A mole that changes into a mountain ( I know what you're going for and that's a pretty good use of imagery there) would be a strangely specific Transformer. Though it'd still be better than a robot that changes into a building. I mean, a robot that turns into a building? What's fun about that?

Watching the people inside the building that have no idea what's going on, I guess.

It's funny all these agreements about him saying they (TNA) should promote their show as though it were stand alone, the greatest thing on tv. When Hogan and Bischoff were doing this they got crap from umm... Crappers for saying so. Just an observation.
Jerecho is very correct though. When Impact debuted on Spike at eleven o'clock on saturday night Dixie and JJ said they were not going to try and compete but rather be "an alternative" to WWE. The growth they have made in eight years is great but just ask Paul Heyman about too much too soon

This being an actual controversy just shows me how out-of-whack the entire wrestling world really is, honestly.
How long has it been since people could just watch wrestling and either enjoy it or not enjoy it for what it is? Why does crap like this matter?
Again, who really cares? More than that, WHY really care?
You want TNA to succeed or whatever, great, but this silly little 30 second promo has no effect on that.

I know we don't do that on this board but I just wanted to do more than quote your post and leave no reply. Alot of people( i have been guilty as well) get so used to going online and criticizing or anylizing everything on wwe, roh, tna ect. that they forget to enjoy the show ans miss some good stuff that one day they will see on a best of dvd and think "man that was actually cool" and lement not settling down to see the good. Last year for me was great in tna and I must have been the only one who felt that way. I watched live (ok not live but not DVR) wrestling every week because I looked so forward to it I couldn't wait. I hadn't felt that in years. I dropped the pretense and just enjoyed what was there. Not all of it was good but I found it entertaining

Shouldn't the image be the other way around?

The "fans" in the Impact Zone aren't fans, they're tourists. They're the Smith family on vacation looking for an air-conditioned building after getting off Back to the Future: The Ride and somebody tracked them down outside Terminator 2 3-D offering free tickets.

Shouldn't the image be the other way around? Nope. If you're making a mountain out of a mole hill, you have to start with the mole hill.

If this controversy was worth something is revealing how WWE fans are desperate to have a good product and are tired of Cena era. Or how desperate some TNA fans are to take digs at WWE. Not desperate, more like dismay at seeing their actions. I mean, this was ugly. Like a child not getting his candy and throwing a fit.

When did we lose sight of the fact that we're on a discussion forum? Hence, discussing things, especially in the pro wrestling industry. This is a thing, that happened in the pro wrestling industry. I fail to see the problem.

I also remember when TNA was saying how great they were and there were lots of complaint threads on here about it. So which one is it? Personally, I don't see anything wrong with making an off-handed reference to WWE. Hell, I don't see anything wrong with mentioning them outright. If you watch TNA, you know WWE exists so pretending they don't is ridiculous. As for the topic, I love Jericho but I don't agree with his assessment here.

were there a lot of glitches at the NC Impact tapings? I'm seeing a major spoiler in the form of a video and it appears one special segment had some technical difficulties that almost ruin it

I don't see any dismay. I see people taunting WWE fans over the fact that it wasn't Sting, and most people knew it wasn't going to be Sting, and bashing people for thinking a copycat vignette is a copycat vignette whether played for parody or not. No one mentioned Cena, and no one mentioned being dissatisfied in WWE's product in relation to this. All that is stuff you reached for.
