Well, we all know he has been hate for numerous things over his career? What calendar year takes the cake for you?
1995 - Annoying mid-card heel debuts. Quietly aligns with the Kliq. 1996 - Curtain call. Then buried for parts of the year. Then Intercontinental Champion. 1997 - King of the Ring. Annoying DX. Rumors he wanted to hold down Rocky Maivia. 1998 - Degenerate face. Really stuck in the mid-card for the most part. 1999 - Turns heel. Some say WWE forced him down our throats until we accepted him. Won world title 2 times. 2000 - Dominate year. But some say he didn't put over new talent. Jericho loses. Angle-Steph-HHH storyline only made HHH look good. 2001 - Not much really. Had his working boots on the first 5 months or so. Tears quad. 2002 - Comes back huge. Wins Rumble. Wins at Wrestlemania. Undisputed Champion. Then "handed" World title. The era begins.... 2003 - Reign of Terror. Buries EVERYONE in sight. 2004 - After dropping the title feuds with Michaels, Eugene and then gets it back against Orton. Some say he killed Orton's run. 2005 - Put over Batista the first part. Feuds with Flair the 2nd part. 2006 - Feuds with Cena. Reunites DX. Fans are divided. 2007 - Torn quad yet again. Comes back destroys Booker, wins world title from Orton. Once again, people say he killed Orton's run. 2008 - WWE Champion. On Smackdown feuding with the likes of Khali. 2009 - Feuds with Orton. Just kind of does nothing much after. 2010 - Feuds with Sheamus. Semi-Retirement 2011 - The year that probably pisses everyone off the most. Hijacks the Summer of Punk. Hires Kevin Nash. Defeats Punk, killing him dead. 2012 - Feuds with Undertaker. Feuds with Lesnar. 2013 - Defeats Lesnar who some say had no business taking a loss to HHH. Nothing but ego here according to some. 2014 - Daniel Bryan is being held down. HHH did put him over, but what a long tedious drawn out storyline. 2015 - Defeats Sting, who some said killed his momentum out right.
So what year takes the cake for you?

2002 when he couldn't work anymore and RAW revolved around him.

Never really had a hatred for the guy, to be honest. Maybe 2013 in a storyline sense for screwing over Bryan so many times, but beyond that... *shrug*

In defence, Trips beating Sting is the right choice. Triple H is the guy who is going to stick around regularly and, more than likely will have matches against the occasional main event/future top face like Reigns or Bryan. Makes sense for him to win that one and keep looking strong rather than give the win to Sting when he might not wrestle again.

2011. It seems to me like perhaps Mr. H was threatened by Punk's rise? They were getting exposure, things were looking up, then all of a sudden next thing I know he eats a pedigree at Night of Champions. WTF? ZOMG!

Ive never hated him. There have been times when I been a bit annoyed by him winning (Sting, Lesnar, Booker T), but those victories never made him dislike HHH. He has always been one of my favourite heels in wrestling. Some people hate the 'Reign of Terror' but its actually one of my favourite reigns. Its one of the few lengthy reigns by heels that I have enjoyed (Cm Punk is another, Rollins reign is terrible). I was also a big Evolution fan so loved it when they were dominating Raw with all the belts etc

I don't really HHHate, there are instances of months where he annoys me.
Vince on the other hand, 2007.

I'm kind of well-known for this, really going from one extreme to the other. Triple H was my favourite wrestler from about 1997 until mid-2003 when he was replaced by Randy Orton, during the Reign of Terror when I began to loathe everything about him and everything he did. I hated him up until he became a part-timer. These days my feelings on Triple H are complicated.

I'm still sour grapes about his victory over Orton at Mania 25. The IWC was up in arms over his burials of Booker and Punk, but Trips buried Orton TWICE (2004, 2009) and still loves to make him look like a chump on occasion.

I never hated him , It just annoys me when they act like he's a bigger deal than he really is ( wrestling career wise )

HHHate is blown out of proportion. Yes, things were bad in 2003 and he's certainly done a few dumb things since then. But I wouldn't say he's the worst person in the business. If you look at everything in the OP (which only includes his "bad" stuff), the only bad things he's actually done were the Reign of Terror and getting involved in the Summer of Punk. Outside of that, everything is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

I'd say 2008.
As annoying as the reign of terror is to a lot of people, it worked for me since he really made the WHC look good by treating it like it was the most important thing ever, and outside of a couple feuds..most of the people he feuded with such as Nash, Steiner, and I'll even say RVD...they didn't deserve the title at that time. On top of that, Smackdown had so much to counteract that if you didn't like it.
Now 5 years later in 2008? Dude is in even worse shape, is a babyface, has more shitty feuds and is made to look good at every possibility while being given an extremely long reign. At least he was a heel in 2003...but here it was insufferable. He pretty much sabotaged Hardy by not putting him over for the title when he was clearly ready for it.
2011 is a close second for squashing Punk's heat and making it about himself.
2013 for the BS with Brock..again needlessly going over for no reason.
And then this year with Sting. Triple H is just a tiring wrestler and isn't the same guy he was even 12 years ago, but still finds ways to go over when he shouldn't.

The IWC was up in arms over his burials of Booker and Punk, but Trips buried Orton TWICE (2004, 2009) and still loves to make him look like a chump on occasion. This doesn't get talked about enough. I remember in 2004, I was 13 and Orton was winning me over slowly but steadily. After Vengeance of that year and the great match with Edge on that show, I was chomping at the bit for Orton to be in the main event picture. It happened...then it only lasted a month. Sure, Orton did some good stuff while not in the main event but it still sucked. Cut to 2009, I'm a massive Orton/Legacy fan, my brother and I make the pilgrimage from small town Wyoming to Seattle for No Way Out 2009 for my birthday. He's a lapsed fan at the time so I do my best to get him hyped. After the show, he's sold on Orton and wants to see him beat Triple H at Wrestlemania. The time comes, we get together and order the show...and Triple H wins. My brother stopped following again for a while after that and I started getting even more jaded. And don't even get me started on '11.

I've never hated Paul Levesque the man, but I disliked HHH the heel on numerous occasions. I've also disagreed with some of his booking here an there, but not enough to say "f*** Triple H"

I cannot remember what year this was but it was the year that the McMahon-Helmsley/DX reign of terror happened. I was only like 9 years old at the time and always hated Triple H for some reason it was like a gut instinct hatred thing, even when he was a face. After reading all the backstage stories about him I've concluded I'm a good judge of character ha.
But after seeing how he's trying to change WWE for the better nowadays, I respect the man.

The high point for me was Bad Blood 2003. Not only was the cage match with Kevin Nash garbage, but he won AGAIN. That was when I gave up on RAW completely and switched to SD! until 2006.

I'm not a HHHater, I like him a lot actually, but I have to say 2003 was the year when I disliked him the most because his in-ring work was so subpar that year. The feuds with Steiner, Nash and Goldberg were all complete duds, boring promos and sluggish matches, and I'll not even get started on the Booker T feud. Luckily working with HBK brought him back to form.

Count me in on the never hated the guy people. Hell, he's arguably one of my favorites of all time. I hated him incredibly as a heel post-Shawn/beginning main event push, but that was heel hate, which is the mark of a good heel. When he was injured, I'd miss him and be glad when he came back. 2003 was overkill and thats the year I voted for, but even the Reign of Terror was far more enjoyable than all of Cena's runs once he became SuperCena. At least the Reign of Terror came to an end.
