I don't think it will be that destructive by the time it gets to Maryland. My hometown is far enough from the Bay that we don't really have to worry about flooding around our house, at worst our power will be out for a day I think.
Also, I'm moving back up to college tomorrow afternoon and that county isn't even under the Tropical Storm Warning blanket.

Also, I was doing my college grocery shopping and just kind of rolled my eyes at all these people buying refrigerated goods in bulk. If the power goes out and you don't have a generator that 15 lbs of ground beef you bought isn't going to do you much good.

I'm nervous, I'm djing my cousins wedding tomorrow (today technically) on block island. Unless they change there minds, the last ferry leaves at 2 and there won't be ferry service till atleast Tuesday. My wife and son are home in connecicut and I want to be there with them so bad during the storm.

I just got done finishing putting up the downstairs furniture up on blocks to prevent possible flooding ruining it. I'm gonna run out later to pick up some Flashlights from my sister's house. My whole family is going nuts over it and tempers are shows.
Man, at this point, I don't even care about Irene anymore. It's not the worst thing I can deal with this week anymore.

I love watching those poor clods they have reporting on the storm.
Why do we need a guy right in the middle of the storm to prove there's a storm?

Well, the light rains have stopped here, after starting around 3pm, but the bigger ones are suppose to arrive tomorrow at 7 in the morning. I got a lot of supplies and I have some things to keep me occupied in case the power goes out. My town, though, has a bad habit of being slow on getting power back. I'm hoping the reports of it slowing down to a Tropical Storm when it arrives here are true, but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, the school district has already cancelled the first day of school, Monday. Earliest use of a Snow Day ever. What a joke!

So, I'm in NYC. Decided to get my mind off the storm by doing a freestyle over The Hurricane's WWE theme:

Man, our city is like one big giant grindrail for it. It keeps hitting the edge of us.

By the look of things, hopefully PEI won't be too affected when it creeps up here to the maritimes Sunday night.

It seems like Eastern Florida always misses hurricanes.

Tell the people in tornado alley that tornado alley is to be populated by 8 million people who have never experienced this kind of weather... then let them laff.
