If they were another Impact they wouldve hired Russo or Jarrett or Hulk Hogan.

"Mick Foley's going to win their world title tonight. That'll put butts in the seats!"
These guys are fools.

They’d have a point if Impact sold out the same kind of buildings AEW has or did the PPV buys AEW did on their first PPV without television and also beat NXT so bad on Wednesdays, they have to rebrand and restructure the entire developmental system.
Like, look, if they were saying this in January 2019 when they were in bidding wars for your Piper Nivens or trying to get Omega to cut them off at the pass, sure, execs can say they’re another Impact. August 2021, though? Sour grapes, dude.

"These guys (AEW) have children wrestling, how do they even think they can get near us?"
Which company had an actual child win the Tag Titles again?

WWE is full of yes men and other jabronis who don't recognize talent.

Calling a 5'10 wrestler 'a child' is exactly the sort of amazingly regressive and out of touch bullshit that has gotten WWE to this point and keeps them from realizing how much f***ing talent they have on their hands. The only thing keeping this company's hubris from making it go down like the Hindenberg is nostalgia and habit.

Why do I have images of some WWE bigwig reading Vince a bedtime story?
"And AEW is just another TNA, and they won't threaten WWE again?"
"No Vince they won't. Now go to sleep, and sweet dreams."

AEW sold out the goddamn United Center With nothing more than a very vague hint of CM Punk showing up. Like, so vague to the point that nobody (other than the fans) uttered the words "CM Punk" in hyping up the United Center show. That's still very mindblowing.

Name dropping Jungle Boy as a "child" wrestling. Jungle boy who is over, good in the ring, and has a great look. Yes, that "child."

AEW sold out the goddamn United Center They booked and sold out the United Center for the recording of the second episode of the new B show that, at the time, hadn’t even debuted yet that was airing on Friday night after Smackdown off the mere hint that CM Punk might be there. Like, we haven’t really spoken about how crazy that all seems even though it all happened.

I don’t even want to come off like I’m ragging on Impact because they’ve managed to rebrand themselves in a way that should not have worked. There was even a time I was like “Yeah, they should die now, there’s no hope” and they proved me wrong and the business is better off for it.
But watch any TNA PPV in the first couple of years where it was basically Vince Russo coming in and tying up loose ends from the Attitude Era nobody asked to be tied up and the revolving door of dudes who came in with a handful that actually did much for the company and it’s just the most unfair of comparisons.

I'm pretty sure AEW has had four events within two months time (United Center, All Out, Newark Arthur Ashe) that were bigger events and venues than TNA/Impact ever sold. All over 10,000 fans. They have either sold them out or are getting really damn close.
To the notion that AEW is using "Children"? Well those "Children" are damn good. Also what the f*** is Dominick Mysterio then? The whole gimmick that he has is that he is a child! They had Braun Strowman win the tag titles with an ACTUAL child.
And frankly I'd rather be watching talented "kids" like Jungle Boy, Griff Garrison, Dante Martin, and Julia Hart than see WWE cart out old part timers for main events instead of actually building new stars and for the future. They have no idea how to build for the future and haven't for years. And now that a new company that is on the fast rise actually DOES show they're competent, can sell out big arenas, and build new stars? They're scared. Maybe Vince isn't, but I guarantee people around him with any sensible thought in their brains are.

WWE executives are just waiting until the company is stripped and sold to the highest bidder.
