Dude, you gotta let it go. Never thought I'd see someone so passionate over Sherlock Holmes.

Dude, you gotta let it go. I've thought I'd see someone so passionate over Sherlock Holmes. Lol I'm not that upset or really upset. There is way bigger Oscar snubs I have seen. I just view Oscars just somebody else's opinion. I only follow them because I like to see great movies and performances get recognition and bitch when the bad ones get recognition or win. I am pretty calm that Sherlock Holmes lost to Avatar and Up. *twitch* *twitch* *twitch* *twitch-twitch-twitch-twitch* language warning: {Spoiler}

And it is mostly thanks to me.

My local cinema is too geared towards kids and couples on dates. I don't think they even showed The Hurt Locker when it was released but they are showing it one day this week only, whereas Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 has been out since Christmas. I think I'm gonna go see it though

Irregardless of that...where will one find the ratings and viewership results of this little shindig? I'm interested to find out too.

I got Paul N.J. Ottoson confused with Vigo the Carpathian. Congratulations to him but I can deny that he's ugly.
"Ah oh Ah I can't look at you. I can handle ugly but this is like circus ugly."

I hope I'm not the only who thinks Sherlock Holmes got screwed over twice!!!!! Well mostly for Art Direction and Up was the only other film in that category that had a great original soundtrack. I haven't seen Fantastic Mr. Fox as well. If any film got screwed in the score category it was The Informant. It didn't even get nominated, yet I didn't hear a better score last year.

Between Bullock and Bigelow, it was a big night for attractive older females.

Very happy to see Avatar didn't win. Now I really need to get round to seeing The Hurt Locker.
Also did District 9 win anything?

Also did District 9 win anything? Well, it won an IGN award... and a Golden Reel award for sound editing... and a Visual Effects Society award... Oh, you mean Oscars? No, it didn't win anything.

It should have won for special FX
I thought it was better than Avatar even with it's small budget

Apparently around 41 million people watched the proceedings, quite a jump from last year. Of course to be fair the other awards shows, Golden Globes, Emmys, Grammies, all had their fair share of increases too so I suppose this was a natural rise rather than people just tuning in to get their kicks at seeing lamp shades on the wall. Just for the record, how many Americans saw the US-Canada game the week back? I assume its results are similar too.

really wish Dags would have won the Oscar for Best Actor for Hurt Locker. Guess I cant complain that The Dude won it instead, still it would have been cool to see the guy from Senior Trip win the Oscar

Happy because...
Avatar lost Best Picture James Cameron lost Best Director Jeff Bridges won Best Actor Mo'Nique won Best Supporting Actress Christoff Waltz won Best Supporting Actor Logorama won Best Short Animated Film and of course Roger Corman won an Oscar!
Unhappy because... In no way did Bullock deserve Best Supporting Actress. Should have gone to Meryl Streep. The stupid dolphin movie won. Tyler Perry... GO AWAY!

I don't get how you want Tyler Perry to go away but are happy that Mo'Nique won. She wouldn't have won that Oscar if he hadn't have helped get the film distributed.

They could both go away, that would be cool.

Does anyone find it weird that Fisher Stevens (Ben Jabituya from Short Circuit, George Minkowski from Lost) won a freakin' Oscar? Seriously, if you were to tell me 5 years ago that this guy and the woman from Phat Girlz were going to be Oscar winners, I'm sure I'd laugh in your face.
