As I've said all along, you have to remember that this is the WWE and it's writers. They always let you down.
Cena wins and Punk leaves, probably for good. The angle is dropped and Cena moves on to a boring, predictable feud with Del Rio. They won't waste the MITB cash-in right away as it builds suspense for future PPVs and RAWs.
I predicted this before the GLAAD statement and now I'm even more convinced.

I can't help but think something big is going to happen. WWE normally has a big storyline going into SummerSlam, and I really don't feel they would make that big of a deal about Punk leaving if they weren't planning something. Hell with Jericho, JBL, Big Show, and even Jeff Hardy they didn't make big deals about them leaving.
I honestly feel something big is going down.

And yet there's no solid claim that Punk's leaving beyond flimsy dirtsheet rumors. Flimsy Dirtsheet rumor{Spoiler}A WWE spokesman told GLAAD that C.M. Punk is legitimately leaving the company on July 18. A story on OpposingViews.com notes that the spokesman told GLAAD that "this departure is not part of a storyline. He is contractually leaving the organization."
The story also notes that GLAAD provided training to members of WWE's editorial staff and writing team back in May, and there are discussions to hold similar training with the wrestlers. To read the full story, visit OpposingViews.com.
Powell's POV: It's worth noting that the story noted that Punk's deal "will not be immediately renewed." Obviously, they are keeping the door open, and this plays into speculation that he will be taking a hiatus once his contract expires. Given WWE's official statement, I would be surprised if Punk re-signed before his deal expires after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. So people think that backyard indy fed GLAAD is worth listening to now? I've seen their shows and it's nothing but two kids in clown makeup jumping off the roof onto spongebob air mattresses.

The best thing (well, I dunno if it's the BEST, but it's the best *plausible* thing) I've seen in this thread is that 1)Punk wins the title. 2)MITB cashes in. The announce table goes nuts and the crowd is all on their feet. The ref is in position, the ref rings the bell. 3)Punk then makes a mad dash down the aisle and out of the building, losing via countout. Heck, at the end of all of that, he could have a pre-recorded video ready to play on the Titantron to heel it up saying that he got everyone. A simple Punk has-the-title-held-hostage angle ensues (without any ROH or whatever bookings; he'd still be under contract and a genunine company feud could begin with Punk making appearances via "live" video feed and such). However, I 100% feel that below is the correct answer ... As I've said all along, you have to remember that this is the WWE and it's writers. They always let you down.

Punk wins. MITB cash in. Nexus saves Punk. Cena FIIIIRREEED. Punk comes out and signs new contract at RAW bragging about his master stroke of genius, but admits he has grown a new respect for Cena. Punk brings in a masked "Juan" Cena to team with him against the interests of McMahon. Awesomeness ensues.

My two cents: We're getting a Chicago Screwjob. Long match between Cena and Punk. STFU on Punk, out comes Vince. Cena breaks the hold right before ref calls for the bell. Match continues with Cena distracted by Vince at ringside. Punk gets Cena up for GTS but Cena slips out the back. Fast count from ref and Cena retains. Punk goes nuts destroys the set and rips into another shoot on his way out. He's gone until further notice. Next night on Raw Vince brings out the hero of the Money in the Bank PPV our savior John Cena. Cena says he had the match won fair and square but Vince wanted to play games. We're not on the same team and if this is how you want your champ to act then I'm out. Enter Money in the Bank winner Rey Misterio. He talks to Cena about being a proud champion and how he's looking forward to challenging HIM for the title. He says Vince just didn't want his title to go to another company. Honk honk honk..Alberto Del Rio comes out in the car and brings up his #1 contendership and destiny blah blah. He tells Vince he's the man who will be the proud champion he wants. GM chimes and tries to book the match for tonight but Vince says no let's do it at Summerslam and off we go. The IWC yawns until Punk returns as a crazed tweener right around Survivor Series after the GM is revealed as Mick foley, an ally to Punk who wants to destroy Vince's show with Punk and a selected few others doing his bidding by taking on all comers.

Since many people are fantasy booking right now, I'll have a shot at it.
CM Punk vs. John Cena goes on for about a good 15 minutes. It's back and forth with many finisher kickout's and close pinfall's. Punk goes for the GTS, but then Cena counter's it into the STF. Punk is in it for a few minutes, but he's right in them iddle of the right. Punk tap's out and the fans are living it, throwing trash and booing loudly. Punk then get's the mic after sitting in the ring for a few minutes while CM Punk chant's ran through the crowd. He get's the mic, says goodbye, this company won't be anything without me, and other thing's bashing the WWE. He then leaves with a sort-of standing ovation.
Up next, the RAW MITB match. The first seven participants come out, then Rey Mysterio's music hit's. RAW comes down, to only be viciously attacked by CM Punk! Punk beat's up Rey's leg then drops it on the steel step's. CM Punk then grab's a mic and says he's now in the MITB Ladder Match.
After a big spot filled, crazy MITB match, with many people coming closer than ever before, Evan Bourne is gonig up the ladder. The fan's are on their feet, it seems Bourne has the MITB breifcase, until CM Punk climb's up the ladder and kick's Bourne in the back of the head. CM Punk then grab's the brieface and falls to the crowd. CM Punk now holds the MITB breifcase, and he then grabs a mic.
He say's "My contract's not up yet, I'm cashing this in right now on the WWE Championship, Cena let's go." Vince McMahon than comes out and proclaim's that Cena already competed, Punk cheated to get him chance in the MITB ladder match, and he doesn't derserve to have another shot. Punk says he can have a title match whenever he want's, he want's it right now. Vince then says, "you know what Punk Youre!...Fi..., he pauses to see Cena walk past him with the WWE Championship with him and get in the ring. But, before the match begin's, Vince say's he wont have some referee screw over this match, he'll be the special guest referee!
Match is on, back and forth with moves and punches from both man. Cena goes for the AA, Punk counter's into the Anaconda Vice. Cena get's to the rope, and Punk breaks the hold. Cena then gets back to his feet to fight Punk off, hit's his finishing stretch, and then he goes for the AA, Punk counter's into the GTS, Cena counters again into the STF. Right in the middle of the ring, deja vu for the fans who start booing loudly. CM Punk is in the hold for a few minutes, then taps out.
But, Vince doesn't call for the bell! Vince just stand's there as Cena get's up in disgust. Vince than low blow's Cena, only for Cena to turn right into a GTS. Vince count's Cena down 1..2..3! CM Punk is the new WWE Champion. Vince than embraces Punk as if this was seen to be the plot all along, to get rid of Cena. Cena is seen getting up in the corner, as Vince goes over to Cena's face, and yell's Youre....Fired! Cena sit's there as if in shock, as Punk hold's up the WWE Championship to end the show.
This isn't what I think will happen, just my fantasy booking.

Pu this in the MITB thread, should go in here as well
Punk wins, Cena in pain climbs back into the ring and says that it was the match of the year he was hoping for and he says that although he is fired he still intends to be there for the business and company that he loves, and that he will see Rock at Wrestlemania.
MITB holder comes out to cash in on Punk. Punk defeats the MITB holder (lets say Punk vs Evan or Kofi because both have good chemistry with Punk and are faces [and isnt Mysterio again]) putting him over strong. Vince realises he is going to lose a huge potential star if he lets him go and he goes down to apologise to Punk for suspending him.
Vince asks Punk for a handshake which Punk acccepts to the dismay of his hometown crowd (ala x7), both laughing together. When Vince isnt looking Punk becomes sirious. Vince realises this and tries to walk away only for Punk to pull him back in and give him a deadly GTS.
The roster run to the ring (as well as some security through the crowd) to help Vince and to get Punk for turning his back on the company. Punk instead sprints out of the arena while this is happening with the title. The roster check on an unconcious Mcmahon as the Chicago crowd is going crazy. PPV goes off the air.
I can dream right :/

What i think would be more interesting would be for vince to "screw" punk out of the title. However, cena doesnt want to win that way and basically gives vince the belt and "quits". That sets up a tournament at summerslam and cena and punk are pretty much given the "benoit" treatment in which theyre never mentioned on tv (though i suppose they could keep their matches on WWE Classics since you cant really edit them out) and even the announcers avoid talking about them. Then around november or so, have them return and go after vince, setting up the "civil war" angle (are you with cena/punk or are you with vince?). You may even be able to stretch this out until WM, with vince getting so desperate that he asks austin and rock for help, despite their pasts (yes, i know vince allied himself with both men). That way, you get cena/punk vs austin/rock.

Punk loses and leaves the company to fulfill his true passion: solving crimes with his trusty dog Mr. Sprinkles.

I think I don't want any MITB or any shenanigans here.
Either Punk or Cena, clean. This story doesn't feel right with all the extra crap added to it. If Punk really is leaving, then Cena should win clean. If Punk is staying and this is some swerve, then he should win, clean, or at least clean for a Cena match.

I'd just like to say WWE writers do not always let me down. I like straightforward stories.

Vince is no longer a genius.
So Cena wins.

I have a few scenarios I can see happening. Number one on that list is Cena wins. Business as usual. I'm refusing to get too optimistic.
Even this outcome is probably a stretch but here goes. Vince comes out near the end of the match, looking nervous as hell. History tells us that he's likely gonna "ring the damn bell", and Cena takes notice of this once he regains control of the match, confronts McMahon, and AA's him so that doesn't happen. Unfortunately for him that distraction costs him the match, so that gives us a lovely copout for Cena. Meanwhile a Money in the Bank winner retains the title for the WWE(bonus option of one MITB winner losing to Punk, and McMahon making an exception for a Smackdown MITB winner who ultimately scores the belt). With WWE safe and McMahon feeling cocky after a near scare there, McMahon fires Cena. Of course with the idea that McMahon was really the one to cost Cena the match(as if a justifiable reason for this is necessary), Cena shows up on Raw every week anyways and pisses McMahon off until he gets his job and belt back. WWE returns to normal, mediocrity abound.
