For a 52-year old wrestler, he's not bad. However, he should probably NOT be the NWA World Champion. He's rather clunky in the ring and doesn't have a good flow. I was totally expecting a title change.

He is decent. Seen him live at least 10 times.

I was totally expecting a title change. Aldis would have made a much better champion, much younger, better in the ring and marketable overseas. Tim Storm isn't nearly as bad as I expected after how I heard he obtained the title(basically buying it), but if Corgan wants the NWA to move forward he needs a real champion who is marketable, talented and young with the ability to draw.

I just finished watching. Not knowing what to expect, I can say I enjoyed the match. One spot was obviously not as smooth as they would have liked, but they haven't had a month of house shows together to get comfortable with each other.

Without the death match stuff Tremont is a pretty good brawler and Janela is pretty cool, but his end game is to go to the WWE. Not sure if you want to put a belt on him if he'll jump ship the moment a contract is put out for him

For me, Aldis losing to Storm weakens Aldis since Storm is a virtual unknown prior to his title win. I am actually intrigued by all these challenges. I hope the NWA has Storm defend against various indy guys. Out of all the ones I've seen, MJF would make for an interesting champion. He's a natural heel and gets great heat.

I don't think the NWA wants to be affiliated with GCW. They'll have flashbacks of aligning themselves with a similar promotion haha

Storm winning was probably the right call. Aldis is nothing special, and he's got major TNA/GFW stank on top of that. Storm might not be a world beater, but he's come off really likeable, and has a really nice and relocatable story of the small town every man making good. If their goal is to put the belt on Aldis, they need to seriously build him up, and/or give him a strong heel to take it off.

I will say he looks a lot younger than 52 even if that isn't saying that much.

No. They have to build Storm up before beating him. Despite being a veteran and the champ, The NWA must be aware that, in the eyes of the wrestling fans, he is the lesser name.

He's 52 right? Old enough to have worked for WWF, WCW or ECW in the 90s or 00s. And yet, until now no one's ever heard of this guy.
He's basically a softball player who the closest he got to the majors was attending a minor league game.
