The film/series of films has a legion of fans and most people adore it/them but for some reason you dont.
Name the film(s) and explain why.

Anything Star-. Star Wars, Star Trek, etc... Probably mostly because I despise Sci-Fi
SuperBad. I hated this movie. It was unnecessarily vulgar and the funniest parts of the movie were in the previews.

Harry Potter. Lord of the Rings. Just didn't like 'em. We also would have accepted "they were too long for my liking." which is my reason for not liking them.

All the gross out comedies.
Animal house was funny because its basis was not the gross out, it was just the additional simple humour in the film. Basing a whole film on jokes that would embarrass a 5 year old is pointless.
Any of the "frat pack" films apart from Zoolander. Tired, cliches formulas.

Shawshank Redemption.
I DID enjoy it when I watched it, but I do not understand whatsoever where the mad hype comes from.

I dunno if it's as beloved now, but I didn't care for Wedding Crashers at all. It was so hyped and I figured the word of mouth mighta meant something, really now as long as you've got about a dozen or so 5 second humorous parts, that makes everyone feel they've watched a completely funny movie and that's just not the case

Pan's Labyrinth - I just didn't get it. Jaws 2-193 -It worked once..please retire the giant shark movie. Oh except the Sea World one it was pretty cool so it can stick around.
Then again I've been told I have horrible taste in films so...

Titanic. Way too long, boring, and overhyped. Months before I finally broke down and watched it on video, a coworker of mine told me that it had a surprise ending. I said, "What, it didn't sink? Or maybe it was sunk by Godzilla rather than an iceberg?" Now that movie I would have liked.
Many John Hughes Films. Those movies that were popular in the 80's, like 16 Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, etc. They weren't what I would consider entertaining movies. They did not entertain me. But he did write some movies that I liked, including Ferris Bueller's Day off and the unappreciated Nate and Hayes. Yes, I said Nate and Hayes, get over it.
The English Patient. Oh my word, I detested this movie. It felt like it just dragged on needlessly and didn't hold my interest. And yes, I was one of the people who liked the Lord of the Rings movies, and they were long as well.
Out of Africa. Once again, a movie that didn't hold my interest.
The Bridges of Madison County. Admittedly, I watched this movie with low expectations. The only reason I did watch it was because of Clint Eastwood. However ... not interested. I would have preferred watching The Badgers of Madison Wisconsin. ;D

Ahem...
Any Star - movie. I'm not in that kind of sci-fi.
Harry Potter. Comparing the Rowling's saga to Tolkien is like comparing crap with Nutella. Overhyped blockbuster, dime-a-dozen children books/movies.
Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers. Too much to bear. Long battles in CGI tend to get boring, despite being breathtaking in the book.
Superhero movies. I loathe SH comics, I can't find a good reason to like a 90 minutes adaptation on the silver screen.
Action movies. A couple of men save the world with their bare hands, or with ONE piece of equipment. Tons of explosions and cheap combat... Meh
Forrest Gump: an idiot lucks out at life, despite not understanding a thing of what happens to him. What's the message exactly?
Preachy, PC cartoons. Kids don't care about political correctness, hell, they don't even know what it is. So stop throwing them messages they don't get. Give 'em the good old Black v White struggle.
Anything with Hugh Grant. 100 movies, 1 role: the lovable nerd/goofball who'll end up with a hot chick for no good reason.

Donnie Darko..at least in the circles I've been privy to.
There's nothing exceptional or mind-blowing about it, I thought it was pretty straight-forward.

Plup Fiction
Whoopie Do, swearing, guns, and teh buttsecks.
So innovative!
BUT BUT BUT, it's filmed not in order.
It's just another movie that angry teens overquote and talk about too the point of drool coming out of their mouths.
I did like it the first time I saw it because of it's retro kinda feel.
Beyond that, I can't stand it.
