I used to be so incredibly ignorant about trans people and issues concerning gender identity. I'm glad a lot of that ignorance has been banished to the void over the years. It's embarrassing looking back at how I used to think about trans people when I was in my early 20's.

Trans issues have long been kind of a pet issue for me, probably since in the mid-2000s I read a lot of webcomics and went down a bit of a rabbit hole of reading trans comics for awhile (I'm still actually kind of annoyed Venus Envy just sort of petered out, wanted to see it concluded) so I became more acquainted with some of the difficulties that can arise from it and nuances of being trans than a lot of other people were at that point in time.

Yeah, not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but looking back at threads from like 5-6 years ago or more, and comparing it to now, a lot's changed. The reactions to Santina Marella at WM woukd have been very different Heck, that's why so many got pissed at his entry at the women's Rumble this year.
