Wow. While I knew he was a wrestler, my first memories of him are from his appearance on Married With Children. I didn't know much about his career until I got older and started renting older tapes and going through the piles of old wrestling magazines we had. It was simply an amazing career had. RIP.

I was really hoping he’d get a HOF induction while he was still alive. RIP big guy.

King Kong Bundy was one the last of the big men of the 80s. We still have Kamala and the One Man Gang but Andre the Giant, Big John Studd, Bam Bam Bigelow and now King Kong Bundy are gone. I felt he was a legit threat to Hulk Hogan and his title. I remember Don Muraco holding Hogan’s arms while Bundy avalanched him in the corner breaking his ribs on Saturday Night’s Main Event. They main evented WrestleMania 2 in the big blue cage and it felt huge. I picked up his shoot interview several years ago and really enjoyed it. I thought he would’ve given a great speech at the hall of fame. He definitely deserves to be there. I miss him asking the ref to give him a five count. He was one of the greatest monster heels. RIP King Kong Bundy.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
One of the first wrestlers I recall getting any success in acting, even if it was pretty modest. I know his reputation sometimes takes a pounding from how much of an artifact he seemed like in the mid-90s, but he was definitely a star in his day.

His face turn in '84 was one of my favorite moments to discover after years of his WWF works. Ellering starts ripping him in an interview with Solie, then Bundy runs out during a montage to a HUUUUUGE pop: youtu.be/OYu2wcDyBOw?t=4818

Bundy was so great:
I was really looking forward to meeting him next month. R.I.P.

Sad to hear...he was unique. I always thought that someone should retry the 5 count gimmick or at least we should have special 5 count matches in big feuds. Of course the idea being sort of like a last man standing match in that you would have to really destroy your opponent but I Thought it would be cool to see someone kick out at 4 1/2.

Man this is not how I wanted to end today
Another HOF induction that should have happened while the guy was still alive... sucks.

Actually, it turns out the creators of Married With Children named the Bundy family after him as a tribute. It's only fitting that he got to appear in 2 episodes of the show. For many, their most vivid memory of King Kong Bundy is the Wrestlemania 2 main event against Hulk Hogan in LA. But to me, it was 1 year later when he ended Little Beaver's career at Wrestlemania 3, squashing him like a bug with that big splash. One of the best monster heels in his prime, underrated as hell. I was also hoping for him to be in the Hall of Fame while he was alive but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Damn... one of the first 'giants' that I enjoyed watching in my earlier years. It wasn't just that he was big, he was fast for his size.
And his speaking part in Richard Pryor's "Moving" made me laugh.
Rest in peace, sir.

He outlived a lot of his peers. Very sad way to end the day. :/
EDIT: Wait, he posted on Twitter 4 hours ago about being with Al Snow at WrestleCon?

Yep, and Steve and Marcy were named after Dusty, along with Al's coworker, Luke Ventura, was named after the body. The creators were huge fans, and King Kongs two appearances were memorable. Although i preferred him as Peggy's cousin. He scared me so much as a kid, but I still loved anytime he squashed someone. That five count was both hilarious and intimidating.
