t181) 2 pts Opera Man Actor: Adam Sandler Character Type: Recurring Show: Saturday Night Live Who was he? Opera Man was a Weekend Update character played by Adam Sandler. He would appear in a fancy shirt and black cape and sing, opera style, jokes about current events and celebrities. Among Opera man's sketches, regarding the L.A. Riots: "La Chiefa Policia, no dispatcha gendarme / morono, no respondo / no excusa, bagga doucha!" There was also the "tom hanks-o/ nominat-o. next year go to franc-o/ give someone else/ a freaking chance -o! (on the screen a picture of Billy Madison comes up) Great clip. The one where he was professing his man crush on Eddie Vedder was even better. ;D

t181) 2 pts The Man Who Speaks in AnagramsActor: Eric Idle Character Type: I'm not quite sure honestly! Show: Monty Python's Flying Circus www.clipser.com/watch_video/529297EDIT: Thanks to Captain Cold aka Faceless Name for the help in finding the video. No Video Again, DP!? Sorry, but I just can't find one. I could swear I saw one the other day, but I may have just been reading a transcript and got the skit stuck in my head. Well... I bet you'll take the Flying Pig Way out and cut this short? Sort of, but I do have some info. This man speaks purely in anagrams. So if he were to say "Hello, how are you?" to you he may word it like "Loleh, who rea you?" Eventually in the skit he is caught not using an anagram and another word puzzle to speak instead. When called out on this he gets mad and leaves saying, in plain English "If you're going to split hairs I'll just leave!" Well, thanks. That's it huh? Not quite. I got more info then the Pig. The base of this character stems from the actore himself. Idle's work in Python is often characterised by an obsession with language and communication: many of his characters have verbal peculiarities, such as the man who speaks in anagrams, the man who says words in the wrong order, and the butcher who alternates between rude and polite every time he speaks. A number of his sketches involve extended monologues (for example the man who won't stop talking about his unpleasant experiences with holidays), and he would frequently spoof the unnatural language and speech patterns of television presenters. Additionally, like Palin, Idle is said to be the master of insincere characters, from the David Frost-esque Timmy Williams, to small-time crook Stig O'Tracy, who tries to justify the fact that organized crime master Dinsdale Piranha had nailed his head to the floor.

t181) 2 pts
Velvet Jones Actor: Eddie Murphy Character Type: Recurring Show: Saturday Night Live
Who was he? Velvet Jones was an ongoing character played by Eddie Murphy on the American sketch comedy Saturday Night Live in its seventh season. Velvet was depicted as a pimp on the program and first appeared on the October 17, 1981 episode (with guests George Kennedy and Miles Davis).
What else did he do besides this skit? Subsequent episodes had Jones selling items such as Velvet Jones Harlequin Romance books, which included fictitious odd titles including Kicked in the Butt by Love.
Who loves Velvet Jones? Probably Cornfed, he's an Eddie Murphy on SNL mark.

t181) 2 pts Benita Butrell Actor: Kim Wayans Character Type: Recurring Show: In Living Color www.hulu.com/watch/4982/in-living-color-benita-butrellWho is this? Benita Butrell Kim Wayans portrays a neighborhood woman who breaks the fourth wall by gossiping directly to the viewer and airing her neighbors' dirty laundry after they pass by her...but she "ain't one to gossip, so you didn't hear that from me." She claims to be very close to a "Mrs. Jenkins," who ironically is usually the target of her most vicious gossip. What is the fourth wall? Fourth wall is the barrier between fiction and reality. When the fictional characters acknowledge they are ficitonal and talk to the auidence/readers, they are breaking said wall. Why are you telling us something we know. About the fourth wall no less. You really are pushing for something to type here aren't you? Yes.

Don West Actor: Will Ferrell Chracter Type: Three-Shot Show: Saturday Night Live
No picture or video AGAIN huh? Hey, I checked four video sites and found nothing. What can I say besides there is a reason this is at 178th place!
Any info then? Tiny bit. I don't remember the skits myself very well so I can't add an anything personally. Here is what I know. Between November 1996 and March 1997, Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan parodied West and his co-host, Eddy Lewis, on three episodes of Saturday Night Live.[

t178) 3 pts Ian DaeglishActor: Mark McKinney Character Type: Recurring Show: Saturday Night Live www.truveo.com/SNL-Mike-Myers-Scottish-Soccer-Hooligans-Weekly/id/686117852Who is he? Ian Daeglish is the host of the fictional show Scottish Soccer Hooligan Weekly. He's often seen getting his nose broken by his co-host, Andy Grey. Those are some delicious looking dogs! The skit was known for having several fake sponsors including "Bollocks" brand hot dogs. So I know you all want those Bollocks brand dogs, but you can't get them.

Boo. Will Ferrell sucked as Don West.
Not surprising, though. Ferrell can't do a decent impression to save his life.
