This being an actual controversy just shows me how out-of-whack the entire wrestling world really is, honestly. How long has it been since people could just watch wrestling and either enjoy it or not enjoy it for what it is? Why does crap like this matter? Again, who really cares? More than that, WHY really care? You want TNA to succeed or whatever, great, but this silly little 30 second promo has no effect on that. When did we lose sight of the fact that we're on a discussion forum? Hence, discussing things, especially in the pro wrestling industry. This is a thing, that happened in the pro wrestling industry. I fail to see the problem. That's not a good excuse at all in my book. A pointless discussion about a harmless circumstance that degenerates into vitriol and barbs being flung about haphazardly doesn't fly in my book, "discussion forum" or not. Being a "discussion forum" doesn't mean that just any level of discussion is smiled upon, or even allowed in some cases. There are standards, like them or not. As an earlier post illustrated, this case of "mountains out of molehills" leading to such bitterness drags down the discourse level of this forum, and as one of the forum's mods, I completely disapprove. We're not at rule breaking levels here or anything, but, again, that doesn't just make every hunky dory.

It's funny all these agreements about him saying they (TNA) should promote their show as though it were stand alone, the greatest thing on tv. When Hogan and Bischoff were doing this they got crap from umm... Crappers for saying so. Just an observation. Jerecho is very correct though. When Impact debuted on Spike at eleven o'clock on saturday night Dixie and JJ said they were not going to try and compete but rather be "an alternative" to WWE. The growth they have made in eight years is great but just ask Paul Heyman about too much too soon Quoted for the first paragraph, I didn't want to see that get overlooked. I also remember when TNA was saying how great they were and there were lots of complaint threads on here about it. So which one is it? My memory is not razor sharp from that time, but I seem to remember them ripping on WWE the entire time they were saying TNA is #1. There's a difference between saying, "TNA is an elite organization" and saying "We're better than WWE" which is what they were doing on top of constant digs at WWE programming. Remember Bischoff's famous calls to no one that included such great lines as "Guest hosts? What a stupid idea!"

were there a lot of glitches at the NC Impact tapings? I'm seeing a major spoiler in the form of a video and it appears one special segment had some technical difficulties that almost ruin it I know exactly what you're talking about. There were a few production hiccups here & there.

Of course it's bush league.
TNA has a great roster. They have good staff. They do NOT need to copy the WWE. Note that I said copy, as inspiration is different. If they want to leap off from the WWE approach and do something new with it, great. But they don't. Instead of being the best TNA they can be, they're the second best WWE!

Spot on again from the man himself.
TNA proves exactly what people say time after time after time.

ECW made their company on whining about being held back. Remember Austin and Foley. Remember Shane Douglas shoots about Ric Flair. Jericho is a good little WWE slave. I guess dog poo storyline would make him ask for more of the same. He's been whining about the things in WCW for ages yet it was the place he was at his best. Because working for a company means condoning every angle that they do. And if by "at his best" you mean stagnating in the midcard and being constantly dicked around then yeah.

Really, so they do ONE spot, a minute or less and of questionable intention of one angle, and yet that is a outline OF AN ENTIRE ORGANIZATION! and I swear, I'm pistol whipping the next person who says "Bush league"! You seriously think its just one spot? Their entire existence has been built on being almost a complete parody of WWE. And not an intentional one.

This is exactly what I said to some friends a few months ago. I said that TNA reminds me of a spoof of an actual wrestling show. And I am one of the people here who actually want TNA to succeed, but they won't ever succeed at the rate they are going. WWE creative has been in the toilet for a while, but for some reason TNA hasn't been able to top this. I find myself trying to figure out why that is.

Hey Farva! What's the name of that sports bar you're always going to that has all of the Anheuser-Busch brands of beer on tap and Triple-A baseball games on the big screen tv?......."

![](http://www.doubletake-media.com/movie_of_the_weak_bush_league.jpg) This is one of the first images I found on Google Image Search when I put in "bush league." It sums up TNA nicely at times, I think.

You know, I'm not going to weigh in on Jericho's opinion at all; I'm just going to say that I miss the days of TNA being populated by a KILLER Knockout's division, Tag teams like AMW and XXX, Elix Skipper, and Monty Brown giving us a killer "poooooooooonce--uh! Period!" every week.
THAT is the TNA that I miss. Whatever happened to it?

I will say like, I do like little swipes back and forth, like, if they're subtle. WWE seems to do it better because they reference TNA so seldomly, that anytime they do it, it comes off as surprising and interesting. TNA has had some good ones though, the most recent I remember being Taz saying when Sarita was choking Taylor Wilde with a belt, saying "You can get fired from some companies doing that".
Subtlety is something I love. There is a spectrum I think.
At the bad end of mentioning the other company, it's this angle. At the other end, it's WWE pretending Christian got stuck in another dimension while away for a few years.

That sounds a lot like what you hear TNA bashing smarks say, down to the overuse of the term "bush league". The 3/3/11 thing was a pretty clever rebuke and it's not like the promo was the center of the show. People look for anything to complain about when it comes to TNA.
