I don't know if this has been posted on here yet, but the following is an excerpt from a Chris Jericho interview about TNA's 3/3/11 angle:
'It drives me nuts and I'll tell you the reason why. I am the biggest fan of TNA as a concept. I want them to be huge, Vince wants them to be huge because the more competition there is, it's better for the business, it's better for the boys, it's better is for the fans. I don't understand their obsession with copying the WWE I think it's lame, I think its bush league and I don't get it, they have some of the best talent, some great idea men. Why do they do this? Why do their guys go out there and say 'When I was in the WWE I was left behind and I was held back'. If I was working for TNA I would project that it's the greatest wrestling company in the world because if you're not projecting it, why is anyone going to believe it? When we were in ECW it was small, I never made more than $250 a show but you would die for that company and when you came across that way, the fans came across that way and suddenly you have this underground revolution going on and it was real, it was a revolution, people believed it was the best. No one in TNA believes they are in the best company and if they don't believe it then why am I going to believe it as a fan? Why am I going to buy their product? It's just so bush league, they can do better than that and the guys on top there should know better and it really makes me mad because they're wasting money and they don't have to be wasting money but I'm not burying TNA I'm saying you should be ashamed of yourself because you can do better.'
I agree 100% with Chris Jericho.

Summed it up perfectly.
That is TNA's biggest problem. They have all the potential in the world to be great, and they just keep on squandering it.

Really, so they do ONE spot, a minute or less and of questionable intention of one angle, and yet that is a outline OF AN ENTIRE ORGANIZATION!
and I swear, I'm pistol whipping the next person who says "Bush league"!

Bush league. 2.) It was such a stupid idea on TNA's part. First, they hyped it up as if this was going to be a huge game changer, sending out press releases saying that the end of that episode of Impact would feature the biggest surprise in wrestling history. Second, they delivered with a CARBON COPY of a video that has been airing on WWE tv. 3.) Did I say bush league?

First *pistol whip* Secondly, the only direct copy was the actual date and the effects, the rest was stuff they did before, or was done in promos before. The building was where they had Sting walk around when he was doing the videos for his BFG match with JJ, the rain was around when they did another BFG build up, with everyone in the rain. Hell, even the camera work was stuff they did before, to anyone who say the old PPV intros from 2004/2005.

Jericho has been making these criticisms for a while now, this isn't newly prompted solely in response to 3/3/11.

So, saying you're going to do something to change the wrestling world, and then doing a redo of something that you've done before with the same character in the not so distant past isn't bush league?

I agree with Jericho. TNA needs to just focus on themselves, and avoid any WWE references, spoofs, or rip-offs that can be taken out of context.
TNA needs to hype themselves up more to avoid being called "Bush League" in the eyes of wrestling fans.

Probably not, since the character in question got enough publicity beforehand that could warrant such a build.

They STOLE a spot that aired 3 days earlier. That is bush league. It is WCW 2000-ish. Aside from that, promising "a big earth changing surprise" rougly a dozen times in the last 6 months has been their bread and butter. That would be great, if any of the surprises didnt suck

Agreed. TNA doesn't have the same mystique as WWE but I prefer TNA over WWE. I always watch Impact (Although I fast forward a lot of it) Some weeks I don't bother watching Raw or SD at all

BUSH LEAGUE! And if it were just one thing I'd actually agree with you, but TNA has a very long track record of people trying to tear down WWE instead of building up TNA. Ripping the competition like that is bush league. Bush league of the bushiest bush.

I always watch Impact (Although I fast forward a lot of it) Some weeks I don't bother watching Raw or SD at all I generally prefer TNA Impact to both Raw and Smackdown. I want to see TNA become a serious threat to WWE. However, that doesn't mean that I am unable to call a spade a spade. That was bush league on TNA's part. If WWE ever did a storyline where Kane ran around warning that "they" were coming to take control of the WWE, I would call them on their blatant rip off of a TNA storyline and call it bush league. A spade is a spade.

Bush league.
TNA is capable of coming up with their own material, even if it's awful sometimes. They don't need to copy anybody, yet they do. Bush league. I've said it before & I'll say it again. TNA has an inferiority complex.

I think we all want to see TNA be a bigger threat, but sorry Mikey.....this is just as bush league of TNA as it was bush league of WCW when they did Buzzkill.

No it was, it was a complete ripoff of something else that was going on at the same time. They didn't even attempt to make it original.

Bush League. It's so bush league, that George Bush Sr. and Jr., as well as the band, Bush, are part of this. The bushes in the wooded area next to my house aren't, because it's winter. However, if it was summer, they would be apart of it. Besides, the one spot wasn't his entire argument. His issue was also with WWE guys coming in bitching about their time in WWE. Basically, his issues is with WWE being made to be more important, and the whole 3/3/11 is just another example.
