Everyone on the East Coast from North Carolina to Maine is about to get clobbered. I can't help but notice that the eye wall is going to land....oh about 10 feet from my house. Power loss and flooding ahoy!

I love being in the Great Lakes region. We're pretty much disaster free aside from the occasional blizzard and rare tornado.

Outerbanks are going to get crushed tho', I have some friends who are spending their vacation at OBX, the wives are wanting to split, but the husbands are trying to stay behind to "surf the storm." Love Wilmington BTW, I just recently spent a week at Top Sail Island. I love that whole area of NC.

Yeah it's funny, right now it's a great day out, probably start raining tomorrow and go down hill from there. Right now I'm hoping for "just" tropical storm force winds, depends on the wooble of the storm I suppose.
I haven't seen any mandatory evacuations for my county yet.

I'm on Long Island and I live about 5 minutes from the ocean. This may not end well.

Hopefully it dies down big time by the time it reaches PEI.

Looks like I'll be missing it... i hope we get some residuals, though, as it's been super dry here, lately.

Since they're saying that we in Northern VA are only going to get rain and some wind gusts, I fully expect it to fully kick our ass just to spite the weather people.

Looks like we're going to get the tail-tail end of it when it goes past PA on Sunday. Should be nothing bad, maybe a little windy and some showers, but nothing major like what NYC/New Jersey is going to get.
Either way, stay safe guys!

The 2 Westernmost projections run straight through Harrisburg, so we could get rocked on Sunday.
Or we could get nothing. Who knows?

I just finished getting everything that could get swept up in a hurricane inside the garage for safe keeping.

I'm really terrified of the storm's eyewall moving directly over southern Maryland where I live (i.e. moving straight up the Chesapeake Bay). If it stays just offshore of Ocean City, then it won't be SO bad here (rain, wind, maybe losing power for a few hours), but I'm honestly scared s***less of the worst case scenario happening.
