Punk wins AND beats the MITB winner. Now that'll be interesting. Like after Punk win's, Vince come out and says the nights not over yet, the MITB winner comes out, and Punk beats him after hitting him with the WWE Championship. On topic, I have absolutely no clue what's gonna happen, and I love it. The more unpredictablity the better. This is kind of what a friend and I came up with. With CM Punk the WWE Champion and "not under contract," you could have Vince scrambling to try and get CM Punk to come back to do Summerslam, which would cost him millions (in the context of the angle, to make Punk more hated that he's holding up the WWE). He could rehire Cena, and have Cena beat Punk at Summerslam. It would add a lot of drama to Summerslam. If we were really lucky, The Rock could cost Punk the match (Summerslam is in Los Angeles, after all) to protect his WWE Title match at Wrestlemania and to remind Cena that he's coming after him. Gives Punk a good out and throws some more fuel on the fire for the Wrestlemania feud.

Punk wins.
Vince fires Cena.
Vince takes the belt from Punk.
The MITB winner then walks out, hands Vince the briefcase, and Vince hands him the belt. No match needed since the title was vacent.
Cena no sells his firing again and feuds with the new champ going into SummerSlam

Punk beats Cena, MITB winner comes down, Cena helps them defeat Punk, only for Del Rio (as the other number one contender to come out and defeat the the MITB winner.

Cena wins clean. Punk does the walk of shame or pride, whatever. Cena is 'exhausted' yet heroic. Vince isn't satisfied. He feels Cena put the company at too big of a risk. He had a plan all along. Out comes Del Rio, Vince helps Del Rio capture the title.
Punk is gone. WWE title safe. Cena isn't fired. Cena stays face. Del Rio finally captures the gold. Summerslam Main Event is set up.

There's no way he's winning the belt if that's his last day working, so I think you can throw out alot of the MITB/Vince takes the belt scenarios. He's either staying and they're going to do a big ass swerve, or he's leaving and he's going to job. Possibly Vince then screws Cena ala the Batista thing at EC.

And I think all Cena winning situations are a total waste of the angle. And even worse are the Batista at EC type ones where the promo ends up being nothing but a heat transfer for a Vince/Cena feud.
It will turn alot of people off. So, hopefully they know what they're doing when they went down this road.

Optimistic Prediction: Punk wins the match, a babyface [Riley, Bourne, Kofi, or Rey I'm thinking Rey] comes out and cashes in MITB but Punk manages to fight that off as well and remain champion. Vince fires Cena giving Cena time off until Mania. Punk "leaves" with the title and Vince holds a tournament for a NEW title [Spinner belt retired] which Miz wins. Miz slowly turns babyface and Punk eventually returns proclaiming himself the REAL champion setting up a Miz/Punk match at Mania for the belt. Cena returns fresh and in peak condition for his match with Rock.
Cynic Prediction: Cena loses to Punk but then Del Rio wins MITB and cashes in and wins it off Punk, Punk still leaves [MAYBE coming back at the rumble] and Cena wins the title back from Del Rio at Summerslam and caries it through to the Rock match fighting off Del Rio, Truth, Miz, and a returning Jericho in the meantime.

I'm gonna disagree with the MITB route, HOWEVER I expect the Elimination Chamber 2010 route. Punk beats Cena and then McMahon comes out and says that Alberto Del Rio earned a title shot at MITB and he gets it now. Then he beats Punk for the title.

I'm not so down on Del Rio's title prospects. Del Rio needs more than a weak 1 month run with the belt should he pull of the MITB cash in vs. the winner of Punk/Cena. I think Punk may somehow win this match but then Del Rio will cash in and Vince will be there to do a mega Montreal Screwjob to Punk on the way out. Punk can take some time off before eventually coming back as a great anti hero babyface.

Punk defeats Cena and Vince immediately comes down and "fires" John Cena. We expect whoever won the Money in the Bank match to come down, but we go to the back to see David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty standing over a beaten down MitB holder. New Nexus (minus the injured Mason Ryan) join ringside and start attacking the fired Cena. Vince announces that Alberto del Rio will immediately get the title match he won the right to on this weeks Raw. Punk thinks New Nexus has his back, but they turn on Punk allowing del Rio to win the WWE Title from Punk. Vince "fires" Punk since his contract isn't over until midnight and del Rio and his new lackies in Otunga and McGillicutty continue assaulting Cena and Punk. Vince and del Rio embrace with del Rio taking his place as the new Corporate Champion.
This can possibly lead to the Rock coming to Cena's aid to get him reinstated for their Mania match. He can get Vince to have a match with two of Cena's buddies (Zack Ryder and Evan Bourne maybe) facing the tag champs (Otunga and McGillicutty) at Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble to get him rehired.

I have to say, Punk partnering with Vince would make little to no sense. Stone Cold did side with Vince after 4 year's of hatred against eachother. And nobody bought it that time either.

Alot of these are awful and potentially business crippling. That's the problem. Not saying they aren't plausible. It comes down to, like someone said, whether they really are self-aware or not.
If they build this up and make a Cena/Vince feud out of it, or worse, in combination, have Del Rio as the champ at the end of the night, whoa. Get ready for those 2's, because whatever audience you drew in or drew back with the promo angle is going to vanish.
It's one of those things where Punk almost HAS to win, and has to be coming back, because otherwise it would be idiotic.
Well...

If a babyface wins the RAW MITB then my scenario happens or at least part of it the Miz part is just wild speculation. Punk could also just stay and there's no leave then tournament part.
I could also see Punk winning and then Cena putting Punk over in such a way that he becomes an antihero babyface since if Cena leaves RAW really needs a top face other than Rey.

Punk partnering with Vince would be so awesome though. Thats one thing Punk has to do before he's done. Corporate WWE ass kissing Punk would piss off so much of his own fanbase. ESPECIALLY after his last promo.
Of course, everything interesting involves Punk staying. He almost has to. If not, then this thing is shit no matter who cashes in.

I have felt that Punk will win and be around until at least Summerslam, just to completely redo Summer of Punk 1.

Not to mention Corporate Sellout Punk lends itself pretty well to a match with Stone Cold at Mania if that's the route he and WWE really want to go with it.

I would love for Vince to introduce Punk the following night, and he comes out in a suit, a streak of PURPLE in his slicked back hair.

And he uses all the WWE buzzwords, and calls himself the best entertainer in the world.
That would break hearts.

Punk jobs clean, Cena moves on to Del Rio or whoever. The incident is never mentioned or referenced again. Business as usual.

I really don't understand this stuff. If you like a wrestler, do you stop liking them because there's a gimmick tweak or a turn?
