WHAT? OH MY GOD! THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! IT MUST BE TRUE! Did you hear that? His friend CONFIRMED HIS RETIREMENT. HIS FRIEND! SHE COULD HAVE BEEN FAMOUS FOR......something.....BUT LUCKY SHE DODGED THAT BULLET! And how dare that child try to give his hero candy on Easter? CM Punk is a busy man. He's trying to take time off! CM Punk can't go anywhere! He's the biggest star in wrestling! No one knows his pain! It's not like any other wrestler or celebrity gets that kind of attention. Seriously, though, I think this is a bit much. I don't know if Punk is that famous. If anything, John Cena would have it worse, but he keeps on going somehow. Plus, unless Punk says anything, I don't really wanna buy it. I really like CM Punk the wrestler, but it kind of irks me how he never asked to be released so he could get merchandise money, but doesn't want to wrestle. At least be the bold, outspoken guy you got famous for being and make a decision. If he really is tired, he should let people know or something, I don't know. Well, whatever. I'm not sure what to make of it, but anyways, what do you think? As usual, all aboard the Comment Express with your Comment Conductor and GO FOR IT IN THE COMMENTS.

The WWE treats their on-air talent like disposable toys. Anyone who gets one up on them is okay in my book.
And yes, I'm sure being even as minorly famous as Punk is has extremely annoying consequences. Getting semi-stalked is scary, and it's okay for someone to complain about it. The fact that it happens worse to other people doesn't change a thing.
All that said, there's no way in hell Punk's retired.

Probably not true.
If it were though, I wouldn't miss him.

Slater is a vegan chef who has a cookbook called "Bake and Destroy", for which Punk wrote the forward. She was claiming to boycott Wrestlemania 30 even after it became obvious that Bryan was going to the main event, and, not surprisingly, she defends Punk's decision to walk out .

I realize the kid had good intentions, but Id be pissed if someone crammed a bunch of chocolate through my mail slot. I have a dog that would probably eat it if I wasn't home to tell him no. Then he'd die.
As for the people in the alley of his house, that's sad. If a celebrity doesn't want you knocking on their front door, why would they want you hanging around the back of their house? If you don't treat celebrities with respect, then you aren't much of a fan.

Seriously, if I walked out my back door to take the trash out and there were people hanging out in my yard, I'd either call the cops or start cussing people out at the very least. The candy thing, while a sweet gesture from a child to their hero...what parent says "I know he's your favorite, so I'm going to find out where he lives and we're going to his front door!"

He's not gonna top the match he had with Cena in Dallas, so I can see why he's able to comfortably walk away.

I don't feel sorry for celebrities. It is a part of their job to deal with this kind of stuff. It is just the price to pay for fame.

I think him saying he's "Tired" would be looked down upon by the boys in the back, since some of em have been going for like 2 decades without much breaks or whining.

Punk strikes me as the sort of guy who wants all the perks of being a famous, successful pro wrestler, like being over and having the respect and admiration of your peers, but at the same time wants his private life to be completely private, which is just not gonna' happen when you're one of the most recognizable wrestlers from the biggest wrestling company on the planet. For a guy who revitalized his career essentially by bitching about his position on the card, you'd think Punk would be a bit more prepared for the "drawbacks" of a main event spot, like being recognized in public.
Really, Punk makes more money in a year than most of his fans will see in their lives. The least he could do is maybe be a bit more gracious to the people who got him to that point. I know fans can be overbearing sometimes (the incidents in the OP being good examples) but Punk's the only guy I've basically never heard a positive thing about from people encountering him outside of shows and signings.
This is all a bit off-topic, of course - if he's retired than good for him - but this whole "pity the poor celebrity, they have it hard too!" sentiment is bullshit regardless of who it's coming from.

He's mentioned her on air before, and I believe she was on his DVD. She's a credible source, I'd imagine.

I guess Paul Heyman's client, Brock Lesnar, not only conquered the streak at WrestleMania but also retired the 7 time world champion, the Undertaker.
I do find it hilarious to picture Undertaker walking around Target as one of those 'extreme coupon' people

And to think that CM Punk wanted to be the next Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold, to have a massive boom era with him at the center of it?
Realize that he almost succeeded in mid-2011. At that time I really wanted CM Punk to be a massive megastar, I guess WWE realized he couldn't handle it, and only let him be the #2 star in the company.

Regarding the Punk situation, if he's retired, then good luck to him.
