roman, out cold and bloody at the hands of the League of Nations.
