I don't get why so many dislike him now. He can still go in the ring, is still good on the mic with the exception of a few corny things he says here & there. I do prefer him as a serious heel though. And it's not like he doesn't put over others when he's around. So what's with all the dislike for him now when most used to like him.

Because, and this is only my opinion, he is absolutely terrible at what he does now.
He says the same things he was saying 16 years ago, and has not updated a single one of his catchphrases. His entire shtick is played out - he panders to diminishing crowd reactions. He's old news, and it would be nice to have some new fresh faces getting pushed instead of a Bon Jovi knockoff.

Character fatigue. Been doing the same thing off/on since the late 90's. When he does change things it's for the worse like his awful serious character, or his troll the fans persona.

It's really three/four dudes posting a lot. I've seen indifference throughout to Jericho, but no more than to the entire roster. But again, it's the same people abusing hyperbole (he's cancer, he's death, etc) to get the point across that they're not fans. I thought there was more to it, but then I spent a week actually paying attention to what gets posted and by whom and found a correlation.
I wish I did better things with my time, as well.

He shows up, does his 16 year old stick, then leaves. He really adds nothing to anything besides "Remember me! I said a thing!" It would be better if they had him in a few matches and was part of the main roster but we don't even get that.

I get that about saying the same catchphrases. I think that could easily be fixed though if he went back to the way he was in 2008/2009 as a serious heel. I just think it's good to have a veteran around on the roster who can still go in the ring & put over others though.

I don't know I don't get it either. Puts guys over, still entertaining, and still good in the ring for his age. Yeah he's lost a step or two and is not as good he used to be but who is at 45. His feud with Bray Wyatt in 2014 was pretty bad with most of their matches being sluggish, so I guess maybe that has something to do with it. A lot people here consider him a local man and compare him to Kane and Big Show which to me is ridiculous as he's much more entertaining and useful then those two.

He is like that band that had a hit or two years ago and has done nothing but "Best Ofs" and "Greatest Hits" albums and tours since. His act has become horribly stale and tired while others have taken lead and turned it into something bigger and better but they always come back to him because of his history. He does nothing for anyone but won't hesitate to tell you how great he is when his time has come and gone.
I guess in short, he is the embodiment of TNA.

He's an obnoxious tool on and off camera. I disagree. I've met him twice and easily the most personable and polite of the wrestlers I've met and that's a lot of them.

Other people say he actively snubs others, so I'm glad you had a positive experience.
He still comes off like a horrendous two-faced tool on and off camera.

It's the law of diminishing returns. Jericho has done so many comebacks and returns and it gets lamer each time. When he shows up everyone knows he's jobbing and his matches are getting worse and worse. In essence him coming back to put people over does exactly not that since he has zero rub left to give.

Tired of him as an on screen character exacerbated by Talk is Jericho and social media where he comes off as a prick, trying to work and look down on the fans while still being a man of the people to keep people listening to his podcast. Then there's stuff like the time he whined about Punk distancing himself from his friends, got a rebuttal from Punk and his reaction to that proved Punk right not to confide anything in him, a videoblog post behind a paywall, his reaction to the DeMott situation also did him no favours, defending him being unnecessarily brutal with students until people like ECIII gave firsthand accounts of his cruelty toward people he was meant to be training as the future of the WWE and endangering their long term health. He deleted his defence of DeMott and carried on.
Jericho peeled back the curtain yet keeps on trying to work people and being condescending to his audience, understandably people don't take kindly to that, he comes off as insincere and people who would be excited to see him are now just 'eh'.

The promos he's done since coming back have been pretty bad. But I did really like the ref bit last night. He's someone that sometimes sucks then finds his groove and he's great again.
Other than that a lot of stuff he's said in interviews and the way he acts on his podcast, and the way he dresses and just his overall being is what people seem to hate. To me he seems like a super nice person and has never done anything I'd consider bad, he had a DUI but you make a mistake and learn. He's kind of a lame-o but he's doing his thing and is leading what looks from the outside as an amazing life. Even if I don't like him on screen I'll always like the guy himself.

He's basically a parody of a mid-40s Jericho trying to be the guy he used to be in 1999.
"Oh, I was cool then right? Let me dress in what I think is cool." "I said great stuff on the mic then? Let me say those same things again." "I went overboard in what I say about myself? Let me cook up this Jericho/Brock Something match I'm sure people want." "I could go toe to toe with Mysterio who's the most athletic? Let me do this cartwheel here."
The sad thing is that it's 2016 and all of those things just don't work anymore. It's like when Rock came back and tried to do some lame insults like in 2000 but the difference is Rock's adapted with the times and he's changed from how he was then. Jericho's the same dude but he's somehow dressing worse, cockier and he's far more out of shape.
It doesn't work out. He's horrible. Poor Ambrose better not be facing this man at WM.

He's a gimmick steeling fiend.
Last night alone he stole the hosting talky segments in bad clothing gimmick from the Miz, pointing from Sin Cara and that weird cartwheely thingy from Dana.

I think he's being corny as hell on purpose to set up his heel turn and character change. By WrestleMania everybody will be saying how awesome he is.

Cause he's stale and doesn't update his character. You know, like 90% of wrestling characters.
I get the criticism, but saying "he's like a band that had a few hits" just seems like downplaying the like 10-15 years he was really good. Pretty much 2010 is when I was over him.
I get being tired of a character, but some of the vitriol, yeesh guys.
