Why did Bundy never make any appearances in WWF / WWE after 1995?

Why did Bundy never make any appearances in WWF / WWE after 1995? From what I can tell, Bundy had enough money saved up that if he didn't want to leave home, he didn't have to, and apparently him and WWE were never on great terms later on in his life.

Turns out Enzo isn't the only moron Came to this post and was expecting that Sabu or some idiot had said something dumb and/or tasteless again. (Mercifully, as I remembered, Sabu was suspended from Twitter anyway) /Did think Big Show looked like a bigger Bundy when bald and having the black singlet.

He was a great talker. Go watch some of his promos from Dallas/World Class.

RIP. When I first got into wrestling, he just happened to make his comeback to WWF. I remember watching a Superstars and him demanding the five count from the ref.
At the same time, the local video store I was able to rent from had WWF tapes that just happened to feature him prominently.
He was always able to pull off the old school, throwback wrestler look with his just his tights and boots.

I have the distinction of having wrestled King Kong Bundy many times, in the mid-late 90s. I've mentioned him before.
Bundy wasn't a bad guy by any stretch. Always very nice and professional, and safe in the ring too, he was a feather. He would teach you as you worked him, and would always give you some time after a match to talk it over.
He once told me that one day, I'd wrestle bigger names than him and that losing to him wouldn't matter in the end. And he was right. I remembered this, him telling me this, when I saw he had passed, and it made the ressentment I had towards him for being protective of his "aura" go away.
He helped me a lot. Being a heavyweight in a smaller men territory wasn't always an envious task because you had to get by without doing the flips & dives when that was what the people paid to see. Bundy helped me learn how to be the heavyweight I could be and helped me learn how to do my job (getting the small guys over, let's face it) the best I could. I'll really give him the credit for that, and I'm sure Kurrgan and Brick Crawford and Tank and the other heavies that were with Rougeau at the time would give give him that same credit too.
I'm either asking for or laying down for a 5-count Saturday night.
Thank you, Mr. Bundy!

I started watching at Mania 5, so Bundy was gone. I maybe saw his Mania 2 match at some point when I rented it before his mid 90’s return but he was one of those guys I always knew.
He was in that group of guys that somehow kept a spot in your mind, even if you never saw him wrestle yet. You knew his name and what he looked like.

I have the distinction of having wrestled King Kong Bundy many times, in the mid-late 90s. I've mentioned him before. Very touching story! I met him about 7 or 8 times with half of them being more personal settings and getting to spend a few hours around him. He was a kind, gentle soul though he definitely could be stern (and IMO not putting on a "show") if he had to be. He would go above and beyond for true fans but he was still very protective of his character and professional responsibilities. I'm sure he enjoyed spending time with you and other up and coming wrestlers, too. From my experiences being in backstage or private settings with wrestlers, many don't want to be seen as larger than life to fans or younger trainees, they wanted to treated like they were on an equal level and they would give honest, heartfelt advice to those in their profession. To me, there wouldn't be many "bigger" names than him because he had such a big personality about him that made him larger than life as a person but I'm sure he was things they way he said them to you. I especially like Mick Foley's tribute to him and especially considering what we know about how the Bulldogs manhandled young Mick. Bundy, on the other hand was gentle though believable as a huge bad guy, he didn't have to purposely hurt his opponent or "man them up" to the business in the back and though his career was somewhat short, it was storied most likely because of the type of person he was.

You’d think that a big bald guy in a simple black singlet would be pretty easy to forget but not KKB. I also thought that he was older than 61, I guess because he was around in the 80s and then all but disappeared other that quick 90s run it makes him seem like he was around longer.
RIP sir.
Randomly did Hogan ever try to get Bundy into WCW for a monster of the week/DoD run?

Especially when he shaved his moustache/beard. As for Bundy, RIP. I remember him facing Hogan on SNME and getting a win over him by countout which he would start saying "Bundymania" in promos until they had the rematch on the next SNME show where Hogan got revenge and beat him.

As I said at another forum, that series of matches on SNME are another example of things I can still recite commentary/promos from. Bobby promising a "big surprise" (gee I wonder who that could be?) Heenan and KKB (and Andre...oops, spoiled the surprise) chanting "Bundy! Bundy! Bundy!" Hogan talking about his secondary survival system that would kick in if Bundy beat him so bad his heart stopped beating. Andre attacking the cameraman after he was banned from ringside. Heenan getting his neck wrung again, and Mean Gene's update on his condition? "Who cares?" Of course those matches indirectly started the wheels turning towards The Main Event in February too.

Bundy vs. Hogan, for what it's worth, is an underrated little match.

Bundy vs. Hogan, for what it's worth, is an underrated little match. I've heard it mentioned that they had done that match up to death around the country prior to Wresltemania 2, which might contribute to it being considered underrated. And I've always liked it, and as I grew up I really started appreciating Elvira's and Ventura's back and forth.

I am now remembering...didn't KKB no show a convention recently? There was a thread here about it, IIRC.

The 5-count is iconic, but I never understood why it wasn't a 6-count. Like, doesn't it make more sense to do six, since it's saying you hurt them so bad, you could pin them twice?

It always amazed me that he was a long younger than I thought he was.
Playing with his LJN figure is one of my earliest wrestling memories. Just...really miss those days.
RIP
