I remember a fan ran in on Jericho and shoved him. Jericho attacked him on screen for a second then it went to dark for bikertaker's entrance.

Unless you have a suicide wish.
Crowd jumping a Beock Lesnar match would be the ultimate needy no no.

Jericho also punches female fans in the face too. That's cowardly. Correction. He punched a female fan in the face, who harassed and pretty much assaulted him while he was trying to leave. I'm sorry, but if you if you're going to do something like that, don't expect someone to just let you without any consequence. An adult fan should've known better than to try and harass a wrestler based on their in ring persona. Just because she's a female doesn't make her immune from people's rights to defend themselves, either. I know Chris Jericho is universally hated here, but can we stop painting him as some blood thirsty violent brute because of an isolated incident and his comments here? I have to agree with him. It's basically like getting into a lion's cage at the zoo. Anyone should know exactly what they're getting into, so they have no one to blame but themselves. Would it be preferable for these things to end in no violence? Yes. That doesn't mean that the wrestlers are the villains for defending themselves though. A fan who's ballsy enough to do something like that could be capable of many things, so I don't think they get a free pass just because they're "just a fan". Remember, Mark Chapman was just a fan too.

I always figured it was one of the main rules to remember as a fan. Don't hop the railing unless you want to get your ass kicked.
I don't blame them one bit for striking a fan that gets in the ring. With all the crazy random violence that goes on these days, you really can't tell if they're just overzealous or if they have something more sinister planned.

No he was already in his car he could have left he got back out to be an asshole I posted the video That entire incident was the fault of security at the arena and not Jericho. The security allowed fans to literally surround his vehicle and create a very unsafe environment. Jericho was in danger and the video shown is a very small clip that doesn't show the whole story. Jericho tried to leave but was unable to. He got out of his car to try and tell people to get out of the way because he didn't want to hurt anyone. When he did this the woman got extremely close to him. At that point you have no idea what her intentions were and he had every right to protect himself. As it was he was a sitting duck in his vehicle and was surrounded. Jericho has written about and commented on the incident openly and does a very good job explaining the situation. I know Jericho is hated quite badly on these boards right now but I will defend Jericho any day regarding that incident. Had security done its job this never would have been an issue.

Blows my mind that there are people who try to fault Jericho for that incident at that arena. It's seriously astonishing.

And no one was coming at him aggressively until he punched a woman in the face. Its all in the video. I dont care what Jericho claims after the fact. Video is proof. Jercho hit a woman and got into his car before a man could kick his ass. He is a coward. Or just way to dedicated to kayfabe

Didn't wwe used to debut wrestlers by having them come through the crowd? I seem to remember Santino being one example. Likely alcohol/lack of intelligence makes people think that's their shot at becoming a wrestler. Santino didn't jump the barricade. Vince chose him out of the crowd to fight Umaga for an open challenge for the IC Belt.

That video doesn't even show half of the incident. The video is nowhere near proof as it doesn't show the entire incident, just a very very small part of it. That it total crap to say that no one was coming at him considering people were hitting on his vehicle and people did try and get to him before the video started. He simply got out to tell people to get out of the way so he could leave. once he did that the woman got within five feet of him and he was in danger at that point (and in reality he was in danger long before that when people surrounded his vehicle). No way for him to know if any of the fans were armed. Once your vehicle is surrounded and people are hitting it you are in danger. People were being very aggressive towards him. Sorry but Jericho is not guilty here and calling Jericho a coward is total crap. He has a right to defend himself and the fans were 100% in the wrong in this situation. If security does their job this entire incident is avoided.

IIRC, there's a story that involved Heenan & Bockwinkle, where they got so much heat a fan started shooting.
I just think WWE don't want THAT to happen.

Ya know, here is a crazy idea: how about fans stop thinking they can push around, harass, annoy, assault, and generally treat the wrestlers like trained circus monkeys? Maybe show them the respect they deserve just as human beings, let alone as grown ass men and women putting their well being on the line for our entertainment? And maybe, just maybe we won't have to debate whether some dipshit fans running into the ring or surrounding a car and refusing to let people leave or punching them when they are working an angle or anything else like that deserves an ass beating.
Oh and running from a gang beating isn't cowardice, being in the crowd is.

People do stupid things like run into the ring because our society rewards stupidity. When Caitlin Upton botched that question during the Miss Teen USA pageant she ended up doing a couple of segments on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and when that idiot in Chicago jumped out of the stands to catch a football he ended up on the David Letterman Show. Quit rewarding these idiots!
Chris Jericho mentions that cops have told him that if a fan gets in the ring he is allowed to beat the shit out of them. You are allowed to defend yourself but if a fan is on the ground helpless you can't just keep beating him.

Man, people have turned against Jericho to the point where they're defending people hijacking a show and potentially endangering the performers.

Defending himself from people who are trying to harass him for no reason is cowardly. Being in a mob and ganging up on one person isn't cowardly, though? I don't understand this "he hit a woman" argument. I know we live in a PC world, but come on, people. Are we really supposed to let people endanger us just because they're a different gender?

He punched a woman in the face and Ra from the men that's pretty much the definition of a coward Gender doesn't matter in this instance. He punched a fan who was harassing him and got within a few feet of him. The punch was done in self defense. When a fan gets that close to you they present a HUGE risk to the performer who has every right to defend himself. There was no way for him to know if the woman had a weapon or not and there is no reason for him to take that chance. Jericho got back into his car because there was a large number of people who were surrounding his vehicle. He was anything but a coward. The only ones who were cowards were the ones who decided to surround a wrestlers vehicle and not let him leave while beating on his vehicle and harassing him.

The point is, Jericho is far from being a coward for defending himself and avoiding a potentially dangerous situation.
