Wow, what's with all the Hogan hate? The guy may politic but he's not a bad guy.
As for the match, it only looks ridiculous if you watch that Oversellous video on youtube. If you just watch the match in full it doesn't look ridiculous at all.

HBK just being the same fit-throwing child that he always has been. Smarks love it because they despise Hogan and will turn a blind eye to Shawn's antics because he's arguably the greatest performer inside the ring.
Unfortunately for Shawn, he was never close to Hogan in popularity and should have just acted like a man instead of getting " his rib" in. People don't pay to see the greatest of all time(Hogan) lose to a guy that was on top for one unimpressive year('96); who probably committed just as much backstage bulls*** in two years than Hogan did in his entire career.

Funny that everyone gets on HBK and calling him unprofessional for that selling, but praised Mr. Perfect for doing a lot of the same during his career. But as I mentioned before, Mr. Perfect/Hennig sold like that for everyone. He sold Tito Santana's offense like he was being hit by Andre the Giant. That is just the way he sold. Michaels hadn't sold like that in years, and even when he did he never got hit with a boot and then get right up to dance around for 10 seconds before playing dead again. Hennig's selling was to make his opponent look good. Shawn's, in this case at least, was not.

Selling like that was not unusual in the 80s with Hogan. I saw nothing wrong with it.

It was brilliant. The most entertaining match Hogan ever had.

WCW went out of business for many, many reasons. To put all the blame on Hulk is ridiculous. In 1994, before they signed Hulk, they were losing money every year and only Ted Turner's devotion kept them afloat. In 1997, with Hulk Hogan on top, WCW experienced their most profitable year ever. What did Hulk Hogan do to you to inspire such hate? Did he not put over your favorite wrestler? Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were more responsible for being on top in 1997 than Hogan was. Someone has been drinking too much Hogan kool aid. The NWO angle would have never taken off as much as it did without Hogan. Hall and Nash have both said so themselves in multiple interviews. Name one person that could have been the "third man" that would have done more for the angle than Hogan. I can tell you as a die hard WCW fan that no one could have taken Hogan's place in that angle and had nearly the amount of impact on it that he had.

I don't give a crap about Hogan, I just honestly found the match hilarious. If the same thing happened between Michael Cole and Primo I would find it just as... ...actually I think if someone oversold Cole's punches I would find it even more hilarious than the Hogan/Shawn thing. But seriously, my point is that I don't give a crap who was in the match. I found it funny because it was funny.

I don't understand why people keep bringing up Mr. Perfect to justify what Shawn did.
They did the same rope bump yes but Mr. Perfect never took a big boot and proceeded to get up from it and stumble around like he was walking on hot coals for several seconds before taking a bump again. He also didn't shake a guy's hand after the match to make a big moment and then get on the mic and shit all over the match the following night.

I was actually talking about this in the TNA forum last week. While it was funny, it was also completely unprofessional on HBK's part. Honestly, whether Hogan backed out of the rematch or not, HBK shouldn't have pulled that stunt. Literally, if anyone else lower in the card had done the same they would've been given their walking papers.
And really, the only reason people continue to try and justify Shawn's antics is because he did it to Hogan.

Michaels got his BS thrown back at him and acted like a 3 year old.
Just put the guy over and leave. He's Hulk Hogan, you're not.

Totally unprofessional.
If Shawn was a real "born again christian", he would never have done a thing like that.

If you think about it, Hogan probably could have played HBK at his own game if he wanted to. Shawn seems like the type that can dish it out but not take it, and it seems really easy to push his buttons. Hogan could have not sold ANY of Shawn's offence and got in several stiff shots or something to make HBK sell for real. He took the highroad though, so kudos.

Hogan was unprofessional to begin with refusing to job to Michaels. f*** Hogan.
Shawn got back in his own hilarious way, I applaud him. It didn't sound like Vince was angry.

He's being booked as a special attraction, where's the logic in that? He puts over another old guy? It's not like the Orton match where there's some future investment in it.

I'm on HBK's side on this one. Hogan got what he deserved for being a douche.
Would anyone else have gotten canned for such antics? Probably, or fined and suspended, at least. But then, would Hogan have agreed to wrestle anyone much less than HBK's caliber?
Yes, HBK did plenty of douchey things in his day, but the only thing I can say is that he did change and did apologize for most of the stuff he did and did put plenty of people over during his last run.

He sure made WCW a lot of money...oh wait no he didn't....he sure took care of that Graziano situation, ehhh no he didn't....he sure has taken care of his family and made sure they grew up with out any issues....oh wait no he didn't ....at least he can provide for them financially...oh no, his wife is doing that on his dime for him....He's really making big thing happen for TNAIpmact....oh no, guess not that either...BUT at least he's out there making those wishes from his good ol' unselfish heart....oh wait no, he's getting obligated to do so and being compensated on top of that.....Yeah he's a real jam up guy. His kids aren't exactly on the Jerry Springer show. His daughter failed at her dream. What a basket case she must be!!! Nick Hogan was in a horrible car accident. Was it his fault? Yes. Unfortunately, that happens every day. Every 60 seconds, someone is killed in a car accident and someone else is at fault. That could honestly happen to anybody. His son probably learned from his father that he could do what he wanted without consequence or I should put that in Hogan jailhouse carny talk. Hizz sizzon prizzobizzablizzy lizzearnizzed frizzom hizz fizzathizzer thizzat hizze cizzould dizzo whizzat hizze wizzantizzed wizzisthizzout cizzonsizzeqizzuencizze. Michaels' kids still have a few years to go before we see if they learned from their father how to get what they want or get away with bad behavior.

I thought it was funny but goes to show Shawn is still Shawn, no matter how much he claims & WWE spins that he's a changed man.

I find it hilarious that people expect Wrestlers to be 100% the way you expect them to be all the time. Like Hogan is a 100% horrible person with no redeeming factors, and if Shawn does anything suspicious "he's not being sincere" in his beliefs.
They're men in their 40/50's rolling around in spandex in a fake competition. God forbid they get a bit immature, and do something stupid and unprofessional every now and then.
Let's just blindly attack their characters as men and question their values and sincerity to their beliefs.

I think it's a tad unfair to just say he hasn't changed his spots (or is it stripes? I never know) just based on this one incident. By all accounts, he still attends church weekly, raises his family well and has become drug free, not to mention nobody minus the extremely reliable Shane Helms has reported any stories of the classic HBK douchebag behavior going on backstage since his 2002 return. It's not like converting to Christianity means he now has to sprout wings and a halo and turn water into wine. He's a human being with a bad temper, is all.
Edit: Also, what JMoney said.
