Apparently They liked to Book Austin running in on Jeff Jarrett segments and stunning him. It's like the 4th time this has happend in a year Which still boggles my mind that if Steve never planned on feuding with him (Jarrett said in one of his reintroduction soundbites that using Austin 3:16 was blasphemous and ripping off the Bible for financial gain; so Steve said he'd never work a program with Jeff if that's how he felt), why even do those segments? Just to let off steam?

If I were in my mid-20s and watching WCW circa 96/97, like I am right now, I'd hate literally every single member of the NWO except for Scott Hall.

I'm not gonna lie, if I was Steve Austin, after that promo and after the heat they had in Memphis ("It ain't gonna get bigger by starin' at it!"), I can't blame Austin at all for wanting to bury Jarrett. What a shitty, shitty character he had in both WCW and WWF around this time too.

december 29, 1997. the day after starrcade. tony schiavone suggests that young males aged 18-25 make up the majority of nWo fans. fair enough. however, he then brags that since wcw beat nwo fans, the nwo fans should STOP WATCHING AND CHANGE THE CHANNEL, weirdly and specifically suggesting they watch space ghost coast 2 coast on cartoon network. i take back anything positive i ever said about him. he told a specific portion of the audience to watch something different. that's a very, very dumb thing to do, tony.

True definition of a PPV rematch: Taka Michinoku and The Great Sasuke at Canadian Stampede and again the next night in Edmonton for Raw.
Was practically the exact same match!

He was just a big Space Ghost fan and wanted to ensure it welfare

The IC title tournament in 1997 flat-out sucks. DQ...DQs everywhere. And Sgt. Slaughter has to be the most inept commissioner of all time. Hired to prevent chaos and there's a deluge of it after he's hired. Should have called up Gen. Adnan to help out.

Halloween Havoc 99 has a fan holding a "suplexcity.com" sign. It's visible during the DDP/Flair strap match.

Week 2 of Lilian Garcia's tenure sees her screwing up the winner of a Mankind vs. Mean Street Posse handicap match. Because the stipulation is that if Mankind wins, he gets a WWF title shot, there's a huge difference between Mankind winning by DQ and the Posse winning by DQ.

1993-1994 Missy Hyatt is a dead ringer for Miley Cyrus (if Miley had any semblance of a body/curves)

Watching early Nitros made me realise that Ric Flair's career was playing out like a Road to Wrestlemania video game storyline:
Week 1: Flair vs Arn Week 2: Flair vs Arn... in a cage! Week 3: Flair vs Arn & Pillman (Sting helps!!...) Week 4: Flair vs Sting
etc..

Summer Rae was originally given a different name (Kylie Summers), but Dusty told her it sucked (she agreed but didn't want to cross management), and that he'd call WWE himself to go to bat for her about changing it. Saw that edition of Unfiltered, got a smile out of her Dusty impression. Also, when Summer and Renee were joking about being married, anyone else have this picture pop into their heads?

culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/wcw-superbrawl-5/#.VerxEPlVikoIn the annuals of bad PPVs, this one is certainly under rated... Hogan vs. Vader headlines with Macho Man and Sting faces Avalanche and Big Bubba in the co-main event. Before that you have to survive through Hacksaw Duggan vs Bunkhouse Buck, Dave Sullivan vs. Kevin Sullivan, a listless Harlem Heat/Nasty Boys encounter, Paul Roma facing Alex Wright and Dustin Rhodes butting heads with the Blacktop Bully. This PPV also featured the first event Bobby Heenan was ever audibly hammered during...so uh...there's that....

There's quite a few from late-1994 into 1995 I rated like that. If I fell asleep, I'd ask how many matches I was out for.

I never knew how good the build to Hogan/Andre build for Wrestlemania III was. I'm watching Prime Time from Nov/Dec 86 now, and the whole way it's being slowly built is just great. First, it's announced that Andre's suspension has been lifted, and Heenan spends the whole episode dodging any attempt to talk about it. Then, Jack Tunney mentions that Heenan was at the hearing where the suspension was lifted, and now Heenan is dodging even more questions. I'd seen the Piper's Pit segments where Andre turned, but never knew they did all this stuff even prior to that.
