Cena clearly isn't at 100% by NOC, yet he musters a bit more fighting spirit than the Summerslam match. In the end, same result. Brock demolishes Cena, and now with the inconvenience of the rematch clause out of the way, Brock is free to set his own schedule, and any further defenses are rare, marquee events. This allows him to skip a PPV while the roster builds up the next opponent, you spotlight the IC title for a month as the top prize and put a good fued behind it, and you have Rusev mock Cena until he recovers and put a program together for them at Survivor Series.
Brock has to keep the belt until Mania, and whomever challenges him has to be the "last hope" to get the belt off him. I'd like it to be Cesaro (there's a baked-in story with Heyman as the common link), but if it's Reigns, so be it. Resolve the MITB issue after Mania, Rollins can work 2-3 programs in the meantime.

16 tiger suplexes, and f5 the kid if he keeps yelling. If Cena wins Vince is senile

Is it a "No suplex match" ? Otherwise I don't see how Cena will win, Seth tries to cash in, Ambrose returns and screws up the cash in. Ambrose steals briefcase? Nah, I actually thinks he ruins the cash in. They ring the bell, right as Rollins is about to go for the cover Ambrose comes through the crowd and beats Seth up and that way he gets DQ'd, no belt for Seth, no more briefcase, more fuel on the feud.

Back to the status quo again with Cena. Seriously is it too much to ask for the WWE to be creative and actually roll with the prospect of Lesnar being champion? I don't think the problem isn't so much Lesnar as champion so much as it is that WWE doesn't view many people as being "worthy" of sharing screen time with Brock. If I were booking the show, I'd have people on all levels of the card stepping up to Brock and falling one by one, but WWE only wants to book Lesnar for "dream matches" so that makes their options limited.

Erm.... why?
Brock just beat Cena pretty darn convincingly. In what way is a rematch warranted?
Stupid decision. Keep Brock away from NOC for now. Maybe have a #1 contenders match instead.

It has to be a gimmick match, Cena wouldn't stand a chance otherwise. My guess is Cena counters the German Suplex and does the Rope Tie STF he did to Umaga to make Lesnar pass out rather than pin/submit.

Someone mentioned something about Cena beating Lesnar and Rollins cashing in afterward.
How about this: Lesnar defeats Cena after another hard-fought battle. He's exhausted. He's disorientated.
An opportunistic Rollins runs down with both HHH and Kane. They egg him on and get the ref to count the 1-2-3.
At the 2, Lesnar kicks out. Rollins is shocked. HHH and Kane are left in disbelief. Heyman's going ballistic at this point. Lesnar gets up, annihilates Rollins and then proceeds to put both HHH and Kane on the shelf for good (their farewell in-ring appearances) before destroying Rollins. Lesnar and Heyman leave.
Lights go off.
Ambrose is standing in the ring over a fallen Rollins.

Strange move. I mean there are three outcomes and none of them sound very good to me.
1. Cena wins. This would be the most stupid decision WWE could make in years. But I like to believe WWE have more sense than that.
2. Lesnar wins a hard fought match. This just makes the one sided match from Summerslam like like it was an off night for Cena. This result would do more to protect Cena than help Lesnar. Cena does not need this protection.
3. Lesnar destroys Cena again. I wouldn't mind watching that but it would be a risk having two squash main events on two ppvs in a row.
I don't think we need to see Lesnar/Cena straight away again.

Here's how I see it, the ONLY way I see it working.
Cena is in denial. He will say he had a bad night and Brock just got the best of him. He will then be shown training, using his "Never Give Up" Montra, and even may make it a "I Quit Match" to show that Brock may beat him down but Cena will never quit.
Then NOC comes around, and whether it be another regular match or an I Quit, Brock destroys him AGAIN, and this just literally breaks Cena. Cena just silently leaves for a few months, and comes back a completely different person, not a heel, just without the stupid slogans, shirts, catchphrases. This is a Cena that just wants to fight, without any of the baggage. A much more serious Cena, which is what the character needs
This would literally be the STUPIDEST DECISION WWE has ever made, maybe aside from the XFL or something but I can't think of many worse, if Cena wins, or takes Brock to the wire so soon after looking completely outclassed and completely dominated. Especially how they've built up Brock this year. It just believably couldn't go any other way, but WWE has proven me wrong before on how stupid they can be so.... we'll see.

If the plan is to have Lesnar drop the belt at Mania to Reigns or Bryan, than you have to do something with him until then. There's 6 more PPVs until Mania. He needs 6 matches. A rubber match with Cena was obviously going to be one of them. Leaves him with 5 more matches before Mania. You could basically pull from any of Sheamus, Orton, Jericho, Show, Ambrose, Ziggler, or maybe even RVD or Cesaro for HIAC, Survivor Series, TLC, & The Rumble. Have Lesnar barely threatened in any of those matches. Put him in the Chamber and have him enter last and eliminate everyone in dominating fashion. Sends him into Mania with the belt and looking absolutely untouchable. The challenge is to book interesting feuds for the undercard if the main event is just going to be Lesnar destroying someone. Exactly. Besides who could they build up to even be remotely credible by the next PPV. Just watch for the recently repushed midcarder that starts winning matches next. He'll be the sacrificial lamb after Cena. The way things look, I could see them doing RVD/Orton/Reigns at Night of Champions with the winner getting the shot at HIAC. RVD gets the win, and then gets slaughtered at HIAC and disappears again. Night of Champions seems to be set with all the titles on the line. RVD/Lesnar fills a spot at HIAC, while Orton/Reigns and Ambrose/Rollins can headline in cell matches to blow off their feuds. They'll probably want a big Lesnar match at Survivor Series, so Batista would make sense for that slot and would probably grab them some good mainstream buzz. TLC could be a brawl with Sheamus or Reigns, with the other getting the match at the Rumble. That sends Lesnar to dominate at Elimination Chamber, and then Bryan/Lesnar at Mania. The bonus to that is that it keeps Cena out of the title hunt for 6 months before you potentially have him get involved again after Mania. And with Lesnar holding the belt, you can play up Rollins never gets any chance to even consider cashing in until after Bryan wins at Mania.

The mystique of Lesnar is he DOES NOT defend the title every month, he simply does not need to. Let the roster cowl with fear as they reluctantly fight amongst themselves to face him next.
Cena was annihilated. But he's back next week with some "rousing" promo about rising above hate and overcoming the odds because he loves the WWE Universe and isn't a mercenary, and how Lesnar as champion cheapens the title.
A rematch at the very next PPV is so illogical.

Every champion gets a rematch, so it makes sense.
Story idea: Cena comes back still hurt, puts up more hope spots, but Lesnar still decisively canes him. Cena can be written out for a month or two whilst he does promotional work and/or actually takes time off before he returns a few months later AWAY from the title scene.
Makes Lesnar seem like a beast again, Cena in kayfabe can't complain about not getting a rematch, and then it allows the WWE to line up the next challenger for Lesnar.

Cena is going to win the title back, probably in a way that makes Lesnar still look credible. Lesnar will then beat the shit out of Cena, and Rollins will cash in the MITB briefcase. I really can't see the match ending any other way, though I hope the WWE proves me wrong.

Something to watch for...if they don't really touch on or hammer home the whole "Cena trying to tie Flair's record" thing. He ain't winning.
When he does win #16 it's going to be a BIG deal. At least they're going to make it one.

If Cena goes from being destroyed to having an even match it will be a bit unrealistic.
How about it's booked as a no DQ match. Cena knows he can't win a straight one on one or even compete with Lesnar so he uses every weapon imaginable to even the odds. Chairs, kendo sticks, chain, steel steps, tables etc. Brock knows he is alot more powerful and using weapons isn't really his thing so he just fights his normal game. At least this way the fight could be a 50/50 battle and wouldn't have to be another squash. Lesnar would still win of course. But if booked properly it could be a great match.

The WWE WHC has to be defended at Night of CHAMPIONS. It has to, every title is on the line. This is the one PPV where Lesnar has to have a match between now and WrestleMania technically speaking. That's why he's competing, and Cena has a "rematch clause". Stop overreacting.

The second the ref's hans countes the three, I called it: Cena regains the title at Night of Champions.
I'm also calling this: there will be dozens of "Wait and see how it plays out!" posts and threads around here.
