He's extremely nonconformist about everything from what I can see, people like that can be interesting at times. Most people wipe their ass, too, and we don't really feel the need to elevate the iconoclasts on that issue.

Hey, just wanna say I appreciate ya FAN. I've learned a lot about trans issues and acceptance over the last few years and can see looking back many backward ass views I had.

Man, out of the two Glamour Boys, why couldn't WWE have hired Shane Sewell?
Oh that's right, he was too busy becoming a goddamn legend in Puerto Rico and cementing more of a legacy than Venis ever could.

Yeah, not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but looking back at threads from like 5-6 years ago or more, and comparing it to now, a lot's changed.

Its wrestling so whatever, however I wouldn't want to wake up one morning and find that Anthony Joshua was now identifying as a woman and wanted to fight Katy Taylor. That's not how any of this works, and to even bring that up as even mildly a possibility, even in jest, is transphobic. It's transphobic to speak of the issue of trans people in sports?? Edit - after reading a few more posts, I see that others have responded much better than me. "If you suggest in jest someone wakes up one morning and runs into the womens sport then you're transphobic" Well. There's a lot to say here, and it isn't about hate of trans people, or that they should stay in their place. It's now an issue of 'is that joke hate speech?'. Regardless, I don't think this issue is going to go away, and labelling anyone who doesn't accept the views right away as transphobic will only cause more friction. I think some people see this equally (or more) valid than racial or sexism issues, whereas others see it as a separate issue.

I'm surprised that was bannable back then. Wait, TPR, you worked for the WWF's AOL site? And yes, the AOL chat room(s) were very touchy regarding the Terms of Service. I remember getting a TOS violation for mentioning the Rocky Horror Picture Show there. /WWF and Kids' WB chats...good times.... //The Grandstand forums too. I was a chat room host for the WWF room from 97 until the end of 99. I tended to be a little more lenient than some other hosts. Technically you should TOS someone for things like “bitch” but the room tended to flow a little better if you let things like that fly with just a warning . Val was scrolling “VOTE NADER” told him to stop and then he dropped a couple of gay slurs on someone who said he sucked.

Because one was supposed to be Santino being his twin sister as opposed to Santino Marella deciding he needs to live his life as a woman. I guess it’s simply that one is just a guy in a wig

Nobody is allowed to immediately switch gender-based divisions on a whim based on how they're publicly identifying. No-one is arguing for that. It's transphobic to suggest that a trans-athlete should be suspected of competing in a different division solely for their personal gain.

I understand the thinking of people who are not comfortable with trans-gender athletes as I find most people don’t know the difference between a person dressed in drag and a transgender person Add in media like these pictures and you get where the misunderstanding comes from. What's the story with that picture? I'm guessing it's some type of international game/league, but I don't think I've ever seen that sport

I can admit I was heavily bigotted towards trangendered and used to mistake them for trannies. It wasnt until I dated a trans woman for a brief period that I understood their plight and understood the difference. This board has helped me learn so much about transgendered people and I will continue to learn too. And also how to be be an ally to the LBGTQ community.

Judging by the colours, Sweden vs Iran.

She played for the Australian National Handball team. Also played Australian Rules Football. She is no longer on the team as some teammates refused to use the locker room with her.

Yeah, not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but looking back at threads from like 5-6 years ago or more, and comparing it to now, a lot's changed. The reactions to Santina Marella at WM woukd have been very different There was still a bit too much "you're over reacting, let me tell you why a man dressed as a woman is the very pinnacle of humour" for my tastes, though granted if this was 2009 FAN I would have had to drill holes in my head to try and unsee the thread.
