From the sounds of things, the Charlie's Angels movies (the early 2000s ones) would put backstage WWE at the same time to shame and Lucy Liu had to be held back from murdering Bill Murray at one point.

Yeah, reading about it, it seems like Murray was a real f***ing asshole, to Liu in particular. Reading it all made me feel bad for Drew Barrymore, who it was apparently a big passion project for.

The making of "He-Man" is a pretty entertaining story. Just a story of bros bullshitting and lying their way to the top and then blaming the women behind She-Ra when sales started to sag.
The story behind battle cat is one of the best behind the scenes ever.

The Channel Awesome downfall was fascinating to see. Even the aftermath is weird. Used to be a big Cinema Snob fan, but he even seems to have gotten to be too much to bother watching anymore

Makes the movie fascinating to watch haha. Brad and Pitt during Interview with a Vampire is another similar case.

Oh yeah, another one is that, if Defunctland has taught me anything, it's that the drama that goes into theme parks can be riveting.

Just want to recommend the documentary "Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films", it's a laugh from beginning to end. Before that the director Mark Hartley did two other brilliant documentaries, Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation! and Machete Maidens Unleashed! (Which was about exploration films that were filmed in Philippines in 70s adnd 80s) Both are well worth watching.

The various behind-the-scenes dramas that have plagued the Star Trek franchise are quite fascinating.

Family sitcoms.
It's a given that the cast hates one another backstage.

The Channel Awesome downfall was fascinating to see. My biggest guilty pleasure is videos dunking on Doug Walker and his dickhead friends.

As a big soap opera watcher (the past, not the present) I eagerly read any backstage morsel I come across.

The lead up to the First World War fascinates me. Particularly the political intrigue. The fact that Austria became a dual monarchy literally overnight, and that fewer than a dozen people understood the complexity of the arrangement.

Much like Chevy Chase, Murry has always had a reputation of being somewhat difficult to work with. Which is not surprising given the amount of hoops most producers and directors have to jump through to get him involved in their projects.

Does the furry fandom count as an industry given the size if it? I'm friends with folk who arr staff at a bunch of major cons so get the inside track on a lot of drama and it's always fascinating. everything about that Rainfurrest con fascinates and horrifies me. honestly sometimes when I'm bored I look up conventions under "Troubled Production" on TvTropes and just laugh.

The fact that Austria became a dual r pure literally overnight, and that fewer than a Duden people understood the complexity of the arrangement. I feel like the buildup to WWI is just begging for an all-star cast sort of historic drama filled to the brim with intrigue and treachery. Either that or an absurdist black comedy that's still more or less true to life like The Death of Stalin. Actually, that might be the perfect way to do it, cast on the strength of the actors and have them use their natural accents so it doesn't take you out of the moment.

There is a 1970’s BBC miniseries called The Fall of Eagles, you can find episodes on YouTube. I highly recommend, all star cast and writing even though the cinematography shows its age. I think a modernness day remake would be well worth doing.

The Beach Boys. Where do I even begin? -Murray Wilson mentally and physically abusing his sons, especially Brian. -Brian's battle with mental illness and drugs. -Carl Wilson and his alcoholism. -Dennis Wilson befriending Charles Manson and being permanently scarred by the murders. -Mike Love...in general.

My favorite story about Bill Murray is that Harold Ramis understood how difficult Murray is to work with and how it translates to the screen, so he filmed the scenes for "Groundhog Day" in a reverse order so 'nice Bill' would be at the end of the movie and 'not-nice Bill' would be at the beginning.

The downside being the movie effectively ended their friendship until just before Ramis' death.
