No thanks. I'm not big on Weezy at all. Sorry. Trust me, I tried to get into him. I've heard at least half or more of his catalogue...and barring a couple of songs, he just does nothing for me.

I suppose I could do a counterpoint, admittedly I like most of your tastes though.
Personally I am hoping for Adele, Sleepercar, and TV on the Radio being on there. BUT, I don't expect it, but they are on mine.

BUT, I don't expect it, but they are on mine. Out of those, I've honestly only heard TV on the Radio. They're quite good though. I'll have to check the other two out. You have yet to steer me wrong. #15) Scars on Broadway Ahhh this one really surprised me. When I first heard "They Say", I was pretty unimpressed. It's certainly not a bad song, but it was not at all a good representative of SoB's sound. It was very straightforward and I was expecting something different, I suppose. What I got when I heard the full CD was WAY more along the lines of what I was hoping for. Daron and crew totally did not disappoint. This CD is just awesome from beginning to end. Awesome bizarre lyrics, catchy without being too poppy...all in all just very good. And I love Daron's voice, I don't care who thinks it's bad. I'm glad I was proven wrong.

Glad to know someone appreciates it ;D #14) Weezer - Red Album Yeah, I know, WEEZER SUX N DERE LAST GUD ABLUM WUZ PINEKRTON. That opinion is pretty widespread, and I can see how you'd feel that way...but I'm of the opinion that they have yet to release a bad album. Pinkerton is my favourite, yes, but I think everything they've done is great. Red is no exception. It's probably their most experimental, and their sense of humour seems to be back in full stride. Personally I feel every single song on this record is greatness, especially "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived". That's a helluva fun song. But really...I think if you just stop expecting them to release another Pinkerton, perhaps their other stuff will start sounding good to you. Maybe not, I don't know. But give Red a try. I enjoyed it.

got any plan to wrap this list up? Well I've got some really pretty red shiny paper, and a purple ribbon. I think it'll work nicely. #13)Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs Oh man, what a surprising release by them. Not so much that it came out...just, wow it was experimental. It was definitely a lot heavier than anything else they've ever done, and a lot more...I dunno exactly. It's almost as deeply textured as Transatlanticism, but it's definitely got a different feel going on than that album did. Everything about it is just so different. But it's still definitely Death Cab. If you're interested in Death Cab, I highly recommend this release. It's not really a good gateway album for them by any means...but if you've been into them for years, it's definitely worth a shot. They took it in an interesting direction, and got a little less accessible because of it...but that's not a bad thing. Great stuff.

I've always been indifferent towards them. I'm not really a fan but they do have some songs I like. I thought about giving this a listen but after hearing his review,I decided against it. After reading yours though,I may give it a shot.

Of course, I'm one of those people that gets bored when bands put out the same album over and over again. I like my bands to evolve.

Next up, son! #12) The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath What a crazy-ass album. These guys have yet to release a bad album as far as I'm concerned, and Bedlam is no different. It's pretty much a jump start from the beginning...no slow buildups or anything like that. "Aberinkula" just throws you right in, and the album really doesn't ever let up. It's just a relentless assault of awesome. These guys really are the kinds of modern progressive rock, along with Coheed & Cambria. Just brilliance all around. I never get tired of Cedric's vocals, he's just so expressive, and his lyrics are amazing, if insanely cryptic. And Omar...well, Omar's a musical genius. And a totally underrated guitarist. In general, these guys just rule way too hard.

Just got off work...time to hit the next one, kids. #11) Loma Prieta - Last City So this record is probably gonna be the least known of my list around these parts. Or anywhere else, really. Hadn't even heard of this band until I was on a huge screamo kick mid last year...found them through a blog, and goddamn if this album isn't spectacular. It's basically everything I could ever want in a screamo record, with a little Fall of Troy-esque progressiveness just for good measure. Really...it's just such a f***ing spectacular and emotional album. I love it. And it is real screamo. It is not the shit that gets branded as screamo these days like Bullet For My Valentine, or Atreyu, or f***ing anything. It's nothing like that...so don't go in expecting it if you wanna check 'em out.
