If I was CM Punk, I'd be pretty damn pissed that The freakin Miz headlined Wrestlemania before I did. WWE just has their chosen ones, and then guys like Punk that are so good they have to keep them around, so those guys put the chosen ones over.

Maybe he secretly desires to feud with Austin. (God, I hope the WWE will work on something like that in the future. Too good to miss that opportunity.) So now we have to hope on Steve wrestling another match to keep Punk?

To be fair if Punk was bothered by that I think he'd realise that The Rock wasn't going to be involved in his match (against the IMHO more over main eventer Randy Orton) and say 'fair enough.' He got his match of the night against Orton after all. I hope Punk resigns and given how he works his arse off and is constantly pushed as the top heel through the promo time he's given it'd be sad to see him go. Albeit if he needed a few months off that's more than fair enough, as long as he came back feeling refreshed. Reyrey, double edged sword, I like him in matches (outside of his 98% victory ratio) but despise his character. If he buggered off for a year I'd be happy. Maybe he'd have knees that were more healthy than the dust that imitates his old knee caps right now.

They don't have to wrestle but their interaction with each other would probably be golden. Whether it be an in-ring or backstage segment.

i'd be surprised at both tbh...with them moving Sin Cara over to SD i still think they're building towards Rey vs. Cara at 'Mania and keeping them both apart.
Punk i could see taking a break (ala Jericho, but shorter amt of time) and think he has a decent amount of money to rest on (i mean i could live quite nicely off ONE year of Punk's salary..not for life, but for awhile), i doubt he would go anywhere else and just take time off.
both i'll believe when i see it. especially Rey, this always comes up when his contract expires and he always gets what he wants for the obvious reasons. (not saying it to be negative, just that he has a lot of pull with his popularity)
